I was just wondering why Will decided to tell Mike and everyone about the Mind Flayer being back after the rain fight. You would think that Will would keep it a secret for longer because of trust being broken, but it produced the opposite result.

I think Will was trying to divert their focus. Will doesn’t like when people worry about him or baby him and he knew that Mike and Lucas were going to do exactly that after their fight. He doesn’t want people to treat him differently. Even though the monster being back would make them dote after Will more, I think Will was less embarrassed about that than the fight. The MF is something out of his control, while the fight was a result of his own behavior. He was embarrassed because of his vulnerability and wanted them to just forget about it instead of work it out. Informing them about the MF was the perfect way for him to get out of a place of emotional vulnerability that their apologies would block him into.

This is very evident when Lucas tries to apologize the next day. Will changes topic back to the MF and brushes it off, pretending that he doesn’t care even though it’s clear that he still does. Will carries that fight with him all throughout s4, so it’s not like he just got over it. Will doesn’t like being vulnerable and this is likely a result of people bullying him for being sensitive. If he shows his sensitivity, he feels like he’s fitting into the box everyone expects of him.

Man I feel people don't ever talk enough about the combination of having DID and all the disorder package that comes with that AND being the "high functioning" and """mentally stable""" and "least disabled" party in a partnership due to the specific circumstances and ways your system adapted to it's environment makes you unable to not be "high functioning"

Cause even if on every principle in Western capitalistic society you are still stellar and amazing and doing great, you still have a high need for support but never get the space or sympathy or patience others get cause you not only look At Average among not-disabled people, but arguably look better than The Average

this is my fault for being on reddit but everyone there seems convinced dominick is the most racist portrayal of a black person of all time and I /gen do not understand why (it is supposedly racist of me to not just know). I know the game as a whole lacks melanin. I know most of the characters are intended to be japanese but they’re all FFFFF pale which is not good. but whenever I try to figure out what’s racist about dominick I cannot. he doesn’t have the caricature lips kodaka loves to use. he’s the only black character in the game, and a villain, but I think hes a justified one. yuma did in fact plant bombs. id say dominick is in the right for trying to kill him, so its not like his motivations are unreasonable. Is it the fact he doesnt speak because that seems ableist to hate him over. I found him to be a fun character who didnt need to speak to have interesting gimmicks. and he bounced off guilame really well too. is there like a deleted scene where he swears allegieance to the confederacy or what could I be missing

Umbrillic Label

An Umbrellic Label is a label you use, typically in an introduction maybe, to placehold some other, more complicated label.

This could be because you don't think the people around you will understand, because you don't think they care and you just want to simple, because the ins and outs of your identity aren't other people's business, you havent found the word that describes you yet, or for whatever other reason you feel the need to put your identity in an umbrella. This label clarifies that the term you are giving is more of a general umbrella that holds your more specific identity and not your identity exactly

For example, If you were transmasculine but didn't identify as a trans male and had a xenogender you identified instead, and you were only attracted to masculine identifying people regardless of what their identity was, you might know the specific, specific word for that.

But I don't. And even if I did, other people might not know

I just identify myself as a gay transguy, that umbrella works for me in this moment, but it would be nice to have a little caveat that says "this identity isn't exact. I use this as an umbrella that I fall under"

So now I'll identify myself as an umbrillic gay transguy. And you can be more specific than just that while still using the label. If use extremely specific labels but they're still "placeholding" your label, you use it.

"Elegui" is a pretty specific term that describes someone whose gender is related to the sound of an electric guitar. We have a member whose gender relates to. Electric guitar. But we haven't found that yet, so when he introduces himself, he almost always says "elegui (well not really but we haven't found anything better" now he could say umbrillic elegui.
