“The Capricious Sky” has been selected as a finalist in the 2021 Korea-Australia Arts Foundation Prize. Feeling very fortunate. Over 600 entries, 66 shortlisted. Congratulations to all the other finalists. The Finalists’ Exhibition is expected to run from July 23 - August 27 at the Korean Cultural Centre, Ground Floor, 255 Elizabeth Street Sydney. I know, I know, I haven’t posted anything in ages, so thanks for waiting for me. Last year kind of got in the way (as I’m sure it did for a great many people). I’ve also been changing the studio and fixing my cranky back and neck (so far, so good). I have still been painting, though probably more planning than painting. I’m hopeful that this will lead to better work and more of it.

Hanging around the bar......I’ve no problem with that. Probably no better place to be on a stormy Saturday evening at the opening of the #hornsbyartprize The bad news....the bar is no longer there. The good news....the weather is clearing and the excellent Finalists’ Exhibition runs until October 28 in the stunning heritage listed Wallarobba Arts & Cultural Centre in Hornsby. ‘York & King in blue’ is now hanging at the Hornsby Art Prize Finalists’ Exhibition at the Wallarobba Arts and Cultural Centre until 28 October. I went and had a sneak peek this morning. There is some great art on show and I feel honoured to have my work hanging in this company. There are 106 artworks including paintings, drawings and sculptures. Another 22 digital artworks are on display at the Hornsby Library.
