decided to post some of my transfem gaara thoughts i sent to @osumaki today

i watched an episode from the chunin exams 1) can you believe gaara grabbed the umbrella to cover from the bloody sand of the person she just SQUEEZED TO PIECES?

more my point though, in my gaara redesign she absolutely wears a niqab regularly because the moving sand she uses all the time is probably DUSTY as fuck you think her premie lungs ARENT getting pneumonia? also could be why rasa is shown with a niqab since he also uses sand jutsu (probably not a canonical reasoning, i think kishimoto put it on him for the orochimaru reveal but no one blinked an eye at the kazekage wearing one and one of gaara’s flashbacks shows rasa wearing one)

do you ever think about when gaara said each time her father sent someone to kill her she grew more and more scared of him and now think about that in context of the gaara we see in chunin exams. how she seems just "crazy killer" whatever but alongside her proving she exists via murder and making others stop existing is that fear of her father making her stop existing and that was the extent of her interaction with people who would even interact with her. AND SHE WAS TWELVE
