Saudade

Wandering the streets that are tarnished by everything that went wrong is so solitaire now. I look for you everywhere. And knowing you're in another town doesn't lower my expectations to stumble on you at any moment.

That boy in the park looked a lot like you, and I confess my heart sank when I saw him holding a girl's hand. But it wasn't you.

Where are you? I search for you, but I can't find you.

Luckily I found a hidden place on the beach we went and cried looking at the sea. I tried to capture as much as I could with my eyes, just to remember you forever.

Falling Again

My heart is sinking in the deepness of my body, and you're not here to stop it from falling.

All the places in this city are hunted, I see your shadow everywhere we've been. It hunts me, it follows me, it suffocates me.

My sunshine is gone and a deep winter dares to push me down again. All the flowers died and now are drowned by the rain.

I'm lying on a bed of glass in the middle of a forest hearing the sound of wild animals approaching me, I'm paralysed with the pointy chucks of glasses sewing my skin against the old sheets I haven't changed for two weeks since you went away.

Movie Theater

I imagine my life as a bad movie section I can't get out of.

The light of the silver screen is shining right on my face blinding my eyes from any real ocurrences.

I'm being led through false hopes and dreams that never seem to concrete themselves.

And as I wait for the credits that never come, I wonder why the characters just like me always come undone.

Moon 🌝

Even in the darkest night, the moon dares to reflect light just like a mirrorball.

It's not afraid to be seen or judged by the way it shines.

It's not willing to surrender to those who are too afraid to go out in the dark.

It just hangs in the sky and leads those who need a path to follow.

Those who are lost.

Confused.

Empty.

But even in the dark, want to start something new.

Wild Bird

I wanna be free as a bird who has never been captured.

Who only knows the delight of the sun and the sea.

who likes to sit on rocks by the stream.

Who flies around and it's not afraid to be seen.

I wanna feel the breeze on my feathers reminding me that I'm alive at any minute.

I wanna be free to explore every tree in the forest even though I know some predators might be lurking.

I wanna move forward and never look back

Always reaching for the sun and nothing less.

I wanna hide myself from the rain under the leaves and feel afraid.

I wanna look at the city lights and wonder if I'll ever be safe.

But even being afraid I'll feel free cause after all being outside it's my choice even if I fall flat on my face.
