Dark in love with light

I wait till the edge of time, Yet in a heartbeat, you disappear, Our fate's deceitful crime, Constantly forsaken with my tears, I climb the whispers of the night, A glimpse of you, dulling the edge of mine, As I fade away by your ethereal sight, The inevitable taunting of divine. For I have entered this eternal abyss, Chained by the earth's arc, Where I drown in your gentle kiss, As the day slowly embarks. Glistening oceans, I despise, envying the waves brushing my light, Praying for their demise, Bound by this celestial might. Weighed down by this timeless paradox, We bleed our love, the insensible war, Perhaps this is the way divine mocks, Abandoning us with the immortal scars. ~Swetha
