Fun fact: the training Sam went through to become pararescueman is literally called “Superman School” for how rigorous and physically demanding it is. He’s literally part of the elite in the U.S. military. Elite of the elite if you add the wings. A superman.

But yes, you're right! Sam Wilson is a certified BAMF. I read up on the pararescue training and watched some youtube videos on it a while back when I was thinking about trying my hand at fic writing (ummm...yeah, didn't get round to that lol!)

But it's SO intense. It's crazy what they have to be capable of and it's why I sooooo want Marvel to really draw on that background and those skills for Sam in the movies. Sigh. I can keep dreaming.
