oh nothing just thinking about mark grayson x super!reader.
Tumblr media
super!reader, who is involved in her community. she uses her strength and flight to help build homeless shelters. she volunteers at soup kitchens. saves residents from burning buildings. helps old ladies cross the road. saves cats from trees. carries endangered animals away from hunting grounds. she turned the colours blue and red into a sign of hope, trust, and protection.
super!reader, who knows omniman before mark gets his powers.
super!reader, who enjoys omnimans company. sure, the man is a little grumpy and a bit . . . intense. but he’s the only one who she knows that understands missing their home planet. she talks to him about Krypton, and he listens. he talks to her about Viltrum, and she listens. she noticed that he seems very passionate about the planet, but doesn’t judge. she pins it as repressed homesickness.
super!reader, who points out they both have red capes with a certain excitement, like a child fitting in with the cool kids. nolan decides to keep her around. perhaps she’d swear loyalty to viltrum soon and help him with his mission.
she isn’t a member of the Teen Team, or Fight Force, and wants to keep it that way. she helps out when needed, of course. sometimes she’ll take care of matters on other planets for Cecil, but she doesn’t work for the GDA. nolan respects that.
there’s a few things they disagree about. super!reader has a strict ‘no-kill rule’. nolan doesn’t. she purses her lips as she watches nolan kill thousands of Flaxans.
“you realise they would just return to earth to kill even more humans?”
(insert big sigh) “but what if we set up a rehabilitation centre on their planet?”
“either put that laser vision to good use kid, or lift those buildings out of the way for me.”
super!reader, who is invited to the grayson house for dinner, and she accepts because she doesn’t have any family of her own (except for Krypto), and often struggles with domestic tasks.
super!reader, who loves helping debbie with dinner. she really likes the woman, and wants to be a good guest. except, she often forgets her own strength. after debbie cleaned up one too many smashed plates, she assigned super!reader to the job of setting the utensils on the table. she had to hide the forks she accidentally bent in half from debbie or else be banned from the kitchen forever.
mark grayson, who first meets super!reader at dinner. his dad came into the house, still in his suit, but this time had a girl hovering at his shoulder. literally hovering. she greets him with a kind smile and he instantly becomes awkward.
“so . . . uh, hi. I’m Mark.” He holds out his hand. Nolan blinks. Debbie smiles to herself.
“I’m (name).” She shakes his hand. Mark blushes at the skin contact.
“You can sit next to me.” He says far too quickly. He adds on: “if you want.”
mark grayson, who goes red when nolan expresses worries to super!reader about mark not developing powers, because why is his dad embarrassing him in front of the pretty girl?
he gives her a “thank you,” when she dismisses nolan’s worries with a laugh and a small hand wave. she claims there’s nothing to worry about. nolan’s eyes narrow, but he doesn’t speak about it anymore. she doesn’t actually have any qualifications to say that, but for some reason, her words seem to be took as the truth.
mark grayson, who practically wills himself to get powers sooner so he can join you and his dad (and impress you).
super!reader, who is excited for mark to get his powers. she looks forward to mark joining her and nolan on missions, and their hangouts will become so much more fun!
when mark does get his powers, he, super!reader, and krypto fly around the garden, playing catch with the dog.
mark loves krypto. debbie denied every request for a dog when he was younger, claiming that the animal would end up her responsibility and just add to her plate. so, krypto comes along with you. he’s a pretty friendly dog, but obviously especially loves superheroes a little more, because he flies excited circles around mark whenever he sees him.
mark grayson, who talks to super!reader about Seance Dog, and shows her the comics. he worries about her viewing him as a complete nerd, and she does tease him, but she listens to him talk. krypto took great interest in the hero dog, and seemed to become jealous whenever mark praised the character.
one time, super!reader found krypto in marks room, with ripped pieces of the comic around him, looking quite pleased with himself (if dogs can look like that). she had to fly across five states to get that issue and replace it before mark saw.
(she has to reassure krypto that he’s the only hero dog in her heart. she asks mark to tell him the same. he does.)
super!reader, who is asked by nolan to help with marks training. she helps mark with his flying, and is much kinder than his father while guiding him through the air. she jokes that she’s ready to catch him if he falls. mark laughs, but is secretly imagining it.
and one day, on some mission, she does catch him. he’s in her arms, bridal style, and she’s smirking at him. he goes red, and mumbles something about how he was “just about to catch himself.” she laughs. he’s never noticed how . . . firm her arms were before, but now he can feel them. after that, he has to make an effort to not stare at her arms for too long.
even though she’s helping nolan train mark, viltrumites can be different to kryptonians so she’s quiet for some parts. she laughs behind her hand as nolan asks mark to hit him and mark misses. mark punches her in the shoulder, and she gasps at the power which was able to send her away a few meters. she retaliates by sending him into the atmosphere. (all in good fun of course) (nolan gave them both a lecture on “professional and mature usage of powers.”)
super!reader, who likes her newfound trio of superhero’s. she laughs about their costumes. about how hers is red and blue, nolan’s is red, and marks is blue. she likes their matching colours, even if they’re different shades. because those colours mean something to her.
mark grayson, who asks super!reader about Krypton. what it’s like, if she misses it, the people, the customs, the language. she answers all his questions with a twinge of sadness and longing.
super!reader, who mutters and mumbles under her breath in kryptonian, and then looks up at mark as if expecting him to respond or nod at what she just said. mark blinks back at her and gives her a slow thumbs-up, hoping that it’s appropriate for whatever she just said.
super!reader, who over pronounces some words and has a discreet accent in her voice. mark loves it. he notices it and can’t quite place it to any country. he imitates her one day as a tease, but instantly regrets it when he sees her shoulders fall and she becomes quiet. she’s gifted to a million apologies from him, and now he only ever encourages her to talk because he “likes hearing her voice.”
super!reader, who scribbles notes to mark and nolan. they’re mostly updates on any long term missions, or sometimes notes of gratitude to debbie. except, her handwriting is the messiest any of them has ever seen and a lot of words are just simply indistinguishable. mark sneaks them into his pockets and keeps them.
super!reader, who tunes into marks heartbeat when the night goes quiet. she doesn’t know why it brings her a sense of calm to hear the steady thumping, but it does, so she doesn’t complain.
super!reader, who instantly bonds with atom eve at first meeting. she immediately loves the girl, as she’s her first female friend. she marvels at her powers, and atom eve marvels at super!readers. sometimes atom eve will construct a heavy object (like a car) and super!reader will bench it. it gives them a both a chance to show off.
one time super!reader asked nolan for a penny. he was confused, but handed her one anyway. she thanked him before excitedly pressing it into atom eves hand. she watched in awe as atom eve changed the faces into the different people she called out.
super!reader and atom eve, who whisper and giggle to each other over nonsense while mark rolls his eyes and mutters “girls . . .” under his breath.
mark grayson, who basks in the praise that super!reader gives him when he shows her his costume for the first time. she compliments the ‘i’ on it. he thanked her, but doesn’t admit that he took inspiration from the ‘S’ on her suit.
he does tell her eventually. months later, when they’re sitting on a rooftop somewhere. she smiles and says, “that’s flattering, but I didn’t choose the ‘S’ because of my name.”
he gives her a confused look and asks what it means then. she looks at the sky for a moment and replies, “on my planet, it means ‘hope.”
and that’s what she’s provided him with. that’s what she’s provided Earth with. and he couldn’t be more grateful.

Pairing: Jingyuan x trailblazer!reader
Description: He yern for a day were he can have you stay in the flagship instead of traveling from planet to planet, but that would be selfish of him to tell you to stop doing what you love so he hope that one day maybe ,even if it a small chance for it to happen, you’ll change your mind and stay with him forever.
Warning: bad grammar, fluff , small agnst, , love at first sight, mutual pinning.

“ If you continue sighing like a lovesick fool, I can only hope you finish your report, general” a petite woman with pink hair and pinkish-gold eyes grumble looking at the general who is sat with eyes looking as if they are far away. “ ah, divine Fu didn’t see you there” Jingyuan laugh before giving a sombern look at the gift you have left him before continuing your journey to your next destination.
“ General, I’ll be leaving soon but I didn’t want to leave without a proper goodbye so I got you a bonsai tree as a departing gift, I didn’t know what exactly to give you so I ask Dan heng for help I hope you accept it” you outstretched your arms, bonsai tree in you possession, and smile at Jingyuan before looking at your companion for some guide given that the recipient look surprised and have get to say anything.
Seen this he general chuckle before accepting the gift “ thank you I will cherish this gift forever, my dear friend”
Jingyuan sigh before glancing at the mountain of report he haven’t even touched, daydreaming of the day you’ll come back and give you his gift ; a tassel red in color like his ribbon, lion carved bead at knot and hanging love peas symbolizing his love and longing for you. “ How cruel my dear friend, you came and help the Xiangzhou wanting nothing in return but to help, you keep me companies on lonely nights sharing your wonders of your adventures under the moon with me and listened to me when I try to keep everything hidden” he thought looking at the drawer where he keep the tassel.
“And then we had guard chase us into the contaminated area, we thought we lose them and then BAM they are infront of us and and…oh sorry general you must be tired of me glabbering uh” you stop you exciment not hearing your companion who was probably annoyed at you talking his ear off but instead you saw the look of fondness like he was so amused by the story and not the person telling them only to chuckle when you stop.
“no, no continue I like hearing you voice” that comment made your heart race and cheeks heat up but you continue, happy that you weren’t boring the general ,even thought he will never find you boring, seen you happy talking contently was enough for him. He just hope you didn’t have to leave but that would be selfish of him and he was anything but selfish.
“ I’ll finish the report don’t worry Diviner Fu” He waves at her but they both knew that was a lie, the day the general finish his work in time would be the day the Xiangzhou would be in shambles “Oh I hope so” Fu xuan rolled her eyes before storming of leaving the general to his oneself. Out of the room Fu xuan sigh before looking at the floor contemplating and then with a angry look up to the sky she stomps her way out “ (y/n), I think you affected the general more than you think, I don’t know how you haven’t seen the sign; his longing look, that infuriating smile whenever I bring you up like nothing is getting into his head, coming into one hear and leaving the other and it such a botter when I’m trying to notify him of important things but when I say your name his whole demeanor change and he look like a excited puppy when he hear his favorite word” the guards could only see her retreat, her angry complains in the air as she storm out.
“The general loves you” the sudden declaration made your eyes widen and almost choke on the tea given to you by the diviner in front of you “Miss Fu xuan, I think you got the wrong idea!” you insisted but Fu xuan didn’t believe you. “Yeah right, certainly he doesn’t look at you like your his sun; like he didn’t left everything when your companions said they lost you and can’t find you, didn’t protect you from the wrath of a Lord Ravenger, and oh let not forget he got that idiotic lovesick gaze whenever you are visiting, yeah sure” Fu xuan pointed out and before you can counter she stop you “ and you, I don’t know how you still haven’t found out. Do me a favor and do something already! I can’t take it when that scoundrel of a general only ask me about you” seen Fu xuan stress about it you hided your embarrassment behind the porcelain cup, your heart racing and cheeck warm.
Inside the room Jingyuan could hear the muffled voice from Fuxuan before silence fill the air.“ In such a short time you have manage to weasel yourself into my heart and yet you hold it in such tender embrace. I wish you could stay here with me but that shine in your eyes, when you recount your adventure with your companion is something I don’t want to extinguish so I’ll let you be free and when you want, you can return to me ; Xiangzhou will always welcome you, my dearest friend”
“what do you think about settling in a place my dearest friend?” Jingyuan asks you looking at the moon but he didn’t hearded an answer; instead he felted something on his shoulder, turning what he could without disturbing it, he found you have fallen asleep on his shoulder and didn’t heard anything. He just chuckled before raising the cover so you wouldn’t be cold. “ rest my dearest” he whisper, combing your hair and smile knowing that no matter if you decline and said that it wasn’t for you to settled, he will still wait for you if you change your mind.
Far away from the flagship, a train drift in the open expansion of the uuniverse and inside a room there were three trailblazer discussing or more like two embarrassing their companion. “Oh my god! How could you not notice, the general does really like you!” taking you by the shoulders March shakes you and you can only whine “stop it!” you face was burning up, it took a lot of self talking to yourselft so you could gift the bonsai tree, luckily you didn’t let go of it because of your clammy hands. March finally stop shaking you but what your raccon companion said only made you cover your face with a pillow out of embarrassment “ and the way he respond, I’ll cherish this gift my dear friend, with that soft look in his eyes and you said it ,dashing smile, If that is not a clue then I don’t know what is” Stella insinuated wiggling her eyebrow and a smirk on her face “stop it both of you! Out! Out!” both of them giggle; before you can even throw them a pillow like last time ,leaving the room, their laughter and chatter of your embarrassment still heared behind the door before silence is all you heard.
“My god, he really does have a killer smile” you look up from your pillow before trying to fan the heat in your cheeks.

“you’re married?!” garcia was the first to exclaim and emily sighed in exasperation. she eyed her chosen family and knew she wasn’t getting out of answering this. at all.
“Technically i’m divorced now.” emily grimaced as she watched garcia’s face contort further in confusion.
“How can this be? How did you get married and divorced within the hour? You know I thought we were done with secrets after you faked your death but i see I was wrong and you actually don’t love me.” garcia grumbled as she threw herself on the couch in disdain.
“Uh- Penelope, this is not the same thing. I found out at the same time you did.” Emily scoffed as she ran a hand through her hair. She lowered herself behind her desk and made to pick up a file, hoping the team would take the hint. Wishful thinking.
“Oh no, none of that. Spill.” Tara grinned as she perched on the arm of the couch expectantly. Everyone follows her lead in getting comfortable.
“Aren’t there some case files out there you should all be working on?” Emily groaned, nodding toward their desks in the bullpen.
“Sure, but this is far more interesting.” JJ grinned with a shrug.
“Yeah, if I recall correctly it was only a little while ago that you were hyperbolically recounting my wives. And low and behold, you’ve got a wife of your own.” Rossi goaded.
“How many wives are you at?” Luke asked, easily distracted but ever happy to be included.
“Not the point, Newbie. Stop distracting. We’re here to learn about Emily’s secret wife, not Rossi’s 6 wives.” Garcia chastised, turning everyone’s attention back to Emily.
“God, I’m not getting out of this am I?” Emily asked, and when everyone shook their heads her shoulders slumped, and she accepted her fate.

backpacking through Europe may have been her best idea yet, or so she thought at least. y/n didn’t seem to agree. they were nearing the end of their spring break and as beautiful and adventure filled as the days had been— the younger woman was ready to get to a hotel.
“em, if we take one more turn you’ll be carrying me back to civilization.” y/n groaned.
“back to civilization? there’s like 60 people hiking the same trail we’re on.” emily rolled her eyes.
“okay and? i haven’t seen a mall in days. i’m going through serious withdrawals.” y/n sighed as they did in fact take another turn.
“oh stop your whining, we’re almost at the hotel. i told you, we could spend half the trip backpacking and the other half in the lavish luxury you dream of so often.” emily smiled over her shoulder, reaching for y/n’s hand to pull her down the trail.
“i just don’t understand. your mother damn near begged us to use her hotel and resort recommendations and you want to be outside. in nature’s home. couldn’t have gotten that from your mom.” y/n lamented, putting up very little fight as emily guided her further through the park.
emily listened to her complain for most of the days they’d been out but she really couldn’t think of any other person she’d want with her. meeting y/n had been rather serendipitous. she’d just started her mastered at yale and moved into this astronomically expensive apartment in georgetown. and she was hell bent on supporting herself. so she’d found a restaurant looking for waitresses and put in an application. on her way out the hostess had changed and she’d rather dumbly stopped at the station with the application in her hand.
“hi?” the woman chuckled, eyeing the brunette curiously.
emily’s cheeks reddened under the woman’s gaze and she cleared her throat. “uh, hi. they told me to give my application to the hostess but i don’t see her anymore.”
the woman leaned against the hostess stand with a chuckle and reached her hand out to accept the paper. “that was nina, she works mornings. i’m the evening girl.”
emily nodded disjointedly and handed the application over, “morning girl is nina. so that makes you?”
the hostess grinned and leaned a bit further toward emily, “that makes me y/n,” y/n looked at the top of the application searching for a name. “emily.”
emily smiled and rubbed the back of her neck, “nice to meet you.”
y/n smirked as she eyed emily, “you’ve never had a job before have you?”
emily’s cheeks reddened instantly and she grimaced, “is it that obvious?”
“yeah sweet. it’s real obvious. but you’re cute, so i’ll put in a good word for you.” y/n shrugged and headed back through the restaurant with the application. emily’s cheeks felt like they were on fire but it only worsened when y/n sent a flirty wave over her shoulder before disappearing behind the bar.
and from that day on they’d been inseparable. y/n was working her way through law school and even after emily had been rightfully fired from the restaurant, y/n had become her favorite person. somewhere during the first year of them knowing each other they finally gave into the ever present flirtation and got together.
that’s how they ended up in europe anyway. emily was graduating in a few months and this was set to be her last big hurrah of freedom before diving head first into work. she’d sold y/n on the beauty of europe and also her company.
“i don’t know if i ever told you. but anytime mother and i were in france, i spent most of my time with my grandfather up in his cabin in the french alps. there was a 10-year stretch where he didn't come down off the mountain. he had no electricity, no running water, and his food supplies came from the land. those were some of my fondest memories.”
at emily’s explanation, y/n quieted a bit and leaned in to kiss her lips sweetly. “well i guess it’s not that bad then. as long as i can get you drunk tonight?”
“i guess. not like i can say no to you.”
“not like you ever have before. if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
and drunk they did get. so much so that they woke up with little to no memory of the night before. rings on fingers and heads pounding. they were married.
-
“So what, now you’re like Rossi? A profiler with a hot ex-wife?” Tara asked as Emily brought the story to a close. Emily glared at the woman but shrugged a little in defeat.
“well she didn’t seem too upset when she left. if anything she seemed eager for something…” spencer pointed out.
“that’s right boy genius, she thanked me. a scorned ex wife wouldn’t have done that!” garcia nodded frantically, pinning emily with a glare.
“well we are divorced. i signed the paper but while she’s in town, she’s agreed to let me make up for the twenty years of marriage i’ve missed out on.” emily replied, cheeks flushing as everyone cheered and whooped.
“when? where? what’s the plan?” garcia pestered.
“i don’t know penelope, she only just left. plus with our work load who knows when i’ll be able to actually take her out.”
garcia shook her head in determination, “mark my words, i will make sure this happens. i can smell a second wedding already.”
emily looked at the tech analyst in disbelief and jj seemed to get the hint. “alright cupid, let’s leave emily to ponder her date ideas.” emily gave jj a grateful look as she watched her corral everyone out of her office.
second wedding was a bit extreme but she really did hope between her and garcia’s wishful thinking that she’d be out with y/n very soon.
-
“took you long enough. i thought you might’ve changed your mind.” y/n grinned as the hostess brought her over to emily.
emily stood with a sheepish smile, it had been 3 weeks since y/n had popped back into her life and as much as she wanted to get their date on the books— serial killers really stopped at nothing. “trust me, if i’d had it my way we would’ve been doing this far sooner. but alas, serial killers don’t care about my social life.”
y/n laughed softly pulling emily into a hug, “well i’m glad you could pencil me in. between solving your murders and jetting all over the US.”
“you make it sound so glamorous.” emily chuckled, pulling the seat out for y/n and taking her own seat.
“well there is a sort of luxury involved with having a jet.” y/n replied with a shrug.
emily rolled her eyes affectionately, “sure, when you’re not on your way to a gruesome crime scene.”
“well you got me there, you always did have a stronger stomach than me when it came to all that criminal stuff.” y/n smiled as she pulled the menu open.
“you know me, compartmentalizing at its finest.” emily shrugged opening her own menu as well.
“ah ah ah, i was there when you invented that excuse. it didn’t work then and it won’t work now.” y/n tsked.
“you really haven’t changed.” emily smiled with a content sigh.
“you know what i always say, if it not broke—“ y/n started.
“don’t fix it.” emily finished just as the waitress returned to take their order. with orders placed, a bottle of wine poured they both settled into a familiar volley.
“so you seem to know everything that’s happened to me in the last twenty years but i’m a little in the dark.”
“well i only know what your mother knows, which im sure isn’t much considering it’s your mother. but i’ll bite. after you graduated, i finished out law school. i think by then you’d started you undercover work though. started working and haven’t stopped since.”
emily nodded, “right right, and you got engaged while you were married to me.”
y/n scoffed with a laugh, “hey! you’re one to talk, miss i had to be resurrected. my engagement— while short lived was a big mistake. i was young and tired of being alone. but as i said before finding out i was still married was the least of my worries then.”
emily nodded sadly, knowing the pressures of loneliness very well. “loneliness will do that. also can i just explain my whole death arc, so you’ll stop holding it against me?”
“absolutely, be my guest.”
“so there was this super evil guy, i went under and he kinda fell in love with me—“
“fell in love with my wife?”
“shh! yes unfortunately he did. well obviously he went down for his crimes but he escaped prison and came after my team. and he really wanted me dead and impaled me with a chair leg.”
“a chair leg?! you can’t be serious.”
“yes a chair leg, and he got away. so it wasn’t exactly safe for me to be living and that led to me faking my death. and spending my recovery alone in paris.” emily explained.
“well where the hell is he now?”
“dead. my team was very adamant about avenging my death.” emily smiled watching the younger woman nod in approval.
“good. nobody murders my wife and gets away with it.” y/n glared before winking over at emily.
both women talked over their food, flirting like old times, and really just enjoying each other’s company. once their plates had been cleared, a waitress brought out a slice of pie with the words “happy anniversary” drizzled across the plate.
“well well well, you weren’t kidding when you said you wanted to make up for those missed anniversaries.” y/n smiled, holding a spoonful of pie out for emily to eat. she accepted the offered sweet treat with a furious blush, but couldn’t help to think just how whipped she still was for this woman.
-
emily sighed happily, pulling y/n through the streets of dc. one of y/n hands was wrapped in her own while the other held a bouquet of flowers emily had purchased no their post-dinner walk. when they made it back to the parking lot, they reluctantly walked over to y/n’s car together.
y/n grinned as she leaned against the hood of her car, emily’s hand still in her own. she watched as a smile curled on emily’s lips and at the sight of that dimple y/n pulled her as close as she could out in the parking lot. “well em, i must say this was a rather enjoyable belated anniversary celebration. i can only think of one thing to make it perfect.”
“oh really, and what would that be? you know i’ve always strived for perfection.” emily asked, eyes flickering between y/n’s eyes and lips.
“you always were an overachiever. glad to see that’s still the same.” y/n grinned, pulled emily into a kiss that lit their bodies on fire. if there was one thing emily prentiss could do, the woman could kiss. and 20 years seemed to only add to her skills. y/n held out for as long as she could but when could feel her heartbeat in her ears she reluctantly pulled away to breathe. emily looked down at her smugly and pushed a lock of hair out of her face. boy did she miss that.
“next anniversary is on me?” y/n whispered against emily’s lips.
“well i sure like the sound of that.” emily agreed easily.
one anniversary down, only about 19 more to go.

Love In The Darkest Of Places // modern!Aemond x Reader
Chapter 6: Meeting Her
Tumblr media
Summary: You meet Professor Alys Rivers for the first time over dinner.
Warnings: angst
A/N: @exitpursuedbyavulcan is the best beta ever
Chapter 5 // Chapter 7
Tumblr media
Aemond’s apartment was just like you thought it would be: simple and to the point. There were few knick-knacks but the ones that held a great deal of value to him. What you noticed, however, was the lack of photos of you and him. In his dorm, there had been countless photos of the two of you decorating the walls. You were absent here.
You sat next to Aemond on the couch in the living room. Not too close though, as much as you wanted to, you couldn't be so close to him without breaking down in your loss.
“I started seeing Alys about two months ago,” Aemond said. He played with his fingernails as he told you his story. “I was lonely and she was nice. She helped me with my work and would actually hold a conversation with me instead of turning away. Alys… filled something that was missing in me, and I welcomed that.”
Aemond’s words stung you to the core. This was all your fault. If you hadn't run away, he wouldn't be with Professor Rivers. “So…Alys.” Her name tasted like coal on your tongue. “You love her?”
He blushed and turned away. “I don't know. I care for her, and she makes me happy. It's nothing like what I felt for you, though.”
Felt. Past tense.
“Why did you come over here, anyway?” He asked you.
It was your turn to blush. “I just…uh...” you didn't know what to say. “I missed you, honestly. I asked Helaena to bring me to you.”
“Oh, okay, cool,” he shrugged. Then he gave you a small smile.
Oh, gods, a smile. You thought you'd never receive one again. “I was stupid,” you blurted. “I came back to tell you I was stupid and I want to give us a chance.”
Aemond blanched. “Oh. That's… oh.”
Silence fell between you.
“I'm so sorry, but I'm with Alys now,” he said carefully. “And I waited for you. I waited for you for years, and you kept denying me, so I decided to move on.”
Tears brimmed in the corners of your eyes. “Is there anything I can do to make this better? To make us better?”
“Support me and Alys. That's the best thing that you could do for me, honestly. I really like her, and I don't want her to get in trouble for being with me. Once we graduate, we’ll be able to be with each other openly, but right now, we need to be quiet about it,” he said. “And I hate it. I really do. I hate having to be quiet about someone I care about.”
“Support you and Alys,” you echoed. “Yeah, I can do that.”
“Maybe,” Aemond said hesitantly, “maybe… you’d like to meet her?”
Your eyes widened. There was nothing you wanted to do less than meet her. Could you even do it? Meet the woman who now holds Aemond’s heart? It seemed impossible. Meeting her would mean that you would have to accept that Aemond has moved on.
“Sure, I’d love to,” you said instead.
It was Aemond’s turn to be surprised. “Are you sure? You don’t have to lie to me. I know it would be painful for you.”
“The pain I would feel is nothing compared to what you went through the last many years. I’m sure I can handle it.”
Aemond smiled. It was a true smile. He was genuinely happy. “That’s great, I’ll tell her and we can work out the details.”
“Tell me about her,” you said before you could stop yourself. Wondering what he saw in her was killing you from the inside out.
“She sees me,” he stated simply. “She sees me in a way no one else does. Alys doesn't find my eye patch scary or unsettling. She sees me for me, and I haven't had that since… well, since you left.”
“Aemond, I'm so sorry I left.” You covered his hand with yours.
He didn't pull away.
“I will never leave you again, this I promise. Together forever, Aemond. I made a mistake, and I've never regretted something so much.”
“I told Alys about you. That you're my best friend. She doesn't know that I told you about her. She wants everything to be quiet between us.” He took a breath. “If the school finds out we're seeing each other, she could lose her job. I don't want that for her. You have to keep this secret,” he reiterated.
“I will. I promise it.”
Tumblr media
You met Alys the next week. Aemond told you that Alys would take both of you out for dinner at a fancy restaurant called Harrenhal. Unsure of what to wear, you put on a blouse and a jacket paired with nice jeans. Of course, your necklace adorned your collarbone. Nothing too fancy, but not exactly casual either. As you sat in Helaena’s car, nerves tingled all throughout your body.
“I don't want to do this,” you whispered.
Helaena glanced at you, sadness in her eyes. “I know you don't, but it's for the best. I'm so sorry this happened.”
You took a shaky breath. “I did it to myself, Hel.”
“You can do this,” was the last thing she said before you exited her car.
The first person you noticed was Aemond. His silver blond hair was tied up in a bun with a few strands framing his face. He looked uptight, too tense, like something big was going to happen. Seeing him like this made your stomach drop. This wasn't him. He wasn't always this tightly wound.
Next to him was Professor Rivers. Her raven black hair cascaded down her shoulders. Her lips were painted a deep red, and her smokey eyeshadow made it pop even more.
Jealousy coursed through you when you saw her holding his hand. That should be you. Not her.
“Hey, Aemond,” you gave a smile.
His eye lightened when he saw you but only gave you a nod. Your face dropped when he didn't give you his usual smile. When he saw your reaction, he quickly rectified it with a smaller smile. Not his usual one when he saw you but it would have to do.
“So you’re the best friend,” Alys said. “Nice to meet you. I’m Alys Rivers.” She held out a hand for you to shake.
“I know who you are,” you blurted. “I mean,” you cleared your throat. “I mean, I attend the university, Professor Rivers.”
“Oh, Aems didn’t tell me that.” She gave him a side-eye.
Aems. That was your nickname for him, not hers.
Aemond looked at her sheepishly. “She's my best friend, I had to tell her.”
“You didn't have to tell her,” she bit back.
You were quick to come to Aemond’s rescue. “I won't tell anyone, I promise.”
“Hm. Okay.” Alys turned around and led you and Aemond to an open table.
You followed her dutifully as though you had no other option. Alys smiled at the owner of the restaurant as she passed him.
“Ah, Mr. Strong, how nice to see you,” she said before she kissed his cheek.
“Ms. Alys,” he cooed. “It's always great to have you here. Table for two, I presume?”
“Actually, three this time. My new man wanted to introduce me to his…friend.” She said it as though she was less than excited to have this dinner. “And I figured where else would be better than here at Harrenhal?” She gave a dainty laugh and turned to you and Aemond. “Come.”
After twists and turns around tables, Alys finally led you to an empty one. Harenhall was a busy restaurant. Patrons were coming in and out constantly, and they were all dressed their best. You looked down at your jacket and jeans combo and tried to hide behind Aemond. Instinctively, you reached for his hand, but Alys caught you and sent a glare your way. Recoiling immediately, you tucked your hands into your pockets and tried not to cry. There was no way Aemond was actually into this woman. She was so… cold.
When Alys sat down, she patted the chair next to her as though Aemond was a dog to be called. Cheerfully, Aemond sat down next to her and pressed a chaste kiss on her cheek. Alys smiled before taking Aemond’s chin in her hand and devouring him in a harsh kiss. You stood there, unable to move, completely at a loss of words.
Aemond, your best friend, your love, was just pulled into a hot make-out session with his professor/girlfriend in the middle of a fancy restaurant. After a minute of watching them and holding back tears, you coughed awkwardly and sat down.
Alys let out that dainty laugh when she separated from Aemond. “I'm sorry, I just can't get enough of him,” she smiled.
Aemond was flushed, his shirt slightly ruffled. He didn't look at you. He looked straight past you in bliss.
Alys coughed. “So, tell me about yourself, best friend of my handsome man.”
“I'm a senior at the university, much like Aemond. We've known each other since we were children and have been close ever since. We've been together through thick and thin.” You didn't know why you were going into how close you and Aemond used to be. It was almost as though you wanted to tell her that she will never be what you are to him. “I was there when the big accident happened and I've always been by his side. I -”
“Now, I'm going to stop you right there,” Alys said coldly. “You are lying. At least partly. You're not as close as you said you were. If you were then Aemond must be lying to me. But, I would believe him over you any day. You're not close. Maybe you were once, but not now. No, from what he's told me, you two have drifted far apart.” She laughed. “You didn't even know he moved! Not quite best friend-like, don't you think?”
You clenched your jaw. “Yes, Aemond and I have grown apart, but I still care for him.”
Alys gave you a mocking pout. “You're not his best friend, not anymore, sweetie. That's my role now.”
You gaped at her. “Aemond, you're going to let her talk to me like this?”
Aemond just stared at you. “She's telling the truth, isn't she? We haven't been close since… since you left.”
“And since you left, it was me who came in to save him,” Alys chimed in. “Oh, and what was that little phrase you two say to each other, Aemond?”
Aemond told her?
“Together forever,” he mumbled.
“Yes, that. I don't think you should be saying that to him anymore. You're not a couple. That's me and him. Not you. You broke that promise when you left him.”
After holding back the tears for so long, some finally slipped out. You didn't want to give Alys the satisfaction of your tears, but you couldn't stop them.
“And your necklace. It looks like the sapphire Aemond has.”
You gasped. She's seen Aemond’s sapphire? Does that mean that they’ve… no. You refused to think about it.
“Maybe you shouldn't wear it anymore. If anyone knew what it was they would get the wrong idea. Oh! I have a better one.” Alys smiled cruelly. “You give that necklace to me and all will be okay. Do you know how much it probably hurts him to see you wear a promise that you never followed through with?”
“No!” You all but shouted. Covering the necklace with your hand, you pressed it close to your chest. “It's mine,” you growled. “And yes, I made mistakes that hurt Aemond, but I refuse to be thrown out like I'm nothing.”
“Oh, sweetie, he's not even helping you.”
You looked at him. “Aemond, please,” you begged.
“I'm sorry, but Alys is right. We haven't been close in a long time. I won't make you give your necklace, that's yours. But… we do need to stop saying ‘together forever.’ That’s me and Alys now,” he said.
As you shook your head, more tears fell. “This was never supposed to be a nice dinner, was it?”
Alys sighed. “Well, it was. Then you went and spewed all that shit about being so close with Aemond. I won't stand for that bull. You hurt him. A lot from what he's told me. If it were up to me, I'd cut you off completely, but Aemond doesn't want that. He still values your friendship despite the shit you've put him through.”
“Okay,” you said quietly. “I'll leave.” You took one last look at Aemond, one last goodbye, but he wouldn't even meet your eyes. “Goodbye.” You got up silently and pushed your chair in. Keeping your head held high didn't even cross your mind.
“It's better this way,” you heard Alys say. “She’s not good for you. I am.”
Tumblr media
“I was gone for maybe thirty minutes. What happened?” Helaena asked.
You had called her as soon as you left the restaurant. Of course, the weather matched your mood; it was raining. You let the rain wash over you and mingle with your tears.
“He's gone. I'm dead to him, Hel,” you told her. “Please come and pick me up. I don't want to be here. I don't want to be anywhere.”
“Stay on the phone with me. I don’t want to leave you alone. I should be there in a few minutes,” Helaena said. “Tell me your full name, where you are, and one thing for each sense.”
She was trying to ground you. Helaena knew you almost as well as Aemond. That thought made its way to the front of your mind and fresh tears ran down your face. You sniffled into the phone.
Helaena’s voice danced in your ear. “Stay with me. Your full name, where you are, and list one thing you can feel, two you can smell, three you can hear, and four you can see.”
After taking a shaky breath, you gave her your full name. “I’m outside Harrenhal,” your voice caught at the name of the restaurant, causing you to whimper. “I can feel the rain running down my body. I smell food and wet pavement. I can hear cars passing by, people talking, and the splashing of puddles as people walk. I can see the rain, the wet trees along the sides of the sidewalk, a colorful umbrella keeping a lady dry, and your blue car pulling up to pick me up.” You smiled a watery smile as Helaena got out of the car and wrapped you into a hug.
“You’re going to be okay. Let’s get you home.”
Getting into the car was difficult. Your body didn’t want to move. Eventually, you were able to make it in. Normally, when you’re in a car, you look out the window. That wasn’t the case this time. You refused to look at the place where your heart was torn out. So instead, you closed your eyes and leaned against the window as Helaena drove off. If you had looked out the window, you would have seen Aemond, watching you leave.
The drive home was silent except for your occasional sniffles. You couldn’t stop crying. Every time you thought you were done, a new thought would enter your head and a new wave of tears would begin its flow.
Once Helaena pulled up at the apartment, she opened the door for you and helped you out. You were completely numb. You didn’t want to do anything. Nothing felt right anymore. You had no energy.
Once you were in the apartment, Helaena walked you to your bed. She helped you out of your soaked clothes and carefully got you in your pajamas. Once you were in new clothes she wrapped you up in blankets. “I’ll be right back,” she said before she left the room.
Alone, your thoughts spiraled.
He hates you.
He chose someone else over you.
And that someone has convinced him that everything you’ve been through was fake.
Helaena returned with a cup of hot chocolate. She encouraged you to hold it and take a sip. “Tell me all what happened,” she gently said.
“I met Alys,” you said between sniffles. “She’s so cold and fake. I don’t know what Aemond sees in her. She’s manipulating him. I know she is. How? I don’t know.” You took a sip of your hot chocolate. It was warm, and a feeling of comfort washed over you. “She basically told me I needed to stay away from him; that I’m not his best friend anymore. She tried to take my necklace, Hel!”
“She what?”
“She told me that wearing the necklace hurt Aemond and that I should give it to her instead.”
“What did Aemond do?” Helaena asked.
“He said that I should stop wearing it, but that I could keep it. But,” you stopped to take a breath. “Alys also said that we need to stop saying ‘together forever,’ that it was her who was now together forever with him. Not me.” Your voice broke. “And Aemond agreed with her.” Breaking down into tears again, you set the cup of hot chocolate down and curled up tighter in your blankets.
Helaena hugged you. “I’m so sorry. He’s being stupid,” she said. “I don’t know what’s going on in his head, but it isn’t right. He’s always looked at you with so much love and cared for you like no other.”
You shook your head. “Not anymore, Hel. He made that very clear.”
“He’s an idiot. He’ll pull his head out of his ass and see Alys for who she truly is soon.” She pulled away from the hug. “Now, though, it’s time for you to get some rest.”
“Will you sleep here?” you blurted out. “I just… I don’t want to be alone.”
Helaena gave you a soft look. “Of course.” She climbed into the bed and wrapped her arms around you.
And with that, you fell into sleep, wrapped in the arms of your friend.
Tumblr media
When you woke up, Helaena was gone but you didn’t worry. You could hear her singing as she made breakfast. You felt a bit lighter since falling asleep, but there was still a weight on your chest.
Your heart ached for Aemond. There is no one in the world you wanted more than him. You missed Aemond; it was plain and simple. You missed your best friend. Most of all, you missed what could have been.
“I brought you breakfast,” came Helaena’s voice from the doorway. “I grabbed you some orange juice, and I made pancakes.”
When Helaena offered the plate of food and the cup of juice, you gratefully accepted it. Eating took effort. It was like you had to encourage your body to move and go through the actions. If you let yourself go on autopilot, you would just stop. You knew better than to let that happen. You had to keep going.
“I think I'm gonna call tomorrow a mental health day,” you told Helaena as you finished up your breakfast.
“That's a good idea. You could go to class but you wouldn't retain anything with how you're feeling,” Helaena agreed.
You sighed, clinking the forks on the plate. “I'm at a loss of what to do. I'll rest tomorrow, but I can't do nothing forever.”
“No, you can't. What we can do,” Helaena started, “is take today and tomorrow to rest and reevaluate everything.”
“Yeah, I like that.” You gave your friend a smile. “Thank you for the breakfast, Hel.”
After you returned your breakfast dishes to Helaena and she left your room, you got up to get ready for the day. At your vanity, you stared at that sapphire necklace. Alys was right. It hurt Aemond every time you wore it. A broken promise. For the first time since you lost it those years ago, you didn't put it on.
Days went by, and you heard nothing from Aemond. Granted, you didn't really try to reach out to him either. You were at a standstill.
Attending classes had gotten somewhat better. Aemond was no longer actively avoiding you but he wasn't making any effort to see or interact with you either. One day, you tried to talk to him but then Alys showed up and glared at you until you walked away. Aemond didn't see her.
Defeated, you walked through the stairwells of one of the college buildings, not wanting to take the elevator. While trudging up the stairs, you heard moans. You prepared yourself to find Aemond again, heart already hurting. But there were more sounds this time. The sound of bodies hitting bodies. A fast pace, a rhythmic pace.
Your stomach dropped at the potential sight of seeing Aemond fuck Alys, but it was too late to turn around now.
You took a deep breath and closed your eyes as you took the last steps.
“Oh fuck,” it was Alys who moaned. You knew it was her. It was the same sultry voice.
“Fuck, I'm gonna come.”
That wasn't Aemond's voice.
Your eyes shot open and widened.
Alys was cheating on Aemond.
What you saw in front of you was Alys pressed against the wall by some other guy. Her skirt was pulled all the way up, and her blouse and hair were ruffled. Her lover’s pants were pulled down low enough to free his cock but was otherwise clothed. He was aggressively pounding into her, and her face was contorted in bliss.
“Fuck!” She shrieked in pleasure.
The nameless guy thrust into her one last time, emptying inside her.
Alys turned around and grabbed the guy into a bruising kiss. When she separated, she pulled her skirt down and looked at you.
“Be a dear and don't tell Aemond, sweetie. Not that he'd believe you.” Alys winked at you before pressing another kiss to her lover and walking down and out of the stairwell.
You stared at the guy, and he winked at you. “Want to be next?”
“No, I'm good.” And with that, you left the stairwell and went to class.
Tumblr media
The next time you had class with Aemond you made sure you stopped him.
“Aemond! Wait up!” You called to him.
There was no Alys this time to stop you. Aemond looked around, confused, but relaxed a bit when he saw it was you calling his name. It had been a while but you've always been able to put him at ease.
“Wanna walk and talk? It's been a while,” you said when he caught up to you.
“Yeah, sure,” he gave you a smile.
Gods, your heart warmed with that smile.
“I miss you, you know? I've missed my…” you hesitated. “Friend. I tried to reach out to you, Aemond, I really did.”
Aemond looked guilty. “At first, I was ignoring you,” he admitted. “I couldn't handle the heartbreak of you not choosing me, of leaving me. And then Alys came along. When I told her about everything between you and me, she suggested that I block you. So I did.”
You scoffed. “So quick to listen to her.”
“She was there for me when you weren't!”
“If you didn't block me, I would have been there sooner! If you responded to me I would have been with you. We could have been together, Aemond!”
“But we aren't. I'm with Alys, and you're -” he gestured to all of you “- you.” He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “I don't doubt you'll find someone. Someone is out there for you.”
“...You, Aemond. That person is you.”
“We don't know that! Maybe I was at one point, but I'm not anymore. I'm Alys’.”
You shook your head. “No, please don't say that. Don't leave me, Aemond.”
“I'm not leaving you. I'm letting you go.”
He grasped your hands and a shock rippled through you. He hasn't touched you since… you don't even remember when.
“Find someone who is good for you. For some reason, that couldn't be me, no matter how badly I wanted to be. Alys…she's good for me. She's not as good as you could have been, but she cares.”
“Aemond,” you hesitated to tell him what you saw. “Aemond…she's cheating on you. I caught her with another student fucking in a stairwell.”
Aemond lost all color in his face. “You're lying. Alys cares about me. She’d never do that. She loves me.”
“Do you love her back?”
“I… I don't know. But no, she couldn't have cheated on me. She promised me there was no one else but me.” He started playing with his fingernails.
“You can talk to her, but she's going to deny it.”
“Because it's not true!” He yelled. “No, you're lying.”
“Aemond, I would never lie to you. You know that.”
He looked at you with a tear falling out of his good eye. “But you've broken promises. That's just as bad.”
“You know I never meant to hurt you,” you pleaded.
It was Aemond’s turn to scoff. “That's what they all say, you know? No one meant to hurt me; it was all a mistake. I'm done with that.” He looked at you and schooled his face into something hard. “I think you need to go. We shouldn't be near each other.”
“Aemond, you can't mean that.” Tears fell down your cheeks. “Please don't shut me out like this. I'm telling you this because I care about you, and I don't want you to get hurt!”
“You have to let go of me. I let go of you. We both know it's better this way.” Aemond sighed. “You can delete my number. You're still blocked on my phone, and I won't be changing that.”
“Aemond…” your voice broke.
“I gotta go. I'll see you in class.” He pushed by you and walked briskly ahead of you.
You waited for him to look back.
He never did.

idk if you write for axl, but i’d love for you to write the most heartbreaking angst where axl’s fit of rage got out of control with reader, and he leaves, but when he comes back, he has to deal with what he did and how it affected the reader !!!
˖⁺‧₊˚ ˚₊‧⁺˖✮-------------------✮˖⁺‧₊˚ ˚₊‧⁺˖
act like nothing happened
axl’s outbursts get a bit too much for you.
warnings: axl being rude (but what’s new)
a/n: my first axl request YAYYAYAYAY!! you can see who i write for here if you’re ever stuck 😋😋
Tumblr media
“please axl, just listen to m-”
“leave me the fuck alone! i don’t wanna hear it!”
axl slammed the door to your shared bedroom right in front of your face. you two were once again arguing. it felt like routine now - you couldn’t go a few days without axl losing his temper at you over the smallest things. it was draining. so draining.
it was late. he’d only come back maybe half an hour ago after a long day at the studio, writing and recording. you had asked him if tomorrow he could come home a bit earlier so you could spend more time with him. a harmless question. but axl exploded at you, screaming at how ‘you don’t know how hard i’m working!’.
sure, that might be true, but it didn’t warrant a response to you like that. he had stormed off and you followed, which left you here, standing outside the door trying to get him to listen. it wasn’t working.
“axl! open the fucking door!” you shouted, knocking hard on the white wood. you got no reply.
you sighed and accepted defeat yet again. entering the living room, you fell into a slump on the sofa. the multitude of blankets and pillows embraced you better than axl had done this past month. it felt like forever that you stayed there, trying to get some rest. sleep evaded you endlessly.
it was pitch black outside when you heard axl storming down through the hallway and into the living room. you sat up and didn’t say a word. he was rummaging through the drawers.
“where the fuck are my keys?” he spat at you, not bothering to even look in your direction.
“uh- i don’t know.” you replied helplessly.
“well i left them here when i came in,” he said pointing at the drawer he was currently looking in, “so where the fuck did you put them?”
“i didn’t put them anywhere, axl. i don’t know where-”
“don’t lie to me! just tell me where they are so i can fucking leave!” he spun around, now staring you right in the eye.
“i said i don’t know!” you told him again, close to tears.
he scoffed, and as quickly as he came in, he was gone. he slammed the front door behind him, making you even more upset. crumpling up on the sofa, you began to sob. then you noticed his keys. they were sitting on the mantelpiece. that made you just break down. then you started to think. was it worth it anymore? being with him? you debated the question in your mind. troubled thoughts like that plagued you until you eventually fell asleep.
you woke up in the late morning expecting axl to be back. he wasn’t. you searched throughout the whole house, but he was nowhere to be found.
it was the same the next morning too. you were worried now. yes, sometimes he left when you were fighting, but never for 24 hours. what could he possibly be doing?
it was late evening when axl came back. the sky was a dark shade of grey-blue. you were standing by the phone, trying to figure out what place to call for takeout. the door opened and you jumped.
“hey baby!” axl said as he walked in. you didn’t answer.
“oh cool, are we getting takeout? i was thinking maybe some italian food…” he went on before noticing the angry stare you gave him, “what?”
“axl, are you fucking serious?”
“what… what do you mean?”
“don’t play dumb with me. you screamed at me and left me alone for two days over something fucking tiny. then you come home and act like nothing happened. are you actually insane?” you seethed.
axl’s face dropped. clearly, he hadn’t realised how his actions had affected you. “darling, i’m so sor-”
“don’t give me that shit. order your own food.” you told him, storming off to your bedroom.
about an hour later, a soft knock was heard on your door. in came axl, a bag of takeout in hand. you sighed, but let him come in.
“i’ll go get the drinks. be right back.” he said, dipping out of the room and leaving the bag on the bed.
you reached over and sorted out the food, not bothering to shout for plates. he had gotten your favourite. a smile crept slowly onto your face. as you finished dishing out the food, axl came back, a can of coke for each of you.
“i’m sorry. i’ve been trying to work on these fucking-”
“its alright. just… don’t walk out on me next time.” you laughed.
“i won’t.” axl smiled, leaning over to kiss you.

can you do a jack hughes imagine after a break up inspired by the song logical???
i love you’re writing
Sure thing angel!
-:-
Master manipulator
God, you're so good at what you do
Three dates and she was a goner.
His charming smile, charismatic, playful tone, gentleman like manner when he picked her up, dropped her off and was with her in public.
Jack Hughes was, in her opinion, destined to be her forever. After three dates turned into daily events, whether it be Netflix and chill, a fancy dinner or just a spontaneous late night drive. Three months in she met his family and when the season approached with an unsavory haste she made the bold move to follow him to Jersey.
Then it started.
And I'd put myself through hell for you
Hear all the rumors lately
That you always denied
Throughout the preseason, you were just naively learning the lay of the land. Jack being his usual charming self helped, he introduced you to the other wags and showed you around the city, he quelled your fears and held you while you cried about missing home.
Scared and quite frankly, alone in this new city you just continued following blindly.
Three weeks into the season, Jack had seemed to settle back into his habits. The good and the bad.
Partying most nights after wins, most you weren’t invited to go with him to. You always obeyed him, if he asked that you stayed home, you did. Even though this meant you spent most nights at home, crying yourself to sleep after scrolling through social media and seeing the various photos of Jack with other girls. Close enough with these girls that the tabloids were speculating about who he was dating.
How silly you were to trust him when he came home, kissed the tears off your cheeks when you confronted him about them and reassured you that you were the only one he wanted.
You mean all the words you said.
I’m sure that girl is really your friend.
“Jacky, talk to me. What’s going on, you barely talk to me anymore!” she had exclaimed in frustration after Jack had again stumbled in reeking of floral perfume and alcohol.
“What are - hic - you talking about, baby! We live together, it’s hard not to talk to each other!” he grinned dopily at her whilst toeing out of his shoes, shrugging off his jacket and stumbling towards her. “Let's go to bed, I’m tired!”
“Alright Jack.” she sighed disappointedly accepting his over the top embrace as he pulled her clumsily down the hallway to their shared bedroom.
-
“Hey Jack, could we talk about something really quickly please.” she called out into the hallway from the door frame of the bedroom.
“Yeah sure, but make it quick. I’m going to Nico’s for drinks and I need to leave soon.” he spoke distractedly looking at his phone as he walked down the hallway and into the bedroom, shutting the door behind him.
“Ok, uh. It’s about more photos that have surfaced of you… with other girls.” you spoke quietly but after the look that crossed Jack’s aggravated face your rushed, “I know you wouldn’t do anything! I just get scared.”
She had every right to be.
“She’s just a friend Y/N! You have no right to be scared! Are you really that insecure!”
'Cause loving you is loving every
Argument you held over my head
Brought up the girls you could have instead
“Y/N I swear to God! If you talk to me about one more picture of me with girls I might be dating! I might just!” Jack screamed
“You might just what Jack?” You yelled back “what might you do!”
“I might just go to some of those girls! They’re perfect Y/N, they would bug me about this plus, they have very nice bodies!” He yelled, and under his breath I swear I heard him mumble “better that you.”
And now you got me thinking
Two plus two equals five
And I'm the love of your life
'Cause if rain don't pour and sun don't shine
Then changing you is possible
“Y/N, you can’t keep coming to my place like this after you and Jack have a fight saying you can fix him.” Your friend chastised, soothingly rubbing your hand and you sobbed in her arms on her entryway floor.
“But I can!” You sobbed “I can-plea-let me!”
“Honey, for your own sake.” She whispered resting her head on yours.
-
‘Goodbye Jack,’ you mumbled to the apartment you once called home. ‘I hope your happy.’
A single tear rolled down your check as you dropped the note.
No, love is never logical.

Sanji has helped me in so many ways. I will forever be grateful for the creation of this character. He quite literally means the world to me right now.
(TW: ED/Depression/Suicide attempt mention)
I've always struggled with food. Well, not always. But at the end of middle school (more or less. Give or take. Age 12/13) I became obsessed with what I ate. I still don't know exactly how it started, but I think it has always been a mix of my need to control my life when it's crumbling down and the necessity to look skinny (both things are my mother's fault, mostly. And also lots of things going on at the moment). So I started skipping meals constantly and throwing away food and throwing up. Not gonna get into details, but it ruined my life without anybody knowing until a huge depressive episode came and then I tried to off myself, yadda yadda yadda. Then I just stopped eating food and my meals every day were basically a monster and gum and maybe a piece of fruit. I couldn't even drink milk without crying. Then it got a bit better. Then a bit worse. It wasn't very consistent. And then I started doing exercise but that only made me even more obsessed with calorie intake and healthy food and I still can't drink milk or bread without at least feeling awful about it.
And then I watched One Piece.
I know it sounds extremely silly and dumb, but it has helped me in so many ways. I'm not gonna get into all the things it has done for me, because then I'd have to talk about Robin, Nami, Luffy, Pudding and Buggy which are, like, the characters that have helped me the most next to Sanji, and I would not finish this post.
But Sanji is just so, so important to me.
He speaks about food with such passion. His whole thing about not wasting food literally comes from an experience of starvation and because of the sacrifice his father made for him. He keeps saying he refuses to let people go hungry, no matter what. That we all deserve to eat. He relates food to love and cooking is his whole life. It kind of started as a joke when my brother said "nooo, now you can't waste food because Sanji would be sad" and I- That day I literally ate wayyy more than usual with that thought in mind. And I didn't feel bad afterward for once. And he's just- He just makes me feel so comfortable around food. Which is the normal amount of comfort somebody should have and sometimes it's not even that, but it helps. It helps so much.
Then his whole thing with Germa and the Vinsmokes. It killed me. My relationship with my mother is, uh, you can call it complicated but I fucking hate her so. Yeah. And Sanji's story about rejecting his blood relatives and finding better people who will love him hit so close to home. Him being different. Weak. More emotional. A good person. Sanji refusing to use the name Vinsmoke. It's my whole life. Sanji self-sabotaging himself all the time and constantly sacrificing himself, too? I just can't do it, man, he means the world to me. And then Wano happens and he turns out to have the same body as his siblings but he's still himself. He's still Sanji no matter how much in common he has with the Vinsmokes. And as somebody who's constantly dealing with people telling them that they look like their mom? I fucking love it. I know I look like her and I even act like her sometimes but that doesn't mean I am her. And it doesn't mean she deserves to be part of my family, because she isn't and I can't wait to get rid of her in my life.
It's not only food and family, though. Sanji has helped me accept myself in so many ways too. In the way I perceive others and in the way I act. He has helped me eat. He has helped me realize you don't have to consider your blood relatives family if you don't love them. He has helped me see that my kindness is a strength and not a weak spot.
Not to mention that his whole thing with gender and sexuality, how the fandom portrays him, and how I personally write him has been of so much help in understanding myself. I recently discovered I was a lesbian, and also being genderfluid I just- I just love Sanji so much I be projecting my gender issues and internalized stuff with comphet on him. And let me tell you, it helps.
This whole thing is just something short and sweet I wanted to say because media affects people. In the best of ways. One Piece in general has saved my life in many ways, but Sanji in particular is still helping me every day.

The clouds had cleared up magically quickly so Glenn shrugged off his cardigan before heading towards the house his grandfather had said was theirs. When he got to the door he could see Howard in side straightening things up. For so long his grandfather hadn't had a house of his own, and now he took pride in keeping it acceptable for company. Nothing to it, time to go in.
Tumblr media
Glenn: Hey grandfather
Howard: Glenn! You got here sooner than I thought
Glenn: If I stayed in that hotel any longer I was going to eat the entire tub of ice cream. My abs don't need that
Tumblr media
Howard: Come here
Glenn let his grandfather pull him in for a tight hug. He'd missed him. Before the show Howard had been his closest friend. Glenn had never really succeeded in making friends or lovers, they often took his self assured nature as snobbery. His grandfather was a constant support though and didn't judge any of Glenn's feelings. Technically he was friends with Grayson but... would he really want to keep in touch? Should he even want him to? Glenn wouldn't want to undermine Clive by overstepping.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Howard: You seem thinner, have you been eating
Glenn: Yes
Howard: Are you sure? I mean they showed your normal exercise routine on the show but not you eating
Glenn: That's because I waited for the cameras to turn off for the night before raiding the fridge
Tumblr media
Howard: How did you find the show
Glenn: Do we have to talk about it
Howard: You were gone and fell in love, we can't just pretend it didn't happen. I won't have you shutting down on me
Glenn: Fine. It was scary. You know I've not dated much and then there I was trying to flirt with a camera like three feet from my face.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Glenn: And then there was Brandon. I'm sure he was just there to sabotage the rest of us. He flirted with me when the camera's were off and... you know how I like attention
Howard: You flirted back?
Glenn: Yes! I thought it was safe because the cameras weren't rolling but the producer found out and made it clear the only reason I wasn't getting booted was because it was the first week. Plus I swear it felt like the watcher was yelling at me about it for several weeks afterwards
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah I did yell at him in the comments a lot afterwards, guilty!
Glenn: I just don't know what to do now grandfather. I mean you always talk about how you loved my grandmother and the pain when she was gone and I nodded and sympathised but I didn't really understand
Howard: And you do now?
Glenn: I love him. It's hard to go in my head and correct and say, uh uh you loved him. Like my feelings are still here and I don't want them to be. I can't have him. How did you get over losing grandmother
Tumblr media
Howard: My boy... I don't think I can say I am over it. She was the love of my life. But I have to believe there's someone else out there for you, and when I join your grandmother and parents in the timeless save I'm sure you will have someone still here by your side
Glenn: You still won't take an immortality potion?
Howard: No. I want to see them again. I won't be tied to this world forever
Glenn: Even for me
Howard: I'm sorry Glenn, my answer is still no
Tumblr media
Howard: Don't despair! I'm not going anywhere yet. But that's why I came here. So I could have a community before I go. And I have to believe the watcher has a plan for you to
Glenn: I don't know. Sometimes I can hear her talking to me and other times it's radio silent. I think she wants me here but... these spellcasters are something else
Howard: You just need time to know them. When you met Phoebus you liked him
Tumblr media
Glenn: Because I didn't know he was trying to recruit me
Howard: And you liked Gillian. You thought Ophelia was a bit odd but you and Miranda seemed to click
Glenn: *sighs* Please don't talk to me about Ophelia. I'd be happy if I never saw her again the... lying liar

its been a few weeks yall but we’re back in the small town affair universe🎉🎉 i would call this a oneshot but its not. youre getting two chapters of this shit and the second chapter will be out who knows when but im WORKING ON IT okay????
tumblr version and tags under the cut
It wasn’t very late when Jason and Leo got home from dinner at their favorite Italian restaurant, Di Angelo’s, but it was dark anyways. Jason sniffled in approval when the wall of warm air from their apartment building hit him. Leo cuddled closer to his side and pulled him impatiently towards the elevator. “We’re only on the second floor, sweetheart, we don’t need the elevator,” Jason pointed out.
Leo scoffed. “Speak for yourself. You may not need the elevator, but I sure as hell do. My kneecaps are frozen.”
Jason giggled and followed his boyfriend. He couldn’t believe it had already been a year since they had first gotten together. Loving Leo just came naturally—like it was ingrained into his very being to fix another cup of coffee with a ridiculous amount of sugar in the morning. He wondered what he had been doing before, honestly. Hadn’t he had that extra sweet bottle of half and half in his fridge forever?
“We should break out the champagne,” Jason suggested as they entered the elevator.
Leo gave him a look, like he had just said let’s go vandalize the local library! “We’re saving the good champagne for the New Year’s party, aren’t we?”
Jason pressed the button labeled two. “Yeah, I know, but it’s a special occasion. We won’t ever have another first anniversary.”
“Mm. True.”
“We deserve it, right?”
Leo furrowed his brow in thought. “I have been working on the school play the past month… and you’ve been on the farm and making the paintings…”
“Yup.”
“Y’know what, we can have the champagne,” Leo conceded. “But only one glass each, okay? Piper still wants us to bring it to the farmhouse for the countdown.”
Jason leaned down to give him a peck just as the doors opened. “Of course, dear.” He just about skipped down the hallway to their apartment, him and Leo hand in hand.
“Why do you want the champagne so bad anyways?” Leo muttered to himself with a laugh, taking his key out of his jacket pocket and jimmying their door open. He stepped inside.
Jason was about to follow when his phone rang, buzzing in the hand that wasn’t gripped tight in his boyfriend’s. He spared a glance down at it, not immediately recognizing the number, but it rang a bell in the back of his mind. “You go ahead, honey,” he said, pressing a kiss into Leo’s hair. “I’m just gonna take this call really quick.”
“Okay. You want me to set up a movie or something?”
“Sure.” Jason thanked him with another kiss.
“No problem, babe,” Leo chirped, closing the door.
It’s probably just a telemarketer, he reminded himself. They were probably calling him about his car’s extended warranty. He clicked the accept call button and held the phone to his ear, leaning on the wall. “Hi, how can I help—”
“Jason? Jason Grace?” An excited, sharp voice piped up.
“Mhm,” he admitted, pointedly not saying the word yes.
If there was one thing his father had taught him, it was to never say that word while on a call with a stranger. “They could use it as audio evidence that you agreed to something,” his father had said. Now that he thought about it, it sounded a little paranoid, but it was just a habit at this point.
“Jason Robert Grace?” The voice continued.
He chuckled skeptically. “I’d prefer if we could keep middle names out of this, but this is in fact he.”
The person on the other side of the line let out a relieved sigh. “Jason. God, you sound so different now. Oh! Um, it’s me. Your big sister. Thalia.”
“Thalia?” He got up off the wall and started pacing. “How- how did you get my number? Not that I’m ungrateful or anything, but, uh, this is kind of out of the blue.”
Thalia’s grin made its way through her lilting voice and out of the speaker. “A friend of mine gave it to me. Reyna. She says one of her buddies back home knows you.”
Jason and Reyna had become fast friends after she had visited Athens during her Summer break. She was out in California getting her doctorate at the moment at his alma mater, New Rome University. They called every Wednesday—speaking of, it should be around that time soon. “Reyna Ramírez-Arellano?”
Thalia let out a chuff of laughter. “The one and only. So, yeah, I figured I’d give you a ring. How’s life?”
“It’s great, actually! I left Father’s company. Yay.”
“Woo! Good for you!”
“I went ahead and moved out of California.”
“As you should.”
“I’ve been here for over a year now. And, uh, I got back into art.”
He was working on a new painting now. Another one of Leo, of course. His boyfriend was his muse, after all. This one was a replication of Lady with an Ermine by Da Vinci with his own little twist. Buford, their cat, was positioned in Leo’s lap, suspended in his arms, both looking off into the distance. The only problem was the fact that Buford wouldn’t stop squirming. Jason didn’t know what else he was expecting, he thought with an amused hum.
There was a beat of silence. Thalia was tapping her fingers on something- the cover of a book, or maybe a coffee cup. “Were you ever into art?”
Jason scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. “…yes. I mean, I get why you have to ask, Father nipped that passion in the bud. But you were pretty much the only person I talked to about it.” Jason’s pacing came to a stop. His gaze fixed onto one spot on the wall.
“Oh.” Thalia got quiet, the only sound coming from her end being soft breaths. “I-I’m so sorry, Jason,” she said with a nervous laugh, “I kind of forgot. A decade and some change will do that to you, huh?”
He heaved a breath to fill the whole lot of nothing that followed.
“Listen, Jace, I know that I fucked up when I left. I should’ve taken you with me at least. And I know that we haven’t talked in years,” she grunted, “and I really know that I don’t deserve a place in your life after I abandoned you. So I don’t blame you if you say no, but could we call tomorrow?”
A smile grew on his face. “Of course. What time works for you?”
“Same time?”
“Alrighty. See you—hear you then?”
She barked a laugh, just like she would when he would tell her some stupid knock knock joke when they were kids. “Hear you then.”
The line went dead. He took the phone away from his ear with a soft sigh, opening the door and heading straight for the couch after putting his jacket next to Leo’s on the coat rack. His head fell back on the cushion, eyes sliding shut, another sigh slipping out of his mouth.
Jason could sense that Leo noticed, because of course he noticed, he noticed everything. He didn’t know whether to be thankful or annoyed in this particular case. There was the shuffling of fabric before he felt a warm presence make itself known next to his. What he assumed was Leo’s hand started tracing an unseen pattern onto his shirt. Despite the part of him that would’ve loved nothing more than to be left alone to cry in his room, he slotted his hand into the spot where it always rested on his boyfriend’s hip.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Leo whispered. Jason just let his head loll onto Leo’s and huffed. “Hmm. You don’t wanna talk about it?”
He grunted as he felt Leo’s fingers carding through his hair. “I wanna talk about it, honey, just give me a minute.” Leo hummed and Jason felt it vibrate through his shoulder. Subconsciously, he hugged his boyfriend closer.
“Thalia called,” Jason mumbled after a moment.
“Your sister?”
“Yup. We talked a little.”
“How’d it go?”
“It was fine. We didn’t go much farther than the basics- gosh, I don’t even know what she’s doing in California. But she’s there. She got my number from Reyna.”
Leo’s arms wormed their way around his neck. “Hey, shouldn’t Reyna be calling soon?”
“…do you think she’d be mad if I put it off for a few more hours?”
Leo leaned up to kiss him on the cheek, making the blond head fall onto his shoulder. “She wouldn’t mind at all. She’ll understand. You wanna let me up so I can get us some champagne?”
He tightened his grip around Leo’s waist, shaking his head into his skin. “I don’t want it anymore.”
Leo never stopped playing with his hair, twirling a strand of it on his finger as he giggled softly. “Okay, sweet pea, whatever you want. You wanna choose a movie?”
“…It’s a Wonderful Life.”
“Okey dokey,” Leo said as he reached for the TV remote. He turned back to him after he had turned it on, lifting his chin up to look him in the eyes. “You know I love you, right?” He said with an earnest, gentle smile.
Jason hugged him close, burying his face in Leo’s curls and taking a deep breath, hoping it said “yes, I love you too, oodles and oodles, forever and always.” He’d said something along those lines just about five hundred times over the past month, but he was beginning to suspect (who was he kidding, he was absolutely sure) he would never get tired of hearing those words and getting to return them.

Hey mother. It's been a while since I last came by huh?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Things been. Intresting. Father honestly doesn't know what he's doing. He's also always angry. But that could also be that I requested Cole to be let out of azkaban. I know. I know. Its a stupid idea but we were five mum. I can't let him rot away forever. It's been twelve years.
Tumblr media
I made some freinds. One of them being a gaunt. It made father happy. But I honestly just like ominis for himself. They're like me in a way. Just with more spark.
Tumblr media
There's also then Sebastian. He's also like Cole.. perhaps too much like Cole. I'm worried he's going to end up like them he's obsessed with curing Anne. His sister is lovely but he can't accept that not everything can be fixed.
Tumblr media
I just hope i can help him see sense with ominis help. I uh. Passed my o.w.l.s but that could be because of father. I guess perks of him being the headmaster. I also am working towards telling my freinds and some of the prossefors about the werewolf situation.
Tumblr media
Welp. I'll swing by tomorrow with some flowers. See you next week mother. I hope your resting peacefully. And happy where ever you are. And also. Uh I hope I make you happy while watching over me. I'll try and stay safe.

Httyd LA Review Part 3: The Characters
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
YOU'D NEVER THINK IT BUT
HICCUP AND ASTRID ARE HICCUP AND ASTRID
Like, if you just look at the casting photos without seeing how they move, you're not gonna get it... it's about body language and they NAILED IT WHAAT
Hiccup brought a more serious vibe to the table, of just... confusion, and hurt, and the search for something that counts. I loved that for him. Loved how he was more openly convinced of his values instead of trying to hide. He was just like "I don't fit here" and everyone else just reacted with this utter helplessness, like... these are the laws of nature we know here, so if you can't adhere to them, then you're a burden and that's YOUR problem. And he was CORRECT to question that. He has my heart. He was so... Idk. You could FEEL how much he didn't fit, the bullying was so bad, and yet his beautiful, angry soul was right there.
Two side notes: The German dub was actually amazing. Hiccup's and Stoick's voices always go together soooo well, so that was terrific. The other side note is, uh... turns out I didn't imagine a fictional crush on Hiccup, I have ALWAYS loved him physically as well (even as a teen boy), and he looks and acts so much like one of my actual cousins. There is real attraction there. Wow. Uhm...okay.
Anyway ASTRID. I didn't think casting Astrid believably was possible, because I've obviously seen a lot of cosplays over the years, and none of them really captured her essence. I met a girl irl once who came closest to how I imagine her, but I understandably can't post pictures of her online. So ASTRID. Hiccup's actor described her actor as naturally cool, and he was right, she's EFFORTLESSLY competent, sharp, present in the moment, kind, dutiful, ambitious, the best, what have you. It's funny how I made that short essay talking about how Astrid never wanted to be Chief she wanted Hiccup to lead, but Hiccup being a loser forced her to step up - and then 2 days later or so the live-action tells it exactly like that. This time, Astrid is openly going for Chief. But as soon as Hiccup starts doing his part, as soon as he starts leading like he should, she backs off and completely supports him. It's not that her strong ambition was rooted in insecurity or something, it was necessity. Pure necessity. And as soon as Hiccup shows her another way, she takes it. SHE IS GLOWING. Astrid always did, but I didn't think she'd be able to pull it off in the live action. SHE DID. She's not a side character or a love interest, she is on par with Hiccup and it feels so utterly RIGHT and NATURAL.
Then. Stoick.
So I do have a couple issues with Stoick. But first, the praise. Gerard Butler was almost perfect as Stoick. He hurt, too. He was so emotional and loving for a viking Chief. He stood strong in what he believed. The eyes, those sea-blue eyes, struck the same chord as animated Stoick did. Beautiful.
HOWEVER. They made his conflict about Valka. They wrote Stoick as a bitter, slightly paranoid and superstitious guy because he lost Valka. And it's an understandable trope for a movie, but not for this movie. Animated Stoick had accepted Valka's death like he had to shoulder countless other deaths because of the war. He understood that even though it hurt him, this was what life had dealth him, and so he had moved on from that. Animated Stoick's concern was for his PEOPLE. It was about preserving a well-established way of life and about finally guaranteeing peace and safety. The 'keeping the tradition' vibe clashes with the fact that everybody just moved there specifically to eliminate dragons in the live action. The live action Berkians are not a rooted People, they are lost and searching for stability, directly reflecting US-America's problems right now. The valid desire to include diversity ignored the historic prevalence in that area where you'd be sitting on the same plot of land since... forever. Let me tell you, if your house is from 1433 and your family has always been around, the overall way of life is calmer. And that is not criticism of the American heritage per se, it's just that I, as a non-American, spotted this immediately and was annoyed by it because this story is still supposed to play in almost pre-medieval Scandinavia. They Bridgerton'ed it. I suppose there would have been different ways to include diversity, like merchants and traders coming from the far south or Mongol/Arctic remnants/migrators of war or natural disasters who decided to settle there as well. Anyway.
For all the bad stuff about Stoick, the nod to his relationship with Astrid was FANTASTIC, and his redemption arc as well. The way Astrid, Stoick and Hiccup were all comforted at the end by their bond of historic grief finally released... that was epic.
And finally, Snotlout, Gothi, and the gang.
Snotlout's treatment was AMAZING, although it didn't quite click why his story had to be told. The strained relationship with his Dad was beautifully executed, but it didn't turn into a bonding moment with Hiccup or showed the relevance of why Hiccup's victory set Snotlout free as well.
I hated Gothi. How can you hate Gothi. Animated Gothi was iconic. LA Gothi was a calculating witch. Uh. No thank you!
The Gang was fine but I admit that I barely noticed them. They were a better unit than in the animated version, like, they actually seemed like a school class of kids that fully grew up together, instead of random teens thrown in together for 1 college course. The bullying hit twice as hard. I remember what that was like, because I lived it, and I despised it in the movie (in a good way). It sugar-coated nothing, and even Gobber's comment to Fishlegs sort of fit. It's supposed to be unfair, and grown-ups are not exempt from the ability to bully. This was a life-or-death, save-face situation. This is what the 2010's were really like. So I'm not mad, except for the people who will not understand this as a nostalgia trip and will scream over an unacceptable script. This is what it was like, people. It doesn't have to reflect today's standards.
The Berkians: Weird, insecure little gremlins. Properly deranged like Ruffnut or Dagur, but lacked the calm and charm of the lumberjack aesthetic. Again, America. Not rooted. Not confident. Extremely funny though. Astrid's Mom behaved like a grown-up Ruffnut. She was a rat haha.
10/10: Would be 11/10 except for Stoick. Apart from the struggle to translate animation precision into LA spatial atmosphere, those characters were TOP TIER.
THIS MOVIE WISHES IT WAS AN ORIGINAL. THE PEOPLE PLAYING IN IT DESERVED TO BE IN AN ORIGINAL STORY. THEY WERE PERFECT.

-FrozenGeodeShipping headcannon fic-
I thought I'd lost him forever, when I woke up here, after the merge. I thought I was destined to be alone forever. I thought Zane was dead. Shattered somewhere, broken, completely unrecognized and completely unfixable. Every time I thought of him, I pictured pieces of broken endoskeleton scattered across the world, little pieces and big pieces everywhere, never to be put back together.
Maybe he was all in one piece, somehow, was he on? Was he okay? Is he broken somehow? Is he hurt?
It was all too much. I couldn't even think about it without starting to cry. It hurt so much to think about, I could feel my soul shattering every time I thought of him in pain, scared somewhere, alone.
I can handle it, I'm the strong one, I can handle everything, physically and mentally.
But I can't handle the thoughts of Zane.
Not knowing is what makes everything so much worse.
Before I knew it, Geo found me, welcomed me into the Land of Lost Things, and it became my home. Everyone here became my family, the kids, they're like my own, I'd do anything for them.
I only wish Zane could be here with me, this could be our home, our family. Together.
Geode and I got pretty close. I started opening up to him about my thoughts, my fears, and he supported me throughout everything. It was nice, not being alone. Before I knew it, I'd been living here for years!
I began to fully accept that Zane was gone, and that I'd probably never get to see him again or know what really happened to him, but Geo was there the whole time. He listened to all of my stories about Zane, listened to how much I loved him, and how much I hurt losing him. He was there. He gave me a shoulder to cry on, and told me he'd always be there for me.
Slowly, I started to fall for him, just like how I did with Zane.
At first, it made me feel horrible, how could I possibly love somebody after losing Zane!? How could I let myself love again, how could I be so selfish?
But...he makes me so...happy.
We raise these kids together, eat together, he even loves MY cooking! I love his toothy smile, the way he laughs at my jokes, and I've never met somebody else as touchy as I am! We hug all the time and he's never said it's too much!
In a lot of ways, he reminds me of Zane. He's so sweet and caring, so willing to sacrifice himself to protect us, to protect the kids and Bonzle, so willing to sacrifice everything to keep us safe, keep our home safe.
He's so mature, he always knows just what to say when you need it, and when he doesn't, he can still sympathize and support you. It comes so naturally to him.
When he smiles, the whole room lights up, he's so passionate about his art that it makes my heart hurt, where someone else might see nothing but a pile of trash, I can really see his feelings. His art has so much depth that I can't even begin to describe.
It's so easy to talk to him, about everything.
One night we were talking, like we usually do, about anything and everything that came to our minds, and without even thinking about it, I told him-
"I think I'm in love with you-"
He stopped talking, looked at me with that toothy smile, and took hood of my hand.
It all felt so natural.
We fell into a routine, life was relatively simple, sometimes we'd have to run away from the Hoarder, but that's nothing we couldn't handle.
We started sharing a bed, which was nice. I can't put into words how lonely I was at night. It feels like Geo grounds me, those nights where I can't sleep because I can't get out of my own head.
The day I finally came face to face with Zane again, after we were finished running from those weird guys in wolf masks, I think I physically felt my heart stop.
So many years gone...where was he all this time?
He brought me into a deep hug as soon as the portal gate had closed.
I didn't know what to do.
I didn't know what I could do.
"Uh! I need a minute!"
I pushed Zane away.
I ran off, I found my old room, everything was just how I left it so many years ago.
Where do I even start with all of this? What do I tell Zane? What do I tell Geo?
What do I even want?
I love them both...
-----
Cole had run off in distress, leaving everyone else in the room in an awkward silence.
Geo put a hand over Zane's shoulders.
"I think we should sit down somewhere and talk."
Sitting down outside, Geo comforted Zane while he tried to process what was going on.
"Why did he...run away from me?" Zane almost whispered, a face to his face, his eyes began to water.
"it's been so long...I thought he was dead...it doesn't make any sense!"
Geo gave Zane a firm squeeze on the shoulder.
"I think he's in as much shock as you are. He thought he lost you."
"I also think he doesn't know what to do...know that we've been dating for several years..."
Zane looked over at Geo, hurt in his eyes, but not directed towards the other being beside him.
"That would make sense. I suppose I wouldn't know what to do in his position either..."
"You're not angry? I was kind of worried you'd beat me up when I told you we're together-"
"What? No, of course not! It would be extremely unfair to Cole to stay single under the presumption that he might one day find me again. I would want him to find someone in the situation we found ourselves in. He doesn't deserve to be alone."
"But I must admit that regardless, this current situation is quite messy."
"I don't think it has to be." Geo smiled, Zane looking back with curiosity.
"You know, this may be pretty forward, but you're as beautiful as Cole described! Everything he told me about you has so far been proven to be true!"
Zane became flustered, heat rushing towards his face as his fans whirred to keep him cool.
That's when they began to discuss polyamory, and idea Zane had never been opposed to, but always thought was too socially unacceptable to talk about. Geo mentioned it was pretty normalized for him in his culture(s), and mentioned it was something Cole has once toyed with, in his younger years.
"I had no idea Cole was so adventurous when he was younger..."
"He told me he wanted to experience everything after running away from that dancing school, he wanted to stop thinking about how his father would react to him being himself, so he wanted to replace it with as many people as possible. He was in a polycule for a little while, before he became a ninja. I guess maybe he never felt comfortable enough to talk about it?"
"Yeah, who knows what the others would've thought at the time." Zane said.
"it's a lot more accepted now!" Geo agreed.
"So, what do we tell Cole?" Zane asked after a while.

Truth
Tumblr media
angst, fluff, female vampire reader
Y/N POV
Me and Dayeon have been together for a while now, and i havent told her one of my biggest secrets. Its not a good feeling holding something back from someone you love, especially when talking about growing old together.
Im ready to tell her now because i dont want to lead her on any longer. I dont know how this is going to go but its for the best.
Right now im waiting for her to get home. I couldnt stop shaking my leg while sitting on the couch, staring at the small table in out living room.
Lost in thought i heard the door open but i couldnt bring myself to look at her yet.
"Hey baby, I'm home!!" I heard her come to me. She sat down with a smile and wrapped her arms around me and kissed my cheek.
Noticing my silence. She grabbed my hand and leaned down a bit to meet my eyes. "hey, what's wrong?"
"W-we need to talk." I slowly pulled her hand away from mine. I sit back a bit to face her directly.
She gave me a look of worry. "o-oh okay, Did i uh do something?" she turned her head in confusion and held her breath.
"No no no it's not you, I need to tell you something okay? a-and once I tell you this I understand what ever you chose to do." I tried to calm her down a bit before taking a big breath myself.
She looked confused before nodding her head slightly.
"Do you know why I'm always cold and why I work in the nights?" I looked into her eyes.
"Well because you told me that you've always been naturally cold and you like the time of night, also that you were only able to get a jobs in the nights." she looked at me even more confused.
"so uh...I lied about that. Reality is I'm a.....vampire." I looked at her clearly.
She looked at me then a second later....she started laughing.
"Hahaha nice try y/n geez... you really scared me I though we were breaking up or something" she patted my thigh.
Calming down a bit she noticed I wasnt saying anything. She turned her head slightly with a grin on her face.
"Y/N why aren't you laughing, are you really going to keep this up?" she continued to look at me. I got up and let her hand fall off my thigh. "watch closely Dayeon." I ran to the door, stood there for a second before coming back.
She looked at me in shocked, I kneeled down and showed her my fangs, while my eyes glowed a crimson red. "i-im not lying about this." I looked at her, i was very disappionted in myself.
Dayeon wasnt able to say anything back, her mouth was opened slightly, her eyes opened wide. Her mouth opened and closed but nothing came out. I decided that it was best to give her some time.
"I uh I understand if you would want to leave or anything, but i-ill leave you alone." I stood up with a sigh, walking to the porch with my head down.
After a few minutes I heard her get up from the couch and it seemed to come closer to me. I heard her heartbeat get louder the closer she came.
She took a breath and turned too look at me, hesitantly i looked over at her,
"well i wish you would have told me sooner." I looked down for looking back up, "It will take me sometime to fully accept but.......I love you too much to let you go silly." she grabbed my arms and wrapped herself around me. I tightened my arms around her,
"I-Im sorry for not telling you sooner." I leaned my head against hers. "But you know that I'm going to live forever." I said sadly.
"Yeah i know that now but i do want to live my life with you and who knows maybe down the line, maybe you could turn me." she picked her head from my chest and stared into my eyes.
"You do know that if you do that you'll live past your family right." i stared straight into her eyes.
"It's okay, I still have a long time to think." she grinned and leaned in to kiss me.
"yeah your right, well no matter what ill back up any decision you have......I love you." I whispered against her lips before kissing back.
"I love you too now I have some questions I want answered?" she smiled against my lips. "But lets go to our room. wait is that why you never bite my neck in the bedroom?" she frowned her eyebrows with a grin on her face
With a smile on my face, i shook my head in disbelief on her question. Ignoring her, I picked her up and went to the room.
"Waitttttt, that explains why you're so strong." she gripped my biceps.
In the end telling the truth is better than lying to someone you truly love, now we could continue our lives and everything that comes with it.

u'rahn as the one being petted
Let Sleeping Lions Lie Featuring: @scrollsfromarebornrealm 's WWAU Characters: Themis, Rrahnald Chai (U'rahn Nuhn) Rating: T Summary: Themis finds that he might have gotten more than he bargained for inviting Rrahn to live with him.
Themis sighed as he returned home, finding a trail of clothes leading from the door back toward the bedroom. Following the trail, he picked up the discarded clothing until finding Rrahnald curled up in his briefs. He chucked the clothing into a bin then crawled into bed with him, gently pulling him onto his back, knowing well the other could not be asleep without the tell-tell signs of his snoring. “I have resigned myself to accepting that I will, on occasion, have to pick up your clothing from the floor; however, is it possible that you might at least contain your clothing to one room,” Themis asked, trying his best to swallow his annoyance.
Rrahn avoided eye contact. That is…perhaps not going to be a problem for us,” he said with a swallow.
Themis frowned, brushing his hand over the other’s cheek before lowering his hand down over the scar left behind by the bullet, finding it well healed. “What is the matter? I don’t think I have ever seen you this unanimated,” he cooed, laying down beside Rrahn to run his hands through his hair.
A sleepy noise escaped Rrahn as he leaned into his touch. “I went to visit momma and pa today. Told them my intentions to be stayin’ here with you. Well, you know my momma. She didn’t take too well for me sayin’ I wanted to leave,” he sighed. “Y’know, laid the guilt on thick. Pa didn’t say much though. Got all quiet and let momma do the talkin’.”
“I am sorry the conversation did not go well. Perhaps I should have accompanied you. I imagine news of our relationship came as quite a shock to them,” Themis said, scritching up Rrahnald’s ears to try and elicit a purr from him.
“Oh. Well, no. She was elated when I explained that parrrt,” Rrahn said, leaning into Themis’s touch.
“Elated?”
“Yeah. Somethin’ about you being an upstanding young man. I uh, didn’t correct the young part,” he mumbled. “So then, things are well. You have their blessing to take up with me then,” Themis asked.
“That…and then some,” Rrahn mumbled, shifting on their bed to get his head into the other’s lap. “Moving in together is a big deal and all. Momma somehow got it in her head that this sudden interest in leavin’ the nest was ‘cause it was somethin’ a bit more than that. Love and stuff.”
“That isn’t wrong,” Themis hummed, watching Rrahn yawn and settle in.
“The forever kind of love,” Rrahn added sheepishly.
“Forever? Of course it is the forever kind. It would not be something I would confess lightly. That would be the logical-” Themis started before pausing, thinking a moment about who he was talking to. “You told them we are to be married, didn't you?”
Rrahn winced, nodding. “You know momma. She gets an idea and can’t be dissuaded. She had the whole event planned before pa and I could get a word in edgewise.”
Themis flopped back against his headboard, staring out toward the edge of the bed as he let the news settle in. “You didn’t try to correct her afterward did you? Rrahn? Rrahnald?”
He looked down, finding Rrahn out, nose wiggling as he drew in breath, threatening to snore. A small laugh escaped him as he tilted his head back. Living with a partner and now marriage. Neither things he thought possible, even with his restart in Stonewood. He touched his chest, feeling something spark within him. Perhaps…happiness?
