how they text:

anakin would be such a shitty texter. like its not coherent. his texts are like: ",j ]]] met u at temple ." and he's such a SLOW texter too. he may be great at engineering but when it comes to texting? no. touch screens are his weakness. it only gets WORSE after dooku cuts his arm off because the touch screen don't register the touch of the metal arm, so he's basically limited to only texting with one arm. padme's getting tired of having to decode his texts.

padme ALWAYS has the perfect reaction pic on hand. sometimes she doesn't respond for like five minutes because she's scrolling through her 100GB folder of reaction pics trying to find a particular one. its a shared folder between her and her handmaids. she's also a chronic user of the casual "lmao" or "real". (anakin had no idea what lmao meant for the two years they were dating. ashoka was the one to tell him.)

obi wan writes with full grammar, no messing about. everyone thinks its some stuck-up jedi trait but he actually begun the habit as a padawan because he was fed up of qui-gon's writing, who would be like using all lower case letters and misspelling things on official jedi documents. actually, the entire disaster lineage is just a cycle of padawans wanting to spite their masters. yoda can't type for shit (cmon the guy only has three fingers), and it drove dooku crazy. for reference, dooku writes every text message as if its an email, and he signs off on every text with Kind Regards, Count Dooku of Serenno. qui gon wrote the way he did to spite dooku, and then obi wan writes with full grammar to spite qui gon. anakin isn't a poor texter on purpose, but obi wan knows it's the curse of the disaster lineage. also, obi wan is like a master of deciphering anakin's texts, though only because he's had like ten years of practice. rex and ashoka sometimes forward anakin's illegible texts over to obi wan when they really have no idea what it says.
