Coming off Epilepsy Medication...help please!
Hey guys,
So thought I could get some help up here if any of you have been through the same thing. For 21 years I have had medication for epilepsy. 5 years ago, when I was 16 I started coming off my medication because I had not had a seizure in a while and thought that I may have grown out of it. But it turned out I hadn't, and a month after being totally free from the medication (Epilim Chrono), I had a big seizure. It lasted a total of an hour, coming in and out of it, which thank goodness I haven't had any complications from. I went back on the Epilim. 5 Years later and I haven't had one since so am coming off my tablets again, and am now on only 100mg.
My question is to anyone who may have come off epilim, what symptoms have you had? My once very curly hair is starting to lose its curl ( :( ), and I have been getting headaches/feeling dizzy. I am hoping it's just the side effects of coming off medication that I have been on for almost 21 years now, has anyone had similar side effects?
Thanks guys.
Ruth

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more lovely and more temperate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer's lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines, And often is his gold complexion dimm'd; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd; But thy eternal summer shall not fade Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest; Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou growest: So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, So long lives this and this gives life to thee.
