i’ve loved books and pencils and the smell of stationery since before i could afford any of it. i know what it felt like to trace the edge of a gel pen cap. to read a library book with cracked spines.

drawing, writing — i’m not the best. but i don’t care. i’ve lived through enough kitchen-floor lectures from my mother about pencil shavings and snapped pencils to have earned the right to say i love it anyway.

where dove flew,

i was born in syria (on a farm in a small village), then lived in lebanon for a bit, and moved to australia when i was four. those places never really left me. syria and lebanon still live in me, so do the sound of family voices in the distance. family. grief. the corner stores. the stories told through cracked phone calls and old photos.

ethnically, i’m half armenian and half assyrian, but i usually just say armenian because it’s simpler. i don’t speak armenian, wish i did! but i do speak english, arabic and one dialect of aramaic (not that good at aramaic though!)

and oh, olive oil. middle eastern olive oil has me every time. i used to just drink it straight, slurping that thick, peppery gold. nothing else tastes like home quite like that <33 oh how i love and miss my middle eastern home

These are technically redesigns but do I care? No

Their group is named Soul♡Cure! and um yeah I'll explain more under the cut

So basically, Soul♡Cure! (Imma just call it SC) is a girls idol group with Aiko, Honoka, Madoka, and Shiori. The group is known for their upbeat songs and the even more upbeat personalities of the four leading ladies. Though, the four girls are very different outside of their cute personas they have on stage.

Aiko (she/her, 17 yrs)

Aiko's persona is a very optimistic and lovey-dovey girl who's a bit of a hopeless romantic. She is the only girl who (somewhat) stays the same on and off the stage. Aiko in real life is still very optimistic, but is kind of a pushover and a BIG people-pleaser. She constantly gets ridiculed by staff and even by her own parents and because of this Aiko tends to stay away from drama among her group and sticks to herself a lot off-stage.

Honoka (she/her, 19 yrs)

Honoka's persona is a very determined and spunky girl, but in real life, Honoka is a HUGE bitch. She constantly bullies Aiko and doesn't even like her job. She dislikes her fans and sometimes doesn't even show up to special SC events. She usually spends her days studying to become a lawyer or just hangs out in cat cafés.

Madoka (she/they, 18 yrs)

Madoka's persona is a tsundere girl with a feisty personality, but off-stage, she is very uninterested about most things. She minds her own business and rarely talks with her peers, only interacting with them at work. Madoka usually hangs out alone, and she prefers to, as she mostly spends her free time reading dark fantasy novels.

Shiori (she/her, 18 yrs)

Shiori's persona is a very shy girl who gets flustered easily. Shiori off-stage is pretty outgoing and not afraid to speak her opinion. She likes to shop and has a lot of knowledge of fashion and beauty. She even has her own perfume company paid for by her father.
