It is fascinating to reap the fruits of scientific progress. Though I suppose you could say that it is not me who is benefitting from it but Jonah, since it is his body that is being changed, but I consider it a personal gain, too.

What once was possible for me only through intervention of higher (or lower) powers can be done by human hands now. The change is slow, but thorough; I've noticed some effects that I did not even consider giving to myself when I decided to change my appearance. Mine was done deliberately and consciously, I picked the parts that I did not like and changed them until they felt right; Jonah blooms into his new body naturally.

It is an honour to be allowed to participate in this change. In a way, it mirrors the impact a version of him had on me – without him, without his coercion and support, I wouldn't be. However, this metaphor has one major flaw – while I needed his intervention to make it happen, Jonah does not. He is agreeing to entertain me, but it is nothing more than that. Just as it always was.

It'd been nothing more than a simple moment of lost balance thanks to an unnoticed higher section of sidewalk, and yet-- Before the blonde realized it, he'd tripped-- somehow managing to bite an inner section of his lip while catching himself.

Now, it seemed all he could taste was that seeping flavor of iron-- Even if truly, there wasn't that much of it... And while thought should've been spared for what to do about the small amount now present on his fingers... Presently, it seemed the sight had him frozen for the moment.

Spicy fact of the evening: Technically, our bratty blonde here has only had "the goods" eaten once-- (i say technically, because the related thread has yet to wrap up) But, in terms of general blog canon-- unless proven otherwise by manga content at a later date; i stick with counting that as a new (or at least mostly) new experience for him lmao

Finding himself in an unfamiliar place, it made sense that the first thought on the Hero's mind was to explore, and gain a feel for these new surroundings… Granted, perhaps doing that in his current form wasn't the best plan… But, it did offer his senses a boost-- which was certainly welcome in the moment.

Trying his best to remain tucked out of sight beside one of the buildings near by, large paws padded along the stone beneath them. His head low as the wolf followed his nose along… What scent he was following, Link wasn't quite sure yet, but-- it had caught his attention none the less. He remained on alert, however, for any hint that someone may have spotted him.

After following this trail for a short while longer, a somewhat familiar scent caught the wolf's nose-- Someone near by had food. Looking up, he spotted a man not all too far away-- who was currently sat feeding a dog. And while he'd no intention of stealing the other canine's meal… The spark of instincts still got the better of him.

Approaching slowly, it was predictably the dog who noticed him first. [This guy has really good snacks~! Did you come to get some too~?] Link simply regarded the dog's cheerful yips with a nod of his head, and slight wag of his tail. Bright blue eyes then looked up to the raven haired man-- who was now close enough for the wolf to sniff, but Link maintained his space while doing so. Waiting to see if he'd get the chance to stay… or if it would be time to turn tail and bolt.
