8+7=15, 2+4+1=7, so the answer is 75. That’s how I did it in my head, haha.
So interesting to see how people do it so differently!

Get To Know Me
Hello, my name is Brittany! I used to be the author of adiscontinuedblogyo.tumblr.com. I took a break from blogging for awhile and now here I am, picking it back up again. I'm in my first semester of my junior year of college at a private 4 year university. I'm earning my degree entirely online. I'm majoring in paralegal studies, minoring in psychology, and piling up a LOT of debt. I also work full-time so that's fun. Welcome to my world, haha.
1. What country are you studying in? United States
2. What courses are you taking this semester? Art Appreciation, Psychology of Women, Computers in Law, Developmental Psychology, Intro to Literature, and Tort Law
3. Favorite course? Right now, I'm really enjoying my art appreciation class! Seeing all the controversial art has been a lot of fun.
4. What languages do you know? Want to know? I only know English and some Spanish (I took 3 years in high school and might take a course next spring). I would like to learn more Spanish and Estonian as well.
5. Career aspiration? I don't have just one career I'd like to do. I'd like to dabble in a lot of things like law, human resources, teaching, writing, and private investigation.
6. Moment you knew what you wanted to do? Hmm, I think the moment I knew I wanted to study paralegal studies was when I took my intro to paralegal studies course just to see what it was like and found I really enjoyed learning about law! I made the decision to minor in psychology over the summer. I originally wanted to minor in English, but unfortunately, since I work full-time, I knew I wasn't going to be able to dedicate myself to it with all the reading and writing the minor would no doubt require. I do like psychology and found it to be easy enough to not take up too much of my time.
7. Where is your favorite place to study? In my bedroom at my desk.
8. When is your favorite time to study? I love to study in the afternoon the most but unfortunately my current work schedule doesn't allow that Monday-Friday :(
9. Clean desk or organized mess? Right now, its an absolute organized mess but I do plan on cleaning it up and adding some things to my desk to create a better study environment soon!
10. Music or no music? No music! Even music without lyrics will distract me.
11. Name top 3 worst distractions. My dog, who happens to be quite vocal, my cellphone, and my brain, which is easily distracted. I have not been and do not self-diagnose myself as having ADHD. I'm simply an overthinker, haha.
12. Favorite outfit for studying? Hmm, definitely just something cozy like an oversized sweater and leggings or a tee shirt and shorts.
13. Favorite study scent? I don't have a favorite one but I love to have a candle burning while I study! Right now, I don't have one though.
14. Name five things you would consider your study essentials. My computer, my to-do list, WIFI, my planner, and Microsoft Office applications.
15. Hardcopy books or digital copies? Digital copies because it saves space and is SO MUCH cheaper.
16. Favorite study snack and drink? I don't have favorites but I like drinking chocolate milk, water, or sparkling apple cider. I like to eat chocolate chip cookies, baby carrots with ranch dressing, or a candy like Jolly Ranchers or SweetTarts.
17. Crammer or pacer? Procrastinator! I wait until the last minute most of the time to do my homework.
18. Type of learner? I'm a visual learner!
19. How do you plan? I have a to-do list pad I got off of Amazon. I write all the homework assignments due for the week and then plan which day of the week I'm going to do them in my planner.
20. Do you make to-lists and stick with them? I do, and I always stick to them, but I rarely ever do the tasks on the day I assign myself to do them.
21. Preferred note-taking method? PowerPoint! I love using the Design Ideas feature to make visually pleasing notes. :)
22. Ever pulled an all-nighter? Even though I'm a procrastinator, I haven't done that yet. I have pulled an all-day-er before though, haha.
23. What do you do to recover from getting a grade lower than expected? I'm always SO sad and disappointed when I get a grade lower than I was expecting. I like to look at my grade book and see how it affected my grade. If it didn't do too much damage, and I have at least a B- in this class, I won't stress too much about it. If it makes my grade go below a C, I'll try harder on my following assignments and maybe even ask for extra credit or a revision of the assignment.
24. What are you most proud of right now? Oh gosh, please don't hate y'all, but I'm proud of my current 4.0 GPA! :)
25. Favorite ways to destress? Singing my favorite songs at the top of my lungs, watching comedies, and taking a nap.
26. Hobbies when you aren't studying? Playing video games, writing, journaling, blogging, reading, and spending time with my dog, friends, and family.
27. How often do you check Tumblr? Not that often. I created this account two weeks ago and only just now came back to it today to post some stuff, haha.
Thanks for reading!

Tip For Creating Thesis Statements in Essays
Hello everyone! I thought I would share a tip I recently learned when it comes to creating thesis statements in essays, something I used to struggle with tremendously.
Your thesis statement is going to be the answer to whatever questions your essay is asking.
For example, in my art appreciation class, I was asked to answer the question of what the artist's intentions were when creating the artwork and why it may be misunderstood today. So my thesis statement looked like this:
After viewing [insert name of artwork here], by [insert artist name here], I was determined to discover the intentions behind creating this portrait and why people from today's society may misunderstand it.
I hope you found this helpful!
