peter parker x stacy female reader !

no spoilers for "no way home" are in this whatsoever !! this is just a cute little series based on tasm where instead of gwen stacy, it's the reader because i think we're all a little in love with andrew as peter right about now :))

y/n stacy and peter parker had barely ever crossed paths. they knew of each other sure but they had never really spoke to one another. unbeknownst to y/n, peter had harbored feelings for her since junior year. and unbeknownst to peter, if he had ever mustered up the courage to actually ask her out, y/n probably would've said yes.

despite all of that though, and the fact that they sat by each other in nearly every class, the two of them didn't actually say a word to one another until their senior year. and that probably wouldn't have happened if peter didn't get into a fight with flash right before 5th period.

y/n had been sitting at an outdoor lunch table reading her book when the fight started. she got up when she realized what was happening. flash being regular shitty flash and bullying some kid just because he could. and then peter being the regular witty peter he always was and responding quickly to every remark flash made towards him.

it was the call out of flash's real name "eugene" that finally got him to shut up and for a second, y/n's lips curved into a smirk. it was rare anyone stood up to flash and she was impressed that peter had not only stuck up for someone she doubted he even knew, but had done so in front of the entire lunch period with no fear whatsoever. y/n watched for a second to see what quick remark flash had for that one but he says nothing as he drops the kid he had previously been torturing and move towards peter.

"shit." y/n thinks as flash begins his assault on peter. punching him several times before peter eventually falls and then kicking him in the stomach afterwards to make sure peter knows that if flash really wanted to, he could put him in the hospital.

"hey flash are we still on for after school today?" y/n asks walking up to the boy who was standing in the middle of the courtyard. with everyone watching he sure looked like he needed to be taken down a peg.

"y/n-" flash stutters already feeling the heat of embarrassment on his face.

"and i really hope you've caught up on your studying," y/n continues "because last time was... yikes." she says with a semi haunted expression.

y/n can tell by the look on his face and by the hoots and hollers from the nearby listeners that she had in fact taken the bully down a peg. not only that, but she'd also sent him the subliminal message that he wasn't the only one capable of causing a scene. she just did it much much classier.

if not for that prior altercation, peter wouldn't have tumbled into his next class late and y/n wouldn't have turned in her seat to whisper to him.

"that was kind of great what you did back there." she says with a genuine smile. when he looks up at her, his eyes meeting hers, she quickly adds "i mean it was pretty stupid but it was also kind of great."

that earns a laugh from peter as y/n adds on that he should probably go to the nurse. "you may have a concussion." and then just for good measure, "what's your name?" she asks.

"you don't know my name?" peter asks looking at her surprised. not in a cocky or arrogant way, but in a way that says "we've been in classes together for years now and you don't even know my name?"

"no, i know your name." y/n corrects, unknowingly causing peter's heart to beat a tad quicker than before. "i just want to make sure that you know your name."

"peter." peter replies finally. he nearly forgot it, not because of his fight with flash but because when he looked at y/n it was difficult for him to focus on anything really. "peter parker."

"okay good." y/n giggles "you should still go to the nurse though." she tells him before turning in her seat.

"you're y/n right?" peter asks not wanting the interaction to be over quite yet.

"yeah." y/n nods with a smile "y/n stacy." and with that, she turns around again, her ponytail swaying side to side.

for the rest of that class period, peter replayed the conversation in his head over and over again, vowing that he would not let that be the last time he spoke to y/n stacy.

coincidently, y/n spent the remainder of that period wondering why she had never noticed how brown peter's eyes were and why suddenly, she couldn't wait for the next time she caught them looking in her direction.
