gotta be honest I just fundamentally don't get the concept of hatewatching. like sure I've put a dumb movie on during a get together with friends to get silly entertainment out of it. but whenever another disney live action remake or harry potter thing or whatever comes out and I have to see posts on my dash being like "boycott it! if you REALLY have to see how bad it is at least pirate it!!" I'm always like. bitch you live like this? you watch movies you know you'll hate? you take time out of your day - and you have a limited number of days on this earth - to watch a movie you'll hate, when there are so many great movies in the world that you could love? I'll never understand it.

TBH maybe more people would rp with real humans instead of chatbots if we sat them down and taught everyone proper roleplay etiquette

ppl are always writing characters doing dumb shit like roasting a fresh-caught rabbit over an open flame instead of making a stew with that thing. great now you’re letting all the fat drip down into the fire as it cooks, wasting calories and flavor as well as causing the flame to flare up = inconsistent heat source,… when you could be maximizing the nutritional value of small game by making a soup or stew. Come on

I hate the sound of babies crying, but I can't hate a baby. They've been here for like five minutes and approach this situation with an unhesitant attitude of "my needs are unmet and I am going to make it everybody's problem", and I respect that.

an educator (me) needs your help (your loose change)
hi friends! i work in the education field and need to buy some last minute supplies for a summer program and they will cost me a bit over $45 and i don't get paid for another week. I'm needing a metric fuckton of colored pencils, some paper bug making kits, laminating sheets, and brass connectors. at camp, the kids are learning about pollinators and bugs, where their food comes from, how to farm, how to eat healthy, reducing food waste, even a bit about mutual aid and how to help your hungry neighbors! it's an education culinary/science camp and it's amazzzinnnggg. it's a very little amount, but I work 80+ hours for a $500 paycheck and i unfortunately can't swing those supplies by myself. so if you feel like helping out, you can donate via my ko-fi, by purchasing my psd megapack or a carrd @elv1raes!

I dont know how White fandom ppl will watch a movie or series with like a 99% nonwhite cast & a plot focusing on them & their culture, but instead will hyperfocus on the one or two White characters (often ones that are there specifically to be the villians and are racist) that are there and then not think that that's weird

one really draining thing to deal with while still more benign than so many other kinds of sexism is just the default assumption that girls don't care about things as passionately as boys do. it can be any niche interest and the assumption is that girls aren't capable of the same depth or strength of focus that boys are. being really into a specific niche is a "boy thing". and i get that maybe men are more able to fund or indulge in a specific hobby. but how often is that because women are actively shamed for it, or expected to be more accepting and versatile. it's so tiring to know no matter how much i know about something or how much time i sank into something most people will assume a boy cares about it more. and especially so when it's something you've been actively discouraged to talk about while boys are humored.
