            after placing the leftovers in the microwave, she leans onto the counter to continue speaking with him. 

              “ awww, you waited on me!   how sweet! ” 

             really, could she say one sentence without trying to tease him? absolutely not!  hearing the ding, she grabs her food and almost immediately takes a big bite. ahh, homemade food was just the best! 

                “ well, i’m going to go shopping with you, of course!  clearly, you missed me! ” – and she missed him – “ i gotta go with you! ”

     ❛ I wasn’t waiting specifically for your sake or anything. It would just be more convenient once I knew you were home ⁠— ❜ He was definitely worried for her but admitting that would bring about even more reasons to tease him so it was better like this.  

     ❛ Yeesh, cut it out with that. I didn’t miss you at all and that’s that. You mentioned that you wanted to run some errands this weekend, right ? It’s better to get it out of the way together. I’ll wait for you to finish though ... so, how is it ? Better than last time right ? ���

                     overdramatic, as always.  she yawned a bit, realizing she didn’t actually get much sleep the night before. with a pout, she leans on him, resting her head on his shoulder. this was nice, safe… she could just fall asleep just like this with him right beside her– oh. right. food– she should do that. 

                “ hmmm, no i haven’t.  your food will be just the thing to fill my empty stomach! ”  

                          after a beat, she hops up, making her way to the kitchen. 

                  “ soooo, what are your plans today? ”

      ❛ OUR souls are connected ?  What kind of nonsense are you spewing. It’s not like we’re telepathic or anything but I guess my gut instinct is something you rely on. ❜ As silly as that thought was, it was certainly romantic in some ways. Well, not that he would know anything about it. 

      He set down his coffee mug on the table and watched as she skipped on over to the kitchen. ❛ ... I was going to do some shopping today. I figured I’d wait for you to come home before I did that. What about you ? It seemed like you had a long night. ❜

                       placing her bag on the table, she walks over to plop right next to him on the couch.  a friend’s place wasn’t entirely correct, but it’s not something she would want to admit to him… especially not to him.  with a smirk, she gives his arm a little poke.

                   “ did you miss me?  was the apartment just too quiet without me? ”

      ❛ I swear one of these days you’re going to make me think that you’ve been kidnapped or something. Text me next time so I don’t end up making too much food. ❜ He flickered his gaze over to the bag she set on the table. Come to think of it, who exactly was she with last night ... ? No, it wasn’t any of his business. It wasn’t like he was her boyfriend or anything so he had no right to meddle but still ... it bothered him a bit.

      That aside, she certainly wasted no time in getting back into her usual teasing routine. ❛ And what gave you that idea ? Just when I finally managed to have some peace and quiet ... More importantly, did you eat yet ? I have some leftover curry in the fridge so take it. ❜
