If your anti-imperialism doesn't include solidarity with the people of Ukraine against Russian imperial aggression, if it doesn't involve standing up for Ukrainians as victims of imperial genocide, then your anti-imperialism is bullshit. I'm so sick as a person of Eastern European descent of seeing supposed "leftist" Americans and Western Europeans, including POC, be dismissive of Ukraine, because they just feel uncomfortable about being on the same side as "liberals" or NATO or whatever. Would you feel the same way about someone saying that about a genocide in another part of the world? Or is your "anti imperialism" based on simplistic American racial categories? I don't get the convenience of abstracting away from what's happening there. I'm Polish-American; Russian imperialism is a part of my own family history, it's the reason for the second half of that label. If you can call out how white Americans and Europeans dehumanize Africans and Asians who are victims of colonial violence, you should be able to recognize why responding with "well, idk, but liberals and NATO and optics" to the genocide happening in Ukraine right now is you doing the same thing to Eastern Europeans. And it means you're not "decolonizing" anything, when you're not only reifying Western ideas about race and imposing them on the entire world, but you're specifically denying the humanity of and leaving behind an imperialized people undergoing a genocide. If you actually care about stopping imperialism, 1. that means everywhere, 2. it means more to you than optics, and you can get over whatever squeamishness about how you share the right side of history with some people you dislike.

знаєте я ніколи не хотів заперечувати хвороби/розлади але знаєте як усвідомити що через одну людину в будь-якій соцмережі жаліються на сдуг я типу не маю нічого проти але з того як люди це пояснюють я думаю може це не сдуг а відсутність мотивації? це теж неприємно але це наче інша річ, ні? не хочу звучати токсично. якщо я неправий буду вдячний якщо мені хтось пояснить
