Last week the music industry lost an up and coming band that would have taken the world by storm and topped the charts. Sunset Curve was a local band out of Hollywood having sold out its showcase on Saturday. Unfortunately, the band never made it to the stage. Three of its members, Luke, Alex and Reggie tragically died when they ate bad street hot dogs. It was supposed to be their biggest night, opening live at the Orpheum Theatre on the Sunset Strip. They were only 17. There was a surviving band member, Bobby, but no one has been able to track him down and talk to him about his friends dying that fateful night. The band had a demo with four songs: Now or Never, Late Last Night, Lakeside Reflection and In Your Starlight. They were a young and talented group that would have left their mark on the music scene. Rest in peace, Sunset Curve.

author's note: hi everyone!!! wow soooo....we're finally posting the first episode. we know it's been actually forever since we first started promo-ing and writing the hemlock society, and this pilot episode has been sitting in our drafts for years. the goal was to have more written by the time we posted and probably do a lot of revisions on this, but it's been so long since we've touched any of it that we figured we may as well put it out there and just see what happens. if you're still here we love you and also sorry xoxo. hope you enjoy!! <3

thinking about how chase had a protection app because his father didn't believe he'd be able to use his intelligence (AND OTHER ABILITIES) to protect himself. thinking about how spike only showed up when his siblings were being awful to chase, and not during any actual life-or-death fight. thinking about the trauma chase must have realizing that, how much he hates spike, and how the show could've approached this in a more nuanced way but alas the show was a disney sitcom

the dooley-davenports from the perspective of all the other kids at school is so insanely hilarious to me. nerdy kind of lame goofball kid at school gets a new stepdad in the form of literal billionaire tech inventor genius donald davenport and comes back to school with three homeschooled weirdos in tow. the oldest one is dumb as rocks but also insanely strong, like had a whole row of lockers fall on him and was completely fine kind of strong. middle one is trying a little too hard all the time and seems like all of her pop culture knowledge comes from high school musical and sometimes literally disappears in a blur. youngest kid is nerdy to the extreme which isn’t that crazy except that occasionally he’ll turn into a raging aggressive monster that can throw around people twice his size, and then like 20 minutes later he’ll be back to normal and not seem to remember any of it. the four of them basically only hang out with each other and don’t know how to interact with anyone else and are always up to something. also they are perpetually having extremely personal beef with the principal. and then one day it comes out that they’re actually bionic superheroes with chips implanted in their necks to give them powers and somehow this makes more sense than anything else. and they’re still just kind of losers.

collecting scientific data do people think chase has neat or messy handwriting. neat bc he’s meticulous about everything and always likes things to be a certain way, messy bc he has too many thoughts in his brain and goes through ideas too fast for his hand to keep up with. or maybe it varies based on what he’s working on.
