i personally like indie sewing patterns but they are inarguably spendier. reddit comments in r/sewing also had a lot to say about poor quality control in indie patterns. i think this can be helped by applying my favorite quality control check: investigating what the mean, mean users of r/craftsnark have to say about any given pattern or designer
#damn#well at least one of the indie pattern designers I get stuff from was a professional designer in a past life#there’s a lot of people who sell patterns who are completely self taught though
