hello yinyuedijun blog citizens ♥️ chinese new year (and the one-year anniversary of this blog!) is coming up and I wanted to play a little ask game to show my appreciation of you all!

to play, send me an ask with the following information:

So far I have Bethany, Fenris, and Varric in my party. Fenris hit me like a truck. Hello pretty white-haired elf boy.

Playing as a rogue <3 as I did in dao. I love daggers but they suck ass in most souls games so this is refreshing. I’m playing Hawke the same way I did my Warden because I’m unoriginal.

Currently doing Anders quest. Corny ass character (oooooo my eyes glow blue and like im part spirit of justice im so much better than you ooooooo. (The glowing is only cool when Fenris does it.)) but I like him and I kinda need a healer lol

another update on how co-op job seeking is going because nothing seems to be going right ever with this! (it has been almost a year)

got an email today from one of the coordinators. i have a couple of friends in the exact same program as me and we all agreed months ago that there was just. not much. like i can usually find 2-3 good positions per semester and this isn't to say that the rest are bad. just that we're not who they're looking for. our program isn't occupational health and safety, so that's usually out since i would expect that to have WAY different requirements from health sciences (my program is structured in a way that it's kinda sorta a pre-med program, btw. i could probably apply but without knowing what an occupational health and safety program teaches, it doesn't sit right with me).

edit: i have since looked into the courses that someone would take for an occupational health and safety program and it is nothing like what i am taking besides a few core courses, so i definitely am the wrong person to apply to those jobs. i think the algorithm just latches onto the word "health" and goes "is for you" but is not. is not for me.

so there's not much and it's a problem. they've never really known what to do with us really since we're kind of the first life sciences students to be in the program and it's a very different vibe to like. business or IT or engineering.

the coordinator's message felt very passive-aggressive? she told us to "just google search it" and "see what i got with one google search?" and she sent a bunch of postings, all without functional links (aside from maybe one), so i had to go search all of them myself. most of them just straight up didn't exist. some of them existed but weren't applicable to my program. a few of them i just couldn't do personally because i only have my learner's and don't drive. using the exact same google search she did got me completely different results. i don't think they know what my program even entails if they think we can just do anything with "health" in the title.
