Nice typography.
The background images look like impressionism's paintings and typography looks a bit complicated but it goes well with its background and it shows its messages 'FLOW' very well.
Two versions are both looking good but in my opinion, I prefer the left one to the right one because it has colour contrast. The right one's background image looks like there is wind so the image shows the flow through the image so it seems they match but it seems a bit rather strong wind or storm. It reminds me of Wuthering Heights.
If I were the designer I would've used a different image something like calm but also shows or represents breeze.

I like this hand drawing style and it seems like the lights is really shining!
It is a simple drawing but has its mood in it and simple drawing is harder than the complicated one since tiny mistakes can be seen.
Yellow warm lights will be good with dark blue background but if background is dark the sketch lines won’t be stands out so the lines have to be bright colour like chalk writing on the blackboard.
Can I draw like this?
How can I use this for my poster??
Will this go well with water colour style?
I don’t know…

I like watercolour style it might seem old fashioned but I think it never goes wrong regarding animated films because it reminds audiences of their childhood or happy memories .
Cherry-blossom doesn’t make it looks it is spring red sunset background with white full moon and cloud make it and it allows black silhouette standing out.
The sunset’s colour changes from dark bottom to the subtle top and it controls the poster’s mood with brushstrokes or scattered water marks.
I want to use blue range colour like this poster since my film is a mysterious one.
I want to try this mood for my film post if possible. I have to think how can I make water mark effect..

Buttercup Ridge by Phil Greenwood
I fell in love with this piece of art.
If a popsicle is wrapped by this, I would eat every day!!! I am not a big fan of sweets but this paint look lovely and sweet. It looks like a illustration for children’s book ‘Happily ever after’
Peaceful, joyful, relaxing and positive atmosphere
To me, when I look at this I feel as if I am walking in heaven or dream, sweet dream. I wish I have money to get it in my room….
I like the use of colour. I think ‘Yellow’ is always a good colour for presenting dreamy and cheerful mood so it represents childlike mind.
Soft warn tone colour sky is beautiful, who can imagine blue sky feels warm. Blue and yellow are located opposite sides of each other in the colour wheel which means they are contrary colour, however, adjusting colour tone changed everything they don’t stand out against each other, they beautifully stand out together.

Simple is the best.
This poster gives me a different point of view.
The shadows have different angles and sizes of themselves and letters which are shown from the top of them have colours and they look like pieces of dominoes. It will remind viewers of playing shadow game when they were younger. Those make it interesting and unique. The colours using in the poster is various but small and organised so it does not ruin its mood.
We need to think carefully when we want to put lots of things and ideas in a limited space. Then decide what will be remained and given up for the best result.

WAYS OF SEEING
It is simple but has impacts in it.
The model in the centre stands out against the white space which let me relax and breath. And the model is mimicking a shape at the centre of the white paper to me it seems like a window which allows me to see behind or inside of new world.
This is a way we see things. We see and except things as we are given. We need to open our eyes to seek things that are just around us and which we haven’t seen.

Those look like vintage stickers on suitcases for holiday and I am ready to go.
I like warm-tone colour, it makes me feeling comfort as if I am in my zone or my era. And the design reminds of my childhood which I used to collect pretty small things for my barbies. Match boxes became books and pretty gift boxes became desks.
I like Annie Atkins' work. I regret that I missed a film French Dispatch which she’d worked. I have to find it.

I like its mood. When people get tipsy, the lights on the street such as neon signs look like that as if eyes are blurred and dreamy. Personally, I am not a big fan of PINK. When I was younger I used to avoid PINK because I thought it is too girly I didn't hate it though. Looking at the PINK coloured stuff like T-shirts or even books made me feel weird as if I was spying on a girl. Yet while I've worked as a designer, my eyes got rid of its stereotype about PINK and for some reason I am obsessed with it recently. I need to study about PINK.
To be honest, I know nothing about music but somehow I figured out what kind of genre I like. I like funky style music.
FUNKY HOUSE is a sub-genre of house music that uses disco and funk samples, a funk-inspired bass line or a strong soul influence, combined with drum breaks that draw inspiration from 1970s and 1980s funk records. The use of disco strings are also common in the genre, although not always. Funky house uses specific techniques and a specific sound, characterised by bassline, swooshes, swirls and other synthesised sounds which give the music a bouncy tempo with around 128 BPM. The genre is commercially popular, with record labels such as Defected Records, Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, and Fierce Angel all releasing compilation albums dedicated to the genre.

A guy is going somewhere.
Yellow vs Purple is one of my favourite colour contrasts but I also like the use of sub-colours; white and orange at the background. The colour and angle make the guy looks confident. Position/direction of white boxes and lines at the background look like sunset to me and it helps looking active in general and emphasising the guy’s movement. The angle makes me feel as if the guy is looking down on me because I am on his way.
This looks great itself. In my humble opinion, however, I would have made the background slightly simpler if I were the creator.

It took quite time to think about the idea of images which have to show various contrast.
Since I am learning Visual Communication, I wanted to deliver some messages as well even though it does not mean anything and I like comical messages.
I still prefer hand-drawing when I need to think about ideas so I always carry a couple of pencils, an eraser and a note because it is handy for me. Once I finish the sketches, every thing goes well.

I found this picture on the Adobe Website but I didn’t know how to get this image so I did screen capture it; I'm going to add source link. I'm happy to delete the photo if asked to do so, but I'd like to talk a little bit about magazines.
Back in the early 2000s, I was studying textile and fashion design at Uni and was into photography as well. I used to go to newsagents like this in South Korea to get magazines from other countries in Europe and the USA. At that time the only resources I could get hold of were printed paper like magazines. Of course, the internet was available as well but it wasn't like it is now. Every spring and autumn, the magazines would feature the latest runway shows and every month there were new issues with fantastic photos which inspired me a lot. I had to buy them, keep them and look at them regularly. I didn't throw any of them away until years later, so you can imagine how many magazines I would have stored in my room. I knew my newsagent well so the owner would give me any outdated magazines for free. The owner couldn't sell them to anyone and they were still useful to me, so a good tip would be to get along with your newsagent!
As I can now get new inspiration from the internet any time. I collect digital images and store them in a virtual folder but I rarely check them, I just search for new images online. I did however used to check my magazine collection frequently out of habit as they were physically in sight.
For this reason, I miss the magazines because I don't remember the images that I really liked and inspired me. It seems sometimes that due to ease of accessibility with the internet, that I'm taking resources and my favourite images for granted.
