usahime is a talkative gal, but when tsukki said that he wants to keep their relationship low-key, she kept their status private to respect him. due to this, the two go on dates where the locations are quite far from karasuno in case they may bump into any of tsukki's noisy (and nosy) teammates off-court. that being said, usahime makes the date very worthwhile by going to a few places that the two have common interests in.

first, they snack at a cafe to get their fill of energy for the day. tsukki notices usahime staring at his slice of strawberry shortcake so he offers her a bite every now and then. next, they go to a plush store to buy a new "child." tsukki buys her a dinosaur plush while usahime buys him a bunny plush. finally, they spend the rest of their date at a library they frequent at. this library is quite close to karasuno as the library was built for the students of miyagi prefecture. the two think it's alright to stay there as tsukishima's teammates don't take much of an interest in reading.

..until now, that is.

"t- tsukishima's with a girl--?!" hinata muttered, peeking from around the corner of the bookshelf. there the blond was with a shorter brunette, both of which were looking at books and quietly laughing to themselves. "--and a cute one too!" nishinoya gnawed at the wooden structure in utter envy. "that son of a gun!" tanaka cried out.

yamaguchi watched the scene before him stressfully massaging his temples for some sort of relief. he had texted tsukki in advance that the volleyball team would be having a tutor session in his and usahime's favorite library (he already knew that the two are dating and that they were headed here on today's date) due to midterms approaching, but apparently he was too pre-occupied to see it.

"oh, i see now! that's why he ditched today's tutor session!" sugawara interceded, "if it were me, I probably would've done the same thing."

"suga!" daichi scolded.

2. when in canon does your self insert come in? do you have a scene in mind for your entrance?

i previously answered this question and mentioned jaide's inclusion with gold but in here i can absolutely see her being relevant to the ruby/sapphire AND oras story :3 i cant say for r/s yet because i have to reread it AKSLDLKKSS BUT FOR ORAS (its still so fresh in my mind) she's definitely important to the story because zinnia is present. zinnia has done super risky things to both ruby and steven and i can totally imagine jaide having to step up and confront zinnia for bothering her family... she's a usually passive person but she crosses the line if it puts her husband and son in danger.

10. how do the other characters feel about your self insert and f/o’s relationship?

i realized i didn't mention josep.h stone when i answered this previously but i think he's quite happy to see his son finally finding a nice lady. i feel that joseph couldn't see steven as the perfect heir to his business not until he has been partnered with someone because it's like, he's fully understood and matured. and he has a son too. though i feel that joseph would want ruby to follow next in line for the de.von corp stuff but steven respects his son's hobbies and aspirations and would probably not force him to be like. the family stones yk ... if that makes sense! josep.h is polite to jaide, maybe spoils her a bit and recalls embarrassing baby steven memories AKSLFKDJKDD

when they were kids, she supported red and blue's journey to the indigo league! she wasn't entirely present in their journey but red and blue would always make trips back home to palle.t town to share their progress with her (they kinda feast on her compliments they get ego boosted fr) i don't think? she's that aware of tea.m rocket's deeds up until the gen 2 story? since ethan is associated with team ro.cket too and she actually became a trainer from there so she's willing to help!

oof yk i js realised that i kinda write my own hq content in a way where i can hear their voices in the english dub,,

this is ichika usahime (一河ウサ姫), a second-year in aoba johsai (same age as me irl!). she's in the soft tennis club and she often plays in competitions. many people wonder why she didn't apply for shiratorizawa as they are the star school of miyagi prefecture, but truth be told, she instead came to aoba johsai because she liked their uniforms (NOYA WHO⁉️).

if you couldn't already tell, i wrote her to be tsukishima's girlfriend whereas the two have a rather private relationship.

fun fact: there's a japanese myth where bunnies make mochi on the moon! usahime has bunny motifs while tsukishima has moon motifs--they're quite correlated!

when usahime graduated, she moved to europe for business school. the two broke up a few months after tsukishima himself graduated from karasuno due the fact that they both couldn't handle a long distance relationship anymore.

later on (during the timeskip, so manga spoilers ahead!), the two meet again in a large stadium. this time, tsukishima is a professional volleyball player for sendai frogs, a division 2 team in the V league, while usahime is now a young entrepreneur with a bakery of her own.

when tsukishima recognises the girl, he goes up to greet her. the two talk like how they used to and tsukishima is overwhelmed with both nostalgia and hope that maybe they could try again. his eyes soon land on her fingers--one being occupied by a beautiful princess-cut diamond ring. she's engaged.

when her given name is called out by who tsukishima assumes is her fiance, usahime briefly gives him her heartfelt thanks as she found her love in baking from his delight in strawberry shortcakes.

hi sorry to dissapoint bc it's not a hq post, but i just wanna ramble a bit about meteor garden. 🌚

first off, i wanna mention that si and shancai's relationship felt almost.. wattpad-esque. that is not a compliment.

second, GOSH i love lei and shancai's relationship so much.

from a non-biased perspective,

tw: harassment

with the amount of immature pranks si pulled on shancai, it felt a bit platonic. si even forced her for a kiss which is literally harassment,, like,, hello? i'll give him points for having good character development, but YIKES that scene genuinely made me so irritated and uncomfortable. he was very much wronged when shancai and lei kissed though, but he didn't give her much of a say in their "relationship." if he had let her spoke, he wouldn't be so "butthurt" by being "cheated on" when she never really agreed in the first place.

lei and shancai's relationship felt very pure to me. when she was being targeted by si's pranks, lei stuck by her and helped her out. he defended her in front of his childhood friends and even offered himself to be punished in place of shancai.

i will say though that lei confused shancai a lot in the relationship due to his unclear feelings for her, especially when jing came into the picture. he dragged out his first love but then realised that he found another love with shancai. of course, being the best man he is, gives her up for his best friend si. he even mentions that he wished he could've fought harder for her, WHICH MAKES MY HEART HURT!!!!

i can't forget the one of many pure scenes they had in this drama. the piano one where lei is seen playing while shancai stands outside the room door listening to him, the one with the violin, the one where he protected her from some violent people, and SOSOSOSO MUCH MORE. it's the fact that lei didn't have to change for shancai to like him BECAUSE HE!! WAS HER FIRST!! LOVE!!2!1!11!

UGHGHSDJJD i could go on and on and on. the scene on the beach in the first few episodes with lei and shancai was beautiful because of the actress' portrayal of sadness. when she was on the verge of tears, she looked like she was playing it off as if she wasn't hurt for lei.

usahime then begins to recognize him as someone she's seen before, so she asks if she knows him from somewhere. he shyly admits that he used to play volleyball with his twin brother in high school, the two known for being the best set of twins there was back in the day. she realizes that she's seen him and his team play against karasuno in the spring nationals because tsukki had privately asked her to come watch. sadly, inarizaki was eliminated quite early on.

the two sat next to each other often, promptly listening to lectures and helping each other write up their business proposal drafts. eventually, usahime fell first, osamu later fell fACE-FLAT ON THE HARD CONCRETE ROAD FOR HER. after about two years (usahime now broken up with tsukishima) of getting to know each other more, they ended up confessing at the same time in the cutest way possible: osamu made her a pouch of freshly baked cookies while usahime made him a neatly arranged bento.

they dated for a few years onward, worked hard during both their internships, graduated together, moved back to japan, and so on! atsumu was so sure he'd marry the girl sooner or later seeing as how lovestruck his younger twin was.

when osamu realised that they were both financially stable enough, he finally proposed!

so although kei tsukishima was ichika usahime's, rather, ichika miya's first love, osamu miya is her greatest love. <3

(oh, btw, usahime was also tsukishima's first love. she was one of the very few girls to catch his eye and heart. there's a theory in psychology where males have the first love theory while females have the greatest love theory.

males will have a hard time getting over the one he had his firsts with: first time holding hands with, first date with, first everything. females, on the other hand, won't see their first love as someone to miss unless they made her feel like there could've been a future: that would be their greatest love. so as tsukishima is hung up on who he wanted to be with for his future, usahime instead lives in the future he wanted to have, just that it was with another.)

right off the bat, i disliked atsumu. his personality irked me a bit, and.. his ha aai ii iiir rrr.. but i eventually grew to like him because i found this trope cute: whereas atsumu would have a lot of fans, but only pay attention to your cheers. also, may i just mention his TIMESKIP HAIR. THE SIDE SWEEP. I SCREAMED.

i started liking osamu after this one scene of him looking unintentionally cute, then when i saw his timeskip job, i thought about him cooking food for me. AAAAAAA domestic fluff >>>!! and the fact that i wanted to study culinary to become a baker furthermore had me tripping over /the/ osamu miya. i'd love it if while osamu owned a restaurant, i could own a bakery, and our shops would be close to each other. for some background, tsukishima sucks from head, shoulders, knees, to toes in regards to love. he is ROMANTICALLY DETATCHED to a fault, but usahime doesn't care. girly fell hard after their little cute-meet moment out front of aoba johsai's entrance.

usahime didn't know who he was at the time--all she remembers is being tired from an intense practice match (as i've mentioned before, she plays soft tennis competitively). she was carrying a lot of heavy equipment/items on the way back home, and a familiar duo seems to notice. tsukki and yamaguchi had just been dismissed from volleyball practice and yamaguchi was asking the taller of the two if they should go and help usahime. tsukki unwordedly went ahead and did so. yeah, he may be sarcastic and mean to his teammates, but he's definitely not heartless. at least not totally.

after tsukishima lends usahime his help, he walks off with yamaguchi. the girl didn't get the chance to ask for the handsome stranger's name, so she goes and rambles to kenma about it over the phone with the boy replying passively due to him being focused on a video game.

after losing a round, he decides to pay full attention to usahime's rambles. from the description she gave of the "handsome stranger", kenma begins to realize that she's talking about tsukishima, the blond middle-blocker from karasuno's volleyball team.

fast-forward a bit and the two are finally in a private relationship.

usahime initiated every one of their firsts as tsukishima was still learning how to be a boyfriend. though this was also her first relationship, usahime has always been a bit of a romantic as she learned how to act in love from shoujo mangas.
