at long last, what the soreike! anpanman mogai community has been looking for: kulun themed names, pronouns, and genders
NAMES:
Aster: An English, Greek, and Amharic unisex name meaning "star". This name symbolizes Kulun's origins from beyond the stars, as one of the stars of light from the same source that granted Anpanman his power.
Leo: A Latin unisex name meaning "lion". This is more from her appearance, but Kulun's star shaped head resembles a lion. Leo is also a constellation in the stars, so that could add to a good double meaning.
Etana: A Hebrew girl's name meaning "strength of purpose". This symbolizes Kulun's desire for a purpose, and, once she finds one, the strength in her purpose that she has.
Claresta: A French girl's name that is the French form of Clara meaning "bright and clear". This is a good name for Kulun kins, as Kulun is a rather bright, glowy character, both personality wise and appearance wise.
Amory: A German unisex name meaning "industrious". This symbolizes Kulun's helpful nature and desire to be of service to others.
Yara: An Arabic girl's name meaning "friend" or "helper". This symbolizes Kulun's desire for friendship, and her desire to help others once Anpanman helps her discover her purpose.
Kemuel: A Hebrew boy's name meaning "helper of God". This symbolizes both her angelic appearance, having literally come from beyond the heavens, and her nature as someone who helps Anpanman, who is seen as a Godlike or Christlike figure within most Anpanman media.
Avni: A Hebrew and Albanian boy's name with unisex potential that means "God is my strength" in Hebrew and "helper" in Albanian. The first meaning can symbolize how Kulun finds her strength in Anpanman, who again is seen as a Godlike or Christlike figure in most Anpanman media, and the second meaning symbolizes her desire to help others and be of service to people.
Phoebe: A Greek girl's name meaning "radiant, shining one". This represents Kulun both literally and figuratively; as a star and the personification of a Star of Light, she is, quite literally, shining, and as a person, she's a bright, shining beacon of hope almost as kind and hopeful as Anpanman himself.
Galen: A Greek unisex name meaning "calm" or "healer". This is a rather choice name for Kulun kins, as "calm" represents the feelings she brings both to Baikinman, Dokeen, and Horror with her natural calmness, kindness, and compassion, and "healer" represents her purpose as the one to "heal" the stars of light from Baikinman polluting them with bacteria because he decided to throw away his garbage into space (it's a LONG story).
PRONOUNS:
She/her/hers/herself, They/them/theirs/themself, He/him/his/himself, It/its/its/itself, A/stra/stras/straself, A/ster/sters/sterself, Star/star/stars/starself, Con/stell/stells/conself, Con/stell/stells/stellself, Con/stell/stells/stellaself, Stell/stella/stellas/stellaself, Glim/mer/mers/glimself, glim/mer/mers/merself, lu/mi/eres/ereself, lu/ci/oles/lucioleself, Li/licht/lichts/lichtself, Li/light/lights/lightself, Li/ligh/lights/lightself
GENDERS:
Aesigender: a stylish, trendy gender.
Alienmav: a gender that is an interpretation of maverique from a nonhuman perspective. May or may not like to fit into or adopt maverique, but in a sort of “alien trying out a foreign species’ gender” way.
Aloriune: a gender related to being kindness in its truest and purest form, like being a true personification of kindness.
Anonbinary: a gender that definitely isn’t binary, but is still even outside of nonbinary.
Aporagender: a gender separate from man/boy, woman/girl, and anything in between while still having a gendered feeling.
Astralgender: a gender that feels connected to space.
Caelgender: a gender which shares qualities of outer space or has the aesthetics of outer space, stars, nebulae, etc.
Egogender: a gender identity that feels unique to the person who is experiencing it, based on their own identity as a person. Can be defined as being “me-gender”, a gender identity that is intensely personal and belongs solely to that person.
Enbystella: a gender connected to being a nonbinary star spirit.
Feylumen: a gender that is soft, ethereal, light, and a lumen.
Feyxip: a gender that is soft, ethereal, light, and a xip.
Glimragender: a faintly shining, wavering gender.
Lumenoir: an umbrella gender centered around golden light and positivity. It’s deeply positive, and can be connected to things that shine, like the stars, the sun, or glitter, compassion, and kindness.
Lumenoirless: a gender that is both lumenoir and genderless/agender; experiencing both noirinity and genderlessness/agenderness; being lumenoir in a genderless/agender way or agender/genderless in a noirine way.
Stargeareve: a mechaneve gender connected to spaceships/starships, being a mechanic, speckled paint, the words “star wonder” and “starsick”, gaudy electric signs, shooting stars, gemstones, the sound of turning gears, crash landings, stardust, the colors brink pink and brown sugar, and the dizzy, shooting star, and comet emojis.
Yellochrecoloric: a gender related to yellow shades of ochre.

Rating: 1/5
Book Blurb:
Set in a foreboding Gothic mansion and infused with the heightened paranoia and creeping horror of novels like Catherine House and Crimson Peak, a spine-chilling debut historical thriller from a fresh voice in the genre that will leave you questioning who, or what, you can trust . . . including your own sanity.
England, 1840. Orabella Mumthrope spies an unexpected visitor in her uncle’s parlor. Scruffy in appearance yet claiming to be the scion of a fabulously wealthy family, Elias Blakersby declares a deep desire to make Orabella his wife. The orphaned daughter of a white man and a Black woman—an outsider with no fortune or connections—Orabella never expected to marry. But her uncle has many debts, and Orabella, curious about the seeming devotion Elias bestows upon her, agrees.
The new bride is quickly whisked away to Korringhill Manor, the Blakersby family estate, and far from everything she knows. Expecting splendor, Orabella is shocked to find decay, skittish servants, and curt elders. But her kind new husband’s loving touch, promises of a happy life together, and his assurances she’ll never want for anything soothe her concerns.
Yet there is a darkness deep within this house. Rooms are locked or hidden away, and the walls seem to thrum with secrets. Orabella can never venture outside unattended; she spends her days having tea with a catatonic sister-in-law and evenings at Elias’s side, dutifully hosting lavish dinners. The darkness soon begins to engulf her, too. Becoming dizzy and drowsy after dinner, she falls into a fitful sleep filled with macabre dreams, and is awakened by blood-curdling screams in the night. In the morning she rises from her bed covered in mysterious bruises. Confused and terrified, she begins to question where her dreams end and reality begins. The longer Orabella stays in this place, the more she loses parts of herself . . . how long until she no longer exists?
Midnight Rooms is a sweeping saga with supernatural undertones set in Victorian England. Vibrating with tension, richly atmospheric—haunted by ghosts, guilt, and familial bonds—it is an electrifying story that will linger in your dreams.
Review:
A new bride, a strange house, and a husband that is hiding something much darker about himself and his family...Orabella us a poor girl living with her aunt and uncle is suddenly proposed to by Elias, a man from an extremely wealthy family. Orabella is the daughter of a white man and a black woman, someone with no fortune or connections. She never expected to marry... but with her uncle's debts she is thrust into the marriage mart. Orabella finds herself drawn to Elias's strange devotion to her, his want of her. Yet when she is brought to Korringhill Manor, everything begins to crumble around her. The manor might have splendor... but there is decay all about it. it also does not help that Elias's strange family resides there as well. Orabella begins to notice just how strange everything is around her, from her door being locked at night, her never being allowed to be alone, the off hand comments, the wine that drugs her... and her seeing foxes and death at every turn. Then there is the strange relationship between Elias and his beautiful sister Claresta.... and Orabella begins to realize that this marriage might just kill her if she doesn't find a way to escape Korringhill Manor. This book honestly just gelt like a lesser Crimson Peak. I really wanted to like it because I adore Crimson Peak, but while Crimson Peak actually had a likable protagonist and the twist was fun... in this one it just felt a bit meh. Orabella just is not likable at all, the entire time you are reading the book you just want to shake her and tell her to stop just accepting being drugged, being manhandled and just accepting all the things around her. Also the story feels kind of like a fever dream, it's never really clear and it just doesn't blend itself well enough so that you as the reader can see the distinction and feel like: oh yeah she's going through it and this is what is happening. The book feels like it drags on for a bit and honestly that ending upset me so much. Are you for real? It feels like it's still missing an entire ending chapter. Honestly you would be better off just watching Crimson Peak than reading this, at least that ends better and you dont feel like you've wasted your time. If you like gothic horror with incest, cults, and an unreliable narrator, maybe you'll have a better time with this than I did.

DANCING VILLAGE: THE CURSE BEGINS - Review
DISTRIBUTOR: Lionsgate
Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS: In an effort to alleviate her mother's ailment, a shaman advises Mila to return a mystical bracelet called the Kawaturih to the "Dancing Village," a secluded location on the easternmost tip of Java Island. Mila is accompanied on her quest by her cousin, Yuda, and his friends Jito and Arya. Upon arriving at the village, they discover that the village elder has passed away, and the new guardian, Mbah Buyut, is absent. During their wait for Buyut's return, they witness a series of strange and eerie events. One of them includes Mila being visited by Badarawuhi, an enigmatic mythical entity who governs the village. Mila is persuaded to complete her mission of returning the Kawaturih, but doing so poses a threat to the village's safety. When Mbah Buyut finally returns, she is convinced to participate in the village's ritual to choose the new "Dawuh," a cursed soul condemned to dance for the remainder of her life.
REVIEW: DANCING VILLAGE: THE CURSE BEGINS is a prequel to the 2022 movie “KKN Di Desa Penari,” which holds the distinction of being the highest-grossing Indonesian film ever made. As a noteworthy achievement, this film stands out as the first IMAX production ever created within Southeast Asia. In 2024, it will become one of only five films worldwide to be made for IMAX. The film's aesthetic appeal is undeniable, boasting a lavish color palette and visually stunning cinematography.
Lele Laila's screenplay is a standalone tale that does not require viewers to have seen the previous film, "KKN in Dancer's Village." It harmonizes family legacy, modern characters encountering an idyllic community, clashing belief systems, and magical realism, while also incorporating traditional narrative structures such as a hero's journey. The screenplay is refreshing in its portrayal of a different and unique culture, making it accessible to international viewers. The story revolves around a matriarchal society where the male characters, with the exception of the shaman, are powerless against the mystical. The dancing in the story is notably sensual without being sexual, and the interactions between Mila, her cousin, and his friends exude an innocence reminiscent of characters from classic children's literature. The plot takes several twists and turns, which are gradually explained as the story unfolds. There are survivors, and the village remains, leaving open the possibility of a return to the "Dancing Village."
The special effects were remarkably simple yet effective, reminiscent of the classic “smoke and mirrors”movie magic. One notable scene is set in a bathhouse where Badarawuhi terrorizes Mila, a terrifying atmosphere created with minimal effects. The costumes ranged from basic to vibrant and intricate, adding to the film’s overall aesthetic and mood.
Ricky Leonard, a skilled composer, combines traditional Indonesian instruments, refined movements, and a rich sound design to create a multifaceted score. The composition seamlessly complements the film's ambiance, heightening the tension and suspense in a subtle yet effective manner.
The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast. Maudy Effrosina, portraying Mila, exudes a captivating blend of innocence and determination as she navigates complex emotions amidst supernatural forces. Actress Aulia Sarah's portrayal of Badarawuhi brings to life a terrifying seductress who embodies the essence of her character's totem—snakes. Diding Boneng presents a compelling character as Mbah Buyut, the shaman. Surrounding him is an aura of intrigue, as he undergoes a transformation akin to Clark Kent's transition into Superman when called upon to take action. Claresta Taufan Kusumarina portrays Ratih, a local girl who provides lodging for Mila and her friends. Claresta infuses her character with sympathy and emotional complexity. Mila's companions, played by Jourdy Pranata, Ardit Erwandha, and M. Iqbal Sulaiman, deliver eclectic performances that are both likable and vulnerable in the face of the supernatural elements.
Indonesia's “DANCING VILLAGE: THE CURSE BEGINS" is a captivating horror thriller that stands out for its enchanting and unsettling atmosphere. Skillfully crafted with beautiful visuals, the story blends magical elements with real-world locations, impressive performances, intricate production design, and an evocative score. Director Kimo Stamboel masterfully balances the chilling horror with a touch of innocence, creating a fairy tale-like quality that sets this film apart. The mythology presented in the film is unique and compelling, leaving viewers eager to explore the first installment, "KKN Di Desa Penari," and anticipate future installments or genre films from these talented filmmakers.

Hari Kedua
Tak lama kita nonton video yang bagi saya sangat menyentuh bernama GIFT tentang Anak yang membenci Ayahnya akibat miskin dan film pendek ini memiliki quote/kutipan yang sangat bermakna bagi saya yaitu “Being rich is not how much money you have but how much you can give” yaitu Menjadi kaya bukanlah seberapa banyak uang yang kamu punya, tapi seberapa banyak yang bisa kamu berikan. Setelah kita selesai menulis surat kita tidur sekitar jam 11 malam
