Gel bleach is also quite fun for this kind of thing. And hydrogen peroxide will neutralize it once you get the bleaching level you're happy with.
A different effect than just silver fabric paint, but another thing that is pretty easy to do with things you may already have laying around.
Go forth and mod your clothes! make them YOURS! fuck fast fashion!
I modded a sweater for the first time!! Fabric paint is so fun but so hard to use!

Love is Kind
I'm doing a journaling plan through the Bible app. "Are We Loving Well?" This is a 15 day plan. This is from Day 2.
Who can I be kind to today? (RAoK - random acts of kindness)
Do Justice, love mercy, Walk humbly with your God.
Kindness is Love's quiet acts. The gentle hand. The encouragement. The last cookie and the unexpected small gifts. The little glimmers you can bring into someone else's day.
There is definitely a time in love for grand gesture, but love is built upon those tiny moments. Several large stones does not a foundation make. They must be shored up and ground in mortar. Just the same, ever grand gestures in a time span may be remembered, but they are performative. They serve vanity. They cannot stand on their own. Kindness, real and true, and small and frequent, serves as the grout. The sand and mortar. and without it, all the grand gestures will tumble to the ground.
Like grains of sand. Small and consistent and utterly, overwhelmingly, unstoppable.
Focus Verses: I Corinthians 13:4 Ephesians 4:32 Proverbs 11:17 Micah 6:8
I did a little focus doddle of a small pile of sand. Those tiny acts of kindness, those grains of sand, can wear away at the harshest exterior.

Love is Patient
I'm doing a journaling plan through the Bible app. "Are We Loving Well?" This is a 15 day plan. This is from Day 1. (Which is yesterday at this point)
The patience of Corinthians is not an idle waiting. It is prayerful. It is meant to be time spent in God's perspective. We don't wait while tapping our foot and checking our watch. We Pray. We remain available. We see if they need our help. We love a person for who and here the yare, not who we think they should be.
God loves us like a parent and a friend. Parents are patient and kind. Gently guiding their child. Letting them stumble and fall, but never too badly. They stand waiting while we shout 'I do it myself!!: And a friend holds our hand while we stumble through. Providing unjudging comfort and encouragement.
I need to look to God for this template of love. I need to keep my loved ones in prayer and keep myself in patience.
Philippians 3:13. Forget what has passed and strive towards Christ.
Don't marinate in past transgressions and faults, but seek improvement and progress towards mutual goals.
Towards God, who is the cornerstone.
Focus Verses: I Corinthians 13:4 James 1:4 Romans 2:4
And also added Philippians 3:13, which was the focus of Sunday's preaching at my church.

Prayer Doodles
Sometimes, when I do morning devotionals/journaling, I think of a little design that can remind me of my focus throughout the day and I'll doodle that in pen on my hand or wrist. The pen I use (Precise V5) often washes off within the day so it's perfect.
Today, the doodle was a small pile of sand.
Why did I sit down at my computer later in the morning, pull my sleeves back, and wonder why I had this strange black spotty mold on my hand! "Oh no! What is this! Was there mold on my sweater? Did I brush up against something in the garage?"
No, you dufus. It's the sand that you drew there. The sand that represents the tiny acts of kindness that are the mortar to love. (I'll do another post with my journaling today to explain that more)
but no. Not mold. Just pen. And a sprinkling of adhd forgetfulness.

In the Beginning
Verse of the Day (from bible app): John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was GOD.
Before God made the heavens and the earth in 6 days, there was just God and the Word. I can't even imagine the void and... just God. Like an empty shoe box. Waiting to be made. Before Jesus, before the flood, before the garden. Just the Word of God. Just God.
I had a dream once where I found, in the middle of the forest, floating orbs of light. Each large enough to hold a person. Hiding behind the trees, people cowered in fear of God's omnipotent light. I walked forward and surrendered. Fell into one of the lights and was caught and cradled by it. It was Love and peace and release.
I imagine that presence was what was before the beginning
In the beginning, there was the Word God Love Peace

Step 0: Pray
3/17/25 - Monday Morning Devotional
-----------------
Read Nehemiah 2:1-8 * Focus Nehemiah 2:4 Then the King said to me "what do you request?" So I prayed to the God of heaven.
Pray to god before making your plans. Before submitting requests. Before taking action.
Pray before planning and before speaking. So often, we get an idea but do not take hte time to check with God. To check our ideas against his Plan. And then we wonder why our actions are not blessed by our Father. Nehemiah took just a moment before answering his king to check in with THE KING.
Before step 1, Pray Before you 'step', pray.
