Although I made this drawing months earlier, it's fitting to post it today because it's the 1-year anniversary of the Imperial Orchestra's Korol i Shut tribute show, and this is a semi-redraw of the image that inspired me to make the first drawings of Bonmucho with the eye makeup Pavel Plamenev wore for the show.

I may be a huge fan of Plamenev, but I would never be crazy to the point of mass-banning people from a subreddit over a concert.

Believe it or not, this Bonmucho drawing I made at the tail-end of January was based on a dream I had about a SiIvaGunner rip featuring an animation depicting him with the kilt you see in the above images while in concert with other PlayStation villains (Sephiroth, Xehanort, etc). Of course, it actually wasn't the only time I dreamed of a rip like this, and details about both dream rips will be under the cut.

I had the first of the 2 dreams the night before last Halloween, and it involved YouTube notifying me about SiIvaGunner uploading a rip of The Dark Infinity from Lovecraft's Untold Stories 2 (which happens to be my 2nd favorite Pavel Plamenev song).

Being a huge fan of Plamenev's music, I was curious to see what SiIva would do with it, and I was in for quite the awesome surprise.

The song itself was actually unchanged, and the REAL joke was that it was set to a 2D animation of a rock band band consisting of the aforementioned PlayStation villains (yes, with Bon as the lead singer to reference the uncanny similarities between his and Plamenev's voices) playing the song in concert for an audience of villains/enemies from all kinds of video games. Needless to say, I jammed out all the way to the end, then checked out some comments (more on that later) before waking up.

I had the 2nd dream a few hours before making the above drawings, and it started with me scrolling through SiIva's playlist of TF2 rips before coming across a Bad Pipes rip. Now keep in mind, a Bad Pipes rip already had been made many years ago, but with a different joke, as shown here (WARNING: That rip uses Scotland Forever, an earrape meme, as the joke).

I honestly didn't know what the joke was gonna be (In fact, one of my guesses was that it would be similar to the joke from the Bad Pipes rip we currently have IRL), but I was NOT expecting it to be a sequel to the Dark Infinity rip.

Like before, the joke was an animation of the PSVillains performing an unchanged Plamenev song in concert, but it's very different:

The animation style was now 3D. Most likely SFM, but it could've easily been a really good GMod animation.

While it's unknown where the Dark Infinity rip's concert was set, this rip's show was set in DeGroot Keep.

The band was now performing MacPherson's Farewell (my 3rd favorite Plamenev song).

On the topic of the band, not only was Demoman present as a guest performer on the bagpipes, but they were all wearing kilts, and the drawings are focused on what Bonmucho's kilt looked like.

Near the end (1:54 onwards in the song), Bon pulls out his own set of bagpipes for a duet with Demo. (That, no joke, made me let loose a "WHAT!?" similar to Joel's when he saw the game over screen of that one Felix the Cat game.)

The audience from the previous rip (which might I add, already had some TF2 villains) returns and is joined by the other 8 Mercs.

Just like before, I enjoyed the rip and checked out some of the comments before waking up and deciding "I gotta draw Bon in that kilt!"

Speaking of the comments, I don't exactly remember all of them, but 3 stood out, with 2 of them being from Plamenev himself that SiIva pinned and hearted:

Someone in the Bad Pipes rip's comment section joking about Sephiroth trading shades for a kilt because he wore sunglasses in the Dark Infinity rip. And speaking of...

The Dark Infinity rip's pinned comment was Plamenev joking about being a ghost for Halloween due to Bonmucho's appearance and the fact that the rip was uploaded during the Spooky Season.

Going back to the Bad Pipes/MacPherson's Farewell rip, its pinned comment just said "Bloody brilliant!" because of the rip's heavy Scottish theming (IDK if Plamenev knew, but it's actually something Demoman can say either as a positive voice command or when capturing a control point).

But yeah, this drawing was based on some dream SiIvaGunner rips that I really wish were real, considering both the concept of the jokes and the fact that they use animations made for the rips that weren't stylistic-suck.

Also, this actually isn't my first time drawing something based on a LocoRoco-related dream I had in the past, as I had previously made a Magma drawing depicting a massive Bonmucho plushie from an entire story arc of dreams where I won the plushie in a contest, then livestreamed myself playing a LocoRoco 2 beta (I'm currently stuck on the Majoline boss fight, btw), and a mockup of some costumes from a TF2 event I dreamed of at the beginning of last year that celebrated the PS1's anniversary.
