One of the gifts contained a set of hair ties, shaped like sakura blossom flowers. "Since you tie your hair up, and they look really pretty, I thought you might like this? If you ever want to change up the hair ties you use sometimes... !"

And once the second gift box was unwrapped, it would reveal a small golden lucky cat statue. "It's so cute, I just had to get it for you, hehehe... that, and so you can be blessed with good luck and happiness, since Ana-chan always deserves both!" He giggles, giving her a brighter smile.

"Really though, I hope I could make you happy with some nice gifts, Ana-chan... and to help make your Christmas even better... !" And if Ana would be comfortable with receiving it, would give her head a few very soft pats, too. ( made it pre-established if that's okay~! so that he knows her well enough to give her some gifts!! and Merry Christmas! 🎄🌸 )

The little one gasped, "For me? Thank you Saihara-cha! I got you a prezzy too!"

In return for the two gift boxes, Ana gives Shuichi a clumsily wrapped lumpy package with a flat bottom. Inside, he would find some pens from random businesses, a few tiny plastic toy magnifying glasses, a card plastered with snowflakes and flowers made of construction paper, and a new pocket notebook that has a scribbly drawing of his hat taped onto the cover.

The card reads in scrawled crayon writing:

She would get to opening her presents rather gently, though the contents would be held up with vigor and sparkly eyes,

900 Follow Forever~

Alright~ So I should really have finished writing this long ago. But I’m glad to have gotten 900 of you wonderful people following! With that being said, I’ve got a big plan that won’t be a follow forever at 1,000, so this should tie me over until then. You’ll have to wait and see!

 In the meantime, for this follow forever, I’m gonna drop some compliments for some special people. My focus this time is on character and portrayals and giving compliments there rather than focusing on out of character relations. Because everybody needs compliments and validation on their writing every once in a while, right? These are, of course, in no particular order!

@ultimatetalentless: The way you play your dork is always amusing. There’s rarely a thread that I’ve seen of yours that felt even remotely out of character. Slightly too salty sometimes, I’ll admit, but it’s still so in character and realistic to the salthoge boy that I’m always amused to read your threads. Personally, I laugh every time he doesn’t play towards Leon’s egotism but they’re still best buds. It’s grounding and I laugh every time, I swear.

@detecaive: A wonderful Dweebhara. Despite getting off on a rocky start, somehow Leon and Saihara’s interactions have been grounding and realistic and I appreciate that. On top of that, your boy himself is realistic and the mindset you convey through your posts seems to fit his character quite nicely. I love reading ya stuff on my dash too <3

@bloodsplatteredmoon: An amazing doggo boy. You can write him in such a wide variety of situations, and I’ve personally been so glad to write with you all this time. I laugh at all the video game references, but what really impresses me is your tone and thought process for him, as even in the ‘meme-y’ replies, his voice is still super accurate and that’s an amazing feat to pull off. They’ve all got their voices down quite well and even Teddie and Yosuke’s quirks are very noticeable and awesome. You deserve some praise yo. It ain’t easy to write multiple muses at once with the same amount of IC-ness as ya do.

@axesona: Awesome portrayals from what I’ve seen. Ya get their thought processes down fairly well and I’ve got no regrets in RPin’ with ya. All of the muses across your blogs are well written and you should be commended for writing them all so well. <3

Ok, so here’s a recap of my first impressions about the V3 cast:

- Akamatsu and Saihara, for now, aren’t leaving me much to think about;

- Kiibo is in the middle of being adorable but also a bit irritating (I mean, I know that the robophobia thing is supposed to be a gag but... he gives me SJW vibes and I have mixed feelings about it, to be honest, but we’ll see lol);

- I like Ouma’s trolling demeanor but for now, I can’t take him that seriously for some reason;

- Shirogane seems cool;

- Harukawa seems... a bit redundant as a character, her behavior is too similar to Kirigiri’s in DR but I hoped to see something different, we’ll see;

- Hoshi gives me angst vibes and I like his adult-like manners, I’m looking forward to his story (I barely remember the spoilers I read so I wonder how I’ll react to it);

- Amami: I’m aware of his backstory and I did find myself feeling very touched by it so I’ll keep a careful eye on him, I like how resourceful and cunning he seems to be as well;

- Chabashira seems a comedic relief character which isn’t bad per se but the airhead girl trope is too overused and unoriginal in my opinion granted, I don’t exclude the possibility to change idea eventually;

- Yumeno’s sleepy attitude got me sleepy too lol;

- Iruma seems cool! She set her priorities right! She looks for manga to read, food to eat and drugs to sleep, she seems hilarious! I wonder if her perverted antics will annoy me or not...;

- Shinguji is... I’m neutral on his character for now. The Crazy Guy Loves Humanity + Edgy Creepy Appearance combination don't really appeal to me to be honest... I expect him to make me cringe hard in the trials lol;

- Gonta is really tender :3;

- Momota is the typical Big Bro character and he seems straightforward, which are usually two characteristics I do personally appreciate about a fictional character, let’s see if his manliness thing will bother me or not;

- Kirumi... I don’t know... I like the “dignified” vibe she gives but I’m afraid she’ll turn out to be a cheap Pekoyama copy-paste, I hope I’m wrong;

- Yonaga: religion-obsessed characters for me are a huge NOPE so...;

I LOVE OUMAMI! Is it true that Ouma called Amami 'big bro' or something in the anthology once?? I think I saw that somewhere?? Because if so I'd love to see them having like a Koizumi-Saionji relationship at first that slowly develops into romance aaa!

To answer your question, yes! In the first anthology (there are two) there’s a short story where Kaede and Shuichi are looking for Ouma because he’s pulling (innocent) pranks to all his classmates (scribbling on Kaito’s face while he’s asleep, pouring salt on Korekiyo’s head, painting Tsumugi’s glasses black, etc), so Kaito joins them to catch him for once so he stops causing mischief. Once Saihara finds him Ouma starts running from them and Kaito tells the other two that he set an Amami-trap:

…In order to catch Ouma.

However…

It takes Ouma to make this cutesy face and call him “big bro” for Amami to have his big brother heart go all doki doki and let him go (and Kaito yelling at him for it)

Also yeah, I agree! I always thought they make a good Mahiyoko parallel! Both Ouma and Saionji have the innocent looks and use them to get away with the things they do, while Koizumi and Amami are the mature big sibling-type. I think Amami would see Ouma as a little brother he feels the need to protect and take care of in spite of his attitudes and the things he does, and Ouma would grow to like him a lot and take advantage of him as you see in this story. I think Amami, instead of judging Ouma, would try a lot of times to talk to him, understand him, have empathy (like Mahiru did with Hiyoko. She was the one who offered to help her with her kimono when everyone was bullying her back) and try to look past his lies.

In fact, there’s an interesting story in the second anthology where Amami acts all big brotherly with Yumeno (because she reminds him of his little sisters) and there’s a small Oumami moment where Ouma gives him info about Yumeno’s where abouts (Yumeno was hiding from Amami to test him or something, kinda hide and seek). While everyone is accusing Ouma of being a liar (again), Amami actually tries to look past that lie and use the info he gives him to find Yumeno

They would have a platonic relationship that would slowly develop into something more as you say! 

I think their relationship would have been real interesting. At least we have the anthologies to see what they would’ve been like! (Plus I actually think that while Kaede was doing her thing alone/with Saihara in chapter 1 these two might have interacted at some point. I mean, Amami is a walking mystery. Ouma loves mysteries. It’s obvious that at some point Ouma would’ve had showered him with questions and all).
