This guy really didn't understand what he was getting into. Even though alchemy and chemistry were similar, even though he understood the basics, it didn’t mean that he could do it on his own without making mistakes. Edward's shoulder and leg began to ache unpleasantly as he remembered the consequences of his own mistake. Trying to bring his mother back cost him his hand, Al lost his body. Ed gave his leg for the return of his soul, but that was not enough. He blamed himself for Al's condition since then. They have been looking for so many years to get their bodies back.

Edward pulled off his glove and showed his metal hand to the guy.

"This is the consequences of playing with alchemy and underestimating its power. My right leg is metall too."

He said quietly and coldly.

"My brother and I studied alchemy on our own, then we had a teacher. She warned us, everyone warned us. But that didn’t stop me and my brother. We tried to break the rules and it led us to disaster. We are still paying the price for our arrogance. Chemistry and Alchemy are similar you say? Transmutation is simple? Is it as simple as mixing reagents in your opinion? If you mix the wrong reagents, there will be an explosion and that’s it. You will hurt, but not that much. If you make a mistake in alchemy, the least you will lose is your limbs. Worst case scenario, you'll lose everything. There will no heaven or hell. It will be just dark void and lonliness. From what you're saying, you don't really understand what's are you going to get you ino. But you have potential."

Edward huffed in irritation. It's not his place to interfere in this boy's life. If he wants to make this mistake, so be it. But… It reminded him very much of himself. And it was no less annoying.

"You can't learn alchemy on your own! I can introduce you to my teacher and she will teach you everything she knows. If you ask her nicely. Agree while I'm in a good mood. And besides, as I said, I'm not going to enter into hopeless competition with a person who doesn't know how to do anything. It will be fair if you learn something first and then we have a competition. If you still have the desire for this after training with her."

Navarro twitched an eye when referring to as Hobbit but he didn't care about that. He won't be talked down to and told that he should give up.

"Hell no!" Navarro tells Edward straight out, "What kind of person I am if I give up if I don't go for it? I'm no damn quitter! Science is all about trial and error when learning something and making something." Navarro scowls.

"Sure, I won't master it right away but I'm still going to learn it! I'm going to learn in practice after reading a book no matter how times!" Navarro proclaimed.

"Besides...even if chemistry and alchemy are two different sciences, it doesn't mean they won't overlap." Navarro retorted with his arms crossed. "When it comes to science, there are always formulas and laws to follow! Even Alchemy has some especially along with that equivalent exchange rule! Hell...the purpose of alchemy is transmutation, right?" He asks Edward before he continues,

"Chemistry has rules of conservation in mass and energy. Laws of constant proportions, multiple proportions, and reciprocal proportions. Both sciences rely on experimentation! If you apply the rules of chemistry to alchemy, the rule of equivalent exchange still exists when dealing with elements. And all it boils down to is one thing! Because there is one thing that alchemy and chemistry have in common!"

"Matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed in a reaction only to be converted or transmutation!" He said. "Alchemy and Chemistry are different but similar."

"That's why I'm here to learn alchemy with what I learn from chemistry because I want to get stronger. And I'm not going to let some so-called genius state alchemist tell me to give up who doesn't even know that!!" He said with determination.

This guy was annoying as hell. Came from nowhere and thought he could easily master alchemy? Ha! It didn't work that way. Even if he had knowledge of chemistry, it would not help him with alchemy. These are different sciences. And where did he go to study? Learning from books is useless! Ed and Al tried.

"Oh, yes? Don't you, Hobbit Nevarro, think that chemistry and alchemy are different sciences? It's not enough for you to mix reagents and draw circles! These are difficult things that a teacher should explain to a beginner! You won't learn anything from books! But even if you learn, your little brain decided to use the knowledge to fool alchemy and then boom! You can't fool an equal exchange. There won't be second chance if you did something wrong. Alchemy is not something you can lern without sensei. Just give up, lern your chemistry and be happy"

He could introduce him to Izumi-sensei, but why would he?

"I would watch you try to compete me, but I'd rather do something more interesting. You and I are at different levels. I'll fall in my own eyes if I compete with a newbie zero."
