“It’s fuckin’ cold yeah…”

Even Wicker was huddled up on Izzy’s shoulders, feathers puffed, looking like a ball of soot with a pointed face. Feathers were good for keeping warm sometimes, but Ash had a distinct lack of them.

Well there was only one solution really, which was going to involve some underwing huddling. “Do… you wanna wait out under here?”

---- “ Wait under... ” Ash repeated those words to herself, as if she wasn’t quite sure what Izzy was asking yet. Which... was completely true! She didn’t! That said though, Ash is far from clueless or dumb, and thus it only took a few seconds or so for the puzzle pieces to snap together in her head. Once the proverbial jigsaw was completed, her face lit up, resembling a tomato in hue afterward. Or perhaps an apple, since they’re far more sweet.

      “ O-oh, gosh-- Izzy, is... isn’t that-- your personal space? ”

      ... She can’t say she isn’t slightly interested in the idea though--

“Hey!?? A…Are you alright Ash? I… I haven’t seen you in a while.”

Truth be told Freya was extremely relieved to see Ash again. There was a sort of center to Freya that Ash helped keep in check. Freya wasn’t sure what exactly it was, but she just felt more calm with Ash. Still, what she said concerned Freya. It’s pretty well known that at this point in time, Freya’s done a lot to keep Ash alive and she intends on continuing that trend. “Do you need me to get you a blanket?”

But it was knowing that she was safe that kept Freya happy despite everything.

---- “ I-I’m fine...! It’s... it’s not that serious-- ”

      She shrinks a bit, but her tension relaxed within a few seconds. Ash isn’t really sure what she’s talking about with the whole ‘haven’t seen you in a while’ thing, but it’s a non-issue. A light shiver rushes through her bloodstream, and Ash’s frown quivers a bit from the chill. She hates the ‘cold’ months of the year...

      “ A blanket...? Yeah, maybe that’d be... that’d be nice. I guess I’m-- I’m not as used to the cold as other people... ”

---- “ It’s so cold out... and I’m all sore. Mnngh... I feel awful. ”

          Sure, you had a tray of food, but your eyes were more preoccupied on your phone. You were busy trying to find more yarnwork designs - or perhaps more tricks to try as a whole. Either way, your food had less of your attention than anything else around you, and your nails gave soft thumps as you hummed.

          You DID take note of the animal sniffing at your feet, and for a while, you had just brushed it off… Or at least tried to. Your brows furrowed for a moment, before you scooted back so you could get a look under the table.

          …?

          Wait. Wait a minute. That’s a fucking PUPPY…. You found yourself scrambling off your seat and onto the floor, to get eye level with the animal. “ Oooh my god! You’re just the cutest thing ever, aren’tcha?? “ The dog can’t reply, why’d you talk like they could? ( well. at spooky high, would you be surprised if they COULD respond? ) “ Oh ! Do you want up ?? “

---- Initially, the pup seems a bit startled as Doll nearly darts out of her chair. But, short attention span and all, it happily barks back up at her, almost as if it WAS actually replying! D’aww! Adorable! Just ignore the... sword on it’s back, and it’s probably a contender for cutest thing at Spooky High! Put this dog and Blobert in the same room, and you’d create a serotonin singularity that was so powerful, everyone on the planet would smile in unison, even if only for a brief moment.

      Of course he wants up. He’s practically already bounded toward her, tongue flapping as it hung from his open mouth, which was curled into a smile so dumb it melted hearts. However, as much as the snowball-esque little doggy wanted ‘up’, it would seem as if there’s some opposition first and foremost.

      The sword hovering slightly above his back separates, and hovers upright (with the hilt facing upward, so really it’s more like ‘downright’) behind Nephy. The gem in said hilt shimmers, a pupil forming inside of it, as slightly translucent, shimmering golden wings fizzle into existence at it’s sides. There’s Ra’el! He’s actually not that hard to please, but still...

      He speaks up, voice calm, yet booming, and with a distinct heavenly echo to it.

      “ You would be wise to handle my friend here with care, creature. Lest ye bring down the heavens’ wrath. ”

---- Incoming, Dahlia! Incoming missile! And by that, the narration of course means that the little pooch is bounding straight towards her, probably to sniff at her shoe or something like that. Unfortunately, he’s stopped by his floating, glowing sword friend hovering off his back, and positioning himself in-between Nephy and Dahlia.

      Ra’ael has some words for the demon, apparently. Leave it to the angel to not trust these guys.

      “ Halt, daemon! Prove your purity of heart to me before placing your hands upon such a creature with the legendary title of ‘good boy’! ” His voice booms, the gem in the swords’ hilt forming into a crystalline ‘eye’ of sorts.

      No dog time until you can prove you’re ‘trustworthy’, it seems.

---- Hopefully Miri doesn’t have any problems with small animals running up and sniffing her. Because that’s exactly what’s going down at this moment in time. It’s the Disney Princess energy, really... crowding cute critters to your side. Usually birds or woodland creatures, but... sure, it works on dogs too! Even ones that are of questionable origin and lugging a sword much bigger than their body around! Sure!

      After a few bouts of sniffing, the pup just looks up at the princess all dumb-like, while the sword hovering above it’s back... speaks! Warning the dog!

      “ Be respectful, friend! You appear to be in the presence of royalty! ”

---- “ Be cautious, Nephy. She’s-- ”

      Mumbled warnings couldn’t stop this pup. Regardless of whether or not the very tall girl in front of him was a demon or not, the snowball-like dog bounds right up to Freya and sits down at her feet. After which, he excitedly barks up at her, tongue hanging out of his mouth floppily.

      He’s just sitting there. Waiting on something, perhaps?

---- Average lunchtime. Chatter all around, room very loud, probably some shenanigans going on at some far-flung table. The usual. However, Doll could probably feel something sniffing around at her feet after a while... and no, it was MUCH too small to be Scott.

      A snow-white ‘pomeranian’, with softly glowing markings trailing down it’s body. There seemed to be a sword attached to it’s back, and a little halo above it’s head. All of that was secondary information to the primary tidbit though!

      It’s begging for food with a dumb little ‘smile’ on it’s face.
