A little sketchy comforting comic before I conk out for the night

Also for context, V doesn't really feel he deserves any of the good things that have happened to him. He doesn't feel worthy of any of it because he messed up really bad, and because he's still in the mindset where if he isn't directly told he does, especially by Draxum, he won't believe it.

Thankfully, though, Draxum isn't there.

Literally saw this a day or two after yapping about how V literally exists for this purpose

I love a character raised to be a weapon as much as the next guy. But what really gets me is a character raised to be a shield. Who can’t fathom being needed—or even being wanted— beyond keeping others safe. Who believe they are alive only to insure someone doesn’t die. no matter the cost. Characters who self-sacrifice not because they think they deserve it, but because no one else does deserve it, and it’s their job to protect.

Characters who’ve been told that’s why your important. Your worth something because this other person/ thing is important, and you are here solely to keep them safe.

Bonus points if it’s not a legitimate job they’ve been given. Maybe at one point it was, but now that they are free from it, they haven’t given up that mentality. No one is forcing or asking them to do this, but they need to. They need to in order to be deserving.

#Chronicles of Cassendenia #Ymihr #Esir #Kailera #Hasna #Nahlia #Satyrs #OC #CoC ref #MSPaint Draw #about 10yrs ago i made a bunch of satyrs on SoulCalibur V's CC and i've been tryna justify them being in my world for just as long #changes a bunch of names again bc i both forgot and bc i can #subject to some tweaking - Ceravos are another ethnic group of Nalur elves & take on forms within the Bovidae and Cervidae family #They have uniquely shaped their magic into controlling the degree of their shapeshifting #Which includes full animal transformation; partial shifting to satyr like appearance;#and in rare individuals the ability to morph outside the characteristics of their animal form (ie Ymihr taking on fangs and claws)#Pushing their magic in this way can cause more erratic and reckless behaviour however #(which is just me sneaking more beserkers into my world)

It's so painful seeing people say DR has the best animation in the show's history... girl this show has some CLUNKY animation I know VISUALLY the 11-minute era was by no means perfect but the actual movements were so fluid and didn't throw the camera to all angles of the screen every single second this show is too focused on camera movements for fluidity as opposed to character movements 😭😭😭 IDC what you say about 11-min era, that was OBJECTIVELY the peak of the show's animation.

Owl House is a surprisingly dark show but still very much kid appropriate. I think the themes about grief and self harm as well as like. exploring topics like ableism, religion, death, and abuse is really neat.

I do think it'll be funny in five to ten years when people who were lil while watching the show revisit it later and are like WHat the fuck did I watch about certain things tho, because I really didn't pick up on the Vibes with Terra and Raine or like some of the nuances and I was already 19 when the show started coming out HAUIH.

#it's hard to define but I didn't catch the grooming/consent stuff with Raine at ALL until after the show was over/during rewatches #i think it's really cool 2 tackle difficult subjects on a kids show espec like with child abuse like they did altho it's v fictionalized ob #and there's only so much they're gonna do on a show on Disney Channel obvi #the owl house #thinking about it bc I had an idea for some art to do in my free time
