Eisheth Zenunim has many correspondences to the Sumerian Shamash and the Akkadian Utu. She also has correspondences to the Egyptian Sekhmet, Nekhbet & Wadjet Goddesses. As well as the Germanic Sól Goddess and the Thelemic Goddess Babalon. The first time we hear the name Eisheth Zenunim to my knowledge is in Jewish beliefs.

The name itself means Woman of Certain Pastimes*. Shamash is also in Jewish scriptures and is commonly viewed as meaning Servant, But looking at the words etymology it also means Sun, Sunrise, and Sunshine. So, like Lilith, she may have been adapted.

In Satanism, she is one of the Queens of Hell and the overall torturer of hell. She takes the souls of the unjust, evil, and damned people and places a curse on them to turn them into qliphoth.

¤ Qliphoth are evil people/beings turned into monstrous spirits, they turn into this because they are in an eternal state of utter torture. They are used to test necromancers and serve others. Eisheth rules over them.

She is said to rule over certian people who sell something specific and those who commit sexually related crimes by some, but after speaking with her she herself is against those things and doesn't agree with everything people associate her with.

¤ People often conflate her with Lilith as well, so keep that in mind.
