No, I'm not proud of what I did. I shouldn't have tried to betray them, even if what they were doing seemed wrong to me. I'd grown so attached to a few of the members... I could even say Shel was my best friend. We got through so many things together, and I attempted to steal from them. And then just... leave them behind. I feel terrible, like I truly should have been killed. I regret it. I just wish I could go back and change that. I wish I could start ever. 

I wish this apocalypse didn't change me to who I turned into.

Eddie froze, unsure of what to do. He definitely wanted to live, but he hadn’t come across a stranger with 100% good intentions yet. Then again, he definitely wanted to live.

"… Wh- Okay?"

Stephanie slowly lead him to peer around the corner of a building, pointing at a few armed men who hovered a couple dead bodies. They seemed to be taking whatever they could get from the now deceased group. One asked the other, 'You positive you shot him in the head?'

"They don't seem like good news," whispered Stef, lightly grabbing the other's wrist as she tugged him back around the corner. "Uh... I'm Stephanie," she whispered once more. "But, I guess this isn't a great time for introductions."

Once the hugging was over, Stef moved backwards to take another look at Shel. Her eyes trailed over her features, smiling at her. "I... I guess we both got lucky. Escaping is something I would've never believed I would've been able to do at that moment. I'm so... so sorry..." She stared at the ground, the corners of her lips tugging into a frown. "I should've never betrayed you guys."

Shel returned the embrace endearingly. “God, me too. I thought you were dead, or Roman was after you, or…” she trailed off breathlessly, disbelieving that the woman who’d helped her through most of the apocalypse was still here and had come to find her.
