my mom walked upstairs in her seal skin boots. Fjonka (my rabbit) came running to greet them (her seal skin boots). she sniffed them for a second. nuzzled them, before realizing they weren't breathing. horror dawned on her. she begun to understand she was dealing with something she couldn't comprehend. she backed off, without letting them out of her sight. she STOMPED to let them (the seal skin boots) know that she did NOT like this situation. my mom stomped back. Fjonka stomped harder, exhibiting a bravery and assertedness I had no idea she possessed. mom turned and went back down the stairs. Good job, Fjonk. You sure showed those undead vampire rabbits who's boss.

People are saying the moral of squid game was that evil rich people always win and there's no point in fighting back against capitalism, but I don't think that was what the creator was getting at.

In-ho spent all of s2&3 trying to prove to Gi-hun and himself that Gi-hun was just like him. That people are all violent, cruel and selfish at their core. That trash deserve to die. That anyone would make the same choice he did.

But Gi-hun proved him wrong. There *are* good people. Not everyone would have made the same choice In-ho did. Gi-hun chose not to ruthlessly murder helpless people to save himself. He chose to sacrifice himself for his friend's innocent baby. He chose compassion, humanity, and selflessness at the cost of his own life.

You can always choose to be good. You can always choose to help others. Even if you can't save the world and the bad guys still win in the end, you can always choose light. 'You can win but you can't break me'. That was the point. That was the message.

i just need a moment where you're standing in a line at the grocery store, and it is long, and the man in front of you leans in too close when he talks, louder than necessary, his smile all teeth and assumption. you take a polite step back, offering a tight-lipped smile that says not interested but he, naturally, doesn't take the hint.

"you've got a lovely smile," he says, voice thick with confidence. "bet you hear that all the time."

you're about to deflect— verbally, this time— when you feel a warmth settling on your lower back, calm and quiet and coiled.

the guy stiffens, goes quiet all at once, and steps back with a tight, awkward chuckle, his eyes suddenly anywhere but on you.

you turn, blinking up at him— the stranger who towers over the line, bearded and built like the kind of man that doesn't ask twice. he gives you a nod, something close to a smile and says, "come on then, love. let's get ya outta here."

you tell yourself that he's just saved you a headache. that he's just being kind. and that's why you let him pay for your groceries. that's why you let him lead you to his black defender, your bags in hand. because he's a kind stranger who stepped in and is now seeing it through.

im being so serious when i ask this, but, how has dick's characterization become so opposing to his actual character? like how in the world did this pervasive and frankly invasive depiction of him become so popular? where in the world did people get these scraps of personality that they've frankensteined together to create this fucking weirdo that shakes his ass for criminals and is the biggest attention seeker? for decades we have had pretty consistent source material that continually establishes that dick is quite serious and a leader, and also someone that cares deeply for people and has the skill set and willpower to do literally anything for them. how has this fanon characterization that's quickly becoming canon happened to him?
