Things you can do to avoid e@ting:
•take a shower!
Idk why this works but your shower/bathroom is not normally associated with food or eating in general. No one ever eats a meal in the shower, so just hop in and let the water do its thang. You’ll feel less hungry after.
•go on a walk
Ok hear me out I never thought this would work bc I thought it would just make me hungrier but when you walk you’re inducing a brand new response from your body. It is cardio at the end of the day, even tho it’s light cardio. The walking kind of switches gears in your body and brain, and your brain will focus its energy and thoughts on walking since that’s the stimulus you’re giving it. Your brain is not smarter than you, it’s just a machine. It doesn’t know why you’re doing things. So it changes according to what you’re doing.
•electrolytes
Find a good brand of electrolytes that are sugar free and low in calorie so you stay within ur calorie limit and fill ur stomach up w water and nutrients! When we don’t eat we also need the hydration from electrolytes. Your body legit can’t function without it
•tea
Trust me. Just drink the damn tea
•rub ur stomach
The growling sometimes gets soothed for me if I rub my stomach. Idk why it just does, I also don’t know if this works for everyone but try it
•gum
Duh! Find a good sugar free gum you like <5 cals pls and just chew those religiously
•don’t watch a show/movie
Ik everyone says to put on a show or movie u like but to me I find it makes me feel my hunger more and think about food more. May be bc I normally used to eat while I watched something so I guess I associate that with food. No bueno
•spoil the food
Hot sauce, trash, perfume, whatever you can do to mess the food up where u legit can’t eat it do it.
•try to last until late (when places close)
I had a bad habit with fast food so I would just stay hungry until later at night so even if I wanted fast food I couldn’t order bc it wasn’t open. Not many 24 hr joints by me. So either I’d have to eat whatever I have at home which is barely anything or just wait until morning when I wasn’t even craving it anymore
•diet drinks
Idc what u mfs say I will drink my zero sugar and diet drinks till I die. Try zero cal sparkling water if u don’t like soda. The carbonation fills ur stomach up
•mukbangs
It honestly helps me not feel as hungry tbh
•food menus
Sometimes just browsing through the menus of places I like to eat at makes me feel good. Idk I don’t order it but it’s nice to see what’s there when I just can’t stop thinking about food
•smell something gross/minty
This one’s bad and hard to do but if there’s anything that smells gross or sometimes a minty smell does it , smell it. Your scent receptors will send a message to ur brain that whatever is there isn’t appetizing and you’ll feel less hungry

WL tips from someone who has lost 70+ lbs
These tips are for people who are already disordered and who do not wish to recover. Please do NOT do anything here if you are not already disordered. Ana is a terrible illness that kills thousands a year, not a fast weight loss hack. People like me do this because we experience mental turmoil if we do not keep losing weight.
<~>Habits and behaviors <~>
-fasting will be your best friend, you don’t have to fast for 23 hours every day tho. I usually fast for around 18-20.
-ALWAYS fidgeting, it burns cals steadily without tiring you out.
-I will go into this later but don’t track cals exactly
-don’t work out 24/7, take rest days. It is literally impossible to give 100% all the time
-accept that weight loss will not happen over time, fall in with the process, not just the end goal
<~> How to hide it<~>
-if you have lighter hair, dye it black. It will make your hair look thicker even if it’s thinning.
- take food to your room and feed it to pets / throw it out. If you do feed it to pets just make sure they can have said food before hand.
-when you are eventually made to “maintain” or “gain” drink a LOT of water before. Put rocks in your bra (if you can). Just wrap them in something so they don’t make sound. Also hide as much in your clothes as you can. Weight yourself at hike before hand to make sure you are where they want you to be.
-don’t always talk about food but also don’t never talk about food. Only talk about food around “normal” eating times.
<~>Foods to eat / not eat<~>
-I believe in a balance of everything. Don’t res so hard that you only eat like two things but also don’t eat whatever you want.
-I suggest sourdough bread, the one I get is 90 cals for a piece bigger than my hand.
-eggs
-ramen, and if your on a liquid fast just eat the broth.
<~> how to lessen your appetite <~>
-ik this sounds crazy when all you can think about is food but i swear doing this helps so much
-so at first force yourself to a limit, this part is really hard. Drink so much water, and warm drinks.
-after you can eat within that limit for a while (around two months) slowly stop counting cals as religiously. Still try not to overdo the eating
-after you’ve done this you will find that your just not hungry, yeah sure theres still food noise but just not real hunger.
-also sleep as much as you can, if you sleep more your appetite will decrease.

This post is entirely devoted to tips, tricks, mental health, and other related topics to 4n0r3x!@. Do not continue reading if mention of c@l0r!3s, w3!ght gain/loss, st@rv!ng, f@st!ng, etc.
Everything will be after the cut.
Chapter 1- Symptoms
Dizziness: this is most likely caused by low iron. you can take an iron supplement to help you in the long run. these take a few months to begin working, so you won't immediately see an improvement. they don't help too much in general, if i'm being honest. this can also be caused by lack of electrolytes. the best way to absorb these is by gatorade or liquid iv. there are a number of calories in both of these, but i find that these do not affect my weight in any way. they are also low enough that your body will naturally burn it off anyways. one thing that a lot of rexxys often suffer from is extreme dizziness upon standing. everytime i would stand up, especially during a long fast, i would get so dizzy my vision would go black. a good way to help this is to slowly stand up, take as much time as you need to, even if it feels silly.
- Hair loss: hair loss is caused by a lack of nutrition in your body. when i was at my lowest weight, my hair got really thin and was falling out like crazy. i would have so much come out when i was showering, brushing my hair, or pulling it up. there isn't too much you can do to prevent this from happening. to not receive any sort of suspicion from this, pulling your hair into a bun, ponytail, or plaits is best. i found that people typically don't notice too much, but if they do you can play it off usually.
Sick/nausea: i'm not entirely sure what the cause of this is. i know that so so many people with eds suffer from almost chronic nausea. a lot of people have told me nicotine helps them with this. a lot of times after you eat anything, it's common to feel like this. a peppermint stick is very helpful in my opinion. they're little sticks with essential oils in them. you can buy them from amazon for 5-10 dollars and carry it around with you in a purse or pocket.
Brain Fog: there's truly nothing that works for this. it's the price to pay with being skinny. your brain doesn't have anything to run off of. if people begin to notice this, saying your sleep schedule has been off is super helpful. this symptom will most likely affect your grades, which is one factor to pay attention to. sleep is very important to help minimize this. getting enough sleep will do so much more than you may realize.
Fainting: at some point, you may faint. it's important to check for bruising, swelling, and other injuries after. if you feel this sensation coming up, try to sit down or lean against something to prevent as much pain as possible. often, carbs or protein bars/shakes can help reduce this too. obviously, this idea is not ideal. i see it as a small price to pay to protect this secret.
Fasting & Starving- Tips/Tricks
I usually begin my fasts around 6 or 7 pm. I have my OMAD (one meal a day) at this time. This time works best for me because I leave my house before 7am for school, which makes skipping breakfast easy. then, at school i treat my lunch period as a study hall. the real challenge is when i get home and trying not to binge.
My favorite techniques for when i feel the urge to binge are mukbangs, thinspo, meanspo, writing, nicotine, gum, water loading, and distracting my mind. mukbangs help because they make me sick to my stomach when they're eating thousands of calories and being really messy, so it takes away my appetite. i have an entire pinterest board of thinspo to remind myself why this discomfort will be worth it to look like this girls. meanspo is usually best when given to you from another person. tumblr is a great space for that, if you create a post asking for meanspo then somebody will respond. or find an anabuddy and give each other meanspo/anything else needed. writing helps because i can gather my thoughts and find the reasoning behind starving myself again. nicotine helps because it distracts your mouth. gum does the same. water loading is basically chugging a whole bunch of water. this fills me up and usually leaves me feeling a little sick. coloring or drawing, especially ed related things, helps to put my mind's attention on something other than the sensation of starvation.
If somebody notices you're not eating enough, it truly depends on the person who's asking. before recovery, i would tell my mom i just forgot or i was simply feeling sick with a headache or flu. my friends i would just tell them i already ate/am eating later. same works for most other people. now if you are supposed to be recovered, it's easiest to break whatever fast you have going and eat a regular or semi-regular meal in front of your parents. this is so much easier than being forced to gain all of the weight back.

📌 what helps (no context necessary) 📌
Everyone asks “how do you stay on track” — here’s how. Take what fits. Ignore the rest.
1. Delay the decision.
Set a 30-minute timer. If it still matters after, fine. But most things don’t survive the wait.
2. Log everything.
You forget less when it’s in writing. Numbers > feelings.
3. Use small utensils.
Takes longer. Feels like more. Slows everything down.
4. Ice water. Always.
Cold = alert. Also makes the other thoughts quieter.
5. Mint > sugar.
If you want something sweet, go sharp instead. Gum, tea, oil, whatever.
6. Clean first.
Before anything else, tidy. It helps recalibrate.
7. Stand when you can.
Passive movement still counts. Don’t sit unless you’re earning it.
8. Plan out loud.
Even if no one’s there, narrate the plan. Hearing it makes it real.
9. Brush your teeth.
Twice minimum. It resets the mouth. You’ll want less.
10. Delay “first intake” as long as possible.
Once it starts, it gets harder to stop.
11. Track progress obsessively.
Whatever method works. Spreadsheets, apps, photos, stickers, scratches on the wall. Doesn’t matter.
12. Black coffee is a tool.
Bitter, hot, zero. Enough said.
13. Cut things small.
Visually it tricks the brain. Looks like more. Feels like less commitment.
14. Repetition = safety.
Same meals. Same outfits. Same schedule. Predictability keeps you in control.
15. Stay cold.
Blankets are earned. Heat is a reward.
16. Pick a uniform.
Avoid mirrors, avoid choices. Choose once, then stop choosing.
17. Never eat directly from packaging.
It’s chaos. Use a plate. Use a scale. Use a rule.
18. Save pictures.
Visual reminders of why. Make it a folder. Scroll through it when your brain gets loud.
19. Say no out loud.
Even if it’s just to the fridge. Out-loud “no” works better than silent guilt.
20. Delay. Again. Always delay.
Craving = momentary. Control = permanent.
21. Use liquids to kill time.
Tea. Water. Sparkling stuff. Sip constantly.
22. Keep your hands busy.
Paint nails. Fold clothes. Shred receipts. Idle hands spiral fast.
23. Don’t trust your mood.
Mood lies. Mood passes. Stick to the system.
24. Sleep earlier to avoid noise.
Late night = weak decisions. Just go to sleep. You don’t need that hour.
25. Check the stats.
Weigh in. Take notes. Keep score. It keeps you aware.
26. Routines over feelings.
How you feel doesn’t change what needs to be done.
27. Reward with non-food.
Playlist, candle, bath, nap, photo. But never what you actually want.
28. Watch people you want to be like.
Consume their content. Learn their habits. Copy until it sticks.
29. Replace "I'm hungry" with "I'm bored."
One’s real. One isn’t. You know which one wins.
30. Don’t keep “options.”
If it’s not in your space, it can’t tempt you.
31. No “just a bite.”
You know how that ends. Don’t start it.
32. Pause. Then pause again.
The second pause is where your power is.
