The first week of classes wasn’t as productive as I had hoped, but, you know what? It’s okay. Returning to the studying routines is sometimes hard and it’s alright.

I did blissfully nothing yesterday. Which was much needed, and it allowed me to be surprisingly productive today. It wasn’t purely studying, but also there’s other tasks in life, yep.

✔️veggies sauté cooked & dishes done

✔️ laundry done

✔️ grocery shopping done

✔️ budgeting/money counting done

✔️ lab prep for tomorrow done (1h 20min on 🌳 in total)

Did hope to complete some other hw too, but I’ll have time to do it tomorrow. Today was good. Slow and steady. One day at a time.

🎵Of Monsters and Men are dropping a new album. Am I excited? I’m hella excited. Love them.

hi hi! roach is back on the grind!!

it is still rainy season in florida (also hurricane season :( ) so our fall semesters are always pretty gloomy looking.

my fall semester started yesterday, and i am enrolled in 3 classes!

currently feeling pretty anxious. a lot is going on irl and 3 courses that are 3 credits each def feels like a lot right now. i will be using my time very wisely and will be dedicating most if not all of my free time to my studies this semester. i really want to get a 3.5 gpa so i neeeeed to be on my A game.

￫ read the first chapter of intro to soc

￫ currently waiting for my asl class to start (5:30-7:30pm erghhh so long)

Taking my driver's license written test tomorrow!! Crammed quite a bit of practice questions for it tonight I think I should pass.... if I don't well.... I'll have to keep studying.... I studied for a week and a half ish and I'm already so excited to get it over with so I really do hope I pass.....

Also unrelated but the fact that my highlighter for my to-do list matches my nail polish brings me some joy everyday— highly recommend. (ignore that my nails are overgrown)

I finished 3rd grade kanji today!!! I've been on a little streak as well I'm so pleased.... progress is made!!

I've been doing 8 kanji a day (except 10 today so I could finish 3rd grade) and it's been working so far! I'm a bit rusty with some old ones though so I really need to sit down and just review them all.... maybe I'll fight through that later today. So excited to move onto 4th grade tomorrow!

I'm also not using the N levels if anyone's wondering... I can actually speak fluently I just can't read so I'm going by the Japanese grade school systems as a child who can speak but can't read/write kanji in Japan would. In my head that makes more sense I'm not sure if it actually does but that's what I've been doing for now.

Summer to me is a lot about endings. In particular this summer will be all about endings as I wrap the past few years up, not exactly in a neat bow but it will be wrapped and I'll move forward. I'm preparing for some final exams and will continue writing my thesis. Over the summer I hope to get around to learning some algebraic number theory, I've spend the majority of the past year on algeraic geometry which has been a treat however I would like to do something else for a while. Beside that I'm enjoying the moment, I try to refrain from borrowing grief from the future. The melancholy is here, but so is the joy, both are essential to a human experience and I'm just here to be here.

bought this kanji app and oh my god has this made learning kanji so much more addicting. but also time consuming. spent an hour and a half today when I usually spend like half an hour..... but highkey this is so nice because now I can study on the go was extremely worth it and I've had this for a day
