▬▬▬ ◓      To be trapped with  Matori  of  all  people  was  kind  of  irritating  for  Ash.  He  knew  how  capable  she  was  of  getting  things  done  for  team  rocket  &&  he  wanted  to  get  away  from  her  as  quickly  as  he  could.  So  he  was  looking  for  a  way  out.  Maybe  his  attempts  weren’t  going  well,  but  it  was  better  than  doing  nothing.  His  rotom  phone  didn’t  even  have  service  here,  so  he  couldn’t  call  for  help.  

            He wondered if she’d  even  be  open  to  a  truce  for  the  time  being  --  just  so  they  could  get  going.  But  before  he  could  ask  her,  he  heard  her  speak.  

                              ❝  At least I’m trying something, you know!  ❞  A  pause.  ❝  Wait, what? Who do you mean?  ❞

                                  ❝  My aura power tells me that you’re a little bitch.  ❞

▬▬▬ ◓      Ash was usually pretty  good  at  not  losing  his  cool  ( or  so  he  likes  to  believe ),  but  this  trainer  they’d  come  across  was  really  pushing  his  buttons.  Not  only  was  this  trainer  overconfident,  he  had  taken  to  insulting  Ash  as  well.  The  final  straw  was  when  he  claimed  so  boldly  that  Ash  was  a  bad  trainer.  He  started  to  lunge  at  the  other  kid,  surprised  when  Brock  lifted  him  up.  Of  course, Ash  struggled,  but  then  looked  up  at  his  friend  with  the  most  defeated  look.  

                                  ❝  Aw, c’mon Brock! Lemme at him!  ❞

▬▬▬ ◓      It was his mother’s  arms  around  him  that  made  him  break  completely.  Sobs  wracked  his  chest  as  he  squeezed,  finally  letting  all  of  those  feelings  free.  Between his  loss  at  the  league  &&  then  the  entire  Kalos  crisis  --  Ash  felt  pretty  traumatized.  It  was  even  difficult  to  sleep;  he  kept  getting  flashes  of  the  crisis.  Every  time  he  shut  his  eyes,  he  was  back  at  Lumiose  tower,  restrained  with  his  pokemon.  He  couldn’t  bear  it.  He  knew  his  mom  just  wanted  to  help,  but  it  was  still  too  much  to  handle  right  now.  So  after  a  moment,  he  dropped  his  arms  &&  stepped  back,  wiping  the  tears  from  his  eyes.  His  expression  went  blank.  This  was  for  the  best.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH! ASHASHASHASHASH!" Goh slid into the room, eyes wide. "ASH! It- Raichu- I- ASH!" / @multiversal​ 

▬▬▬ ◓      Goh’s voice startled Ash,  coming  out  of  nowhere.  He  let  out  a  surprised  yell  &&  tripped  over  himself.  From  his  new  spot  on  the  floor,  Ash  looked  up  at  Goh  with  a  tired  look.  What  was  he  freaking  out  about?

                                  ❝  What is it, Goh? Is Raichu alright?  ❞

'  dande  ,  dande  ,  dande.  y'know  ,  he's  all  you  ever  talk  about  nowadays.  '  is  he  grumbling  ?  he  might  be.  (  and  he'd  never  admit  to  it  ,  but  he's  definitely  jealous  ). / @ofmasaratown​ 

▬▬▬ ◓      He can’t help it.  The  way  that  Dande  battled  --  it  was  mesmerizing  to  Ash.  Most  of  the  time  he  didn’t  even  realize  how  much  he  was  talking  about  him  &&  that  was  the  case  now  as  he  was  hanging  out  with  Shigeru.  He  was  going  on  &&  on  about  the  latest  battle  he’d  seen.  He  stopped  in  the  middle  of  a  sentence  though  when  he  looked  at  Shigeru  &&  noticed  the  look  on  his  face.  

                                  ❝  -- is something wrong, Shigeru?  ❞

' are you SURE you're okay with babysitting lei all by yourself? '

she asked grabbing her house keys and bag, standing by the doorway with her free hand on the knob.

' i'll only be gone for an hour or two tops. kukui should be home in an hour too, but you have both of our numbers just incase something happens, right? do you need me to right them down again? oh, and the number for the emergency line is on the fridge, just incase! ' / @tm83s​ 

▬▬▬ ◓      Ash was holding his  finger  out  for  Lei  to  grab,  beyond  excited  whenever  the  little  girl  laughed.  It  was  infectious  &&  Ash  really  did  love  her  so  much  already.  When  he  heard  how  Professor  Burnet  was  panicking  though,  he  picked  the  baby  up  carefully  &&  held  her  with  both  hands.  He  knew  that  she  was  worried,  but  he  could  totally  handle  this  &&  he  wanted  her  to  know  that.  

                                  ❝  Yeah! I can do this! Professor Burnet, trust me. I’ll take real good care of Lei, I promise. We won’t even leave the house. I think you also wrote the phone numbers down && made sure I had them in my phone!  ❞

▬▬▬ ◓      Ash didn’t even hesitate  with  Meowth.  If  he  was  willing  to  put  in  the  effort  to  be  good,  he’d  be  a  hundred  percent  supportive  of  him;  after  all  everyone  deserved  a  second  chance,  right?  Ash  had  always  believed  that.  

                                  ❝  Well yeah! ‘Course I do. You’re a pokémon && you can totally do anything you set your mind to! I mean, look! You taught yourself how to talk like a person! That can’t have been easy to do. You’re really smart, you know?  ❞

❝ ...hmph. I see, ❞ there's a judgemental yet calculated look in his eyes as he glances to Ash. Typical, the weakling standing within Burned Tower now... he must want to improve his assets -- surely he's to know how stupid he is? He won't stand a chance against Ho-Oh, the fool. ❝ You wanted to get stronger, so you came for the legendary Pokemon that's supposed to be here. That's your story, right? ❞ / @endtiimes​ 

▬▬▬ ◓      When Ash learned about  the  legend  of  Ho-Oh,  he  just  had  to  come  &&  see  for  himself.  He  saw  that  pokemon  once,  he  just  knew  it.  On  his  very  first  day  as  a  trainer.  He  stood  inside  the  Burned  Tower  &&  looked  around;  immediately  distracted  by  the  voice  coming  from  the  entrance.  Of  course,  it  was  him  again.  This  boy’s  attitude  got  on  Ash’s  nerves.  Why  was  he  so  negative?  That  was  no  way  to  live  life.  

                                  ❝  I mean, that sounds really cool && all, but no actually. I’m here because I wanted to see Ho-Oh again if I can. I spent a long time trying to figure out what pokemon I saw when I started my journey, && I’m pretty sure that it was Ho-Oh.  ❞

❝ So this is the famous Elm Pokemon lab... ❞ he muses to himself, stood by the window as he peers inside. He's thinking intensely, that is -- until he senses a presence other than himself. The mysterious boy turns to look at Ash abruptly. ❝ What are you staring at? ❞ //u know who u-u / @endtiimes​ 

▬▬▬ ◓      Ash wasn’t trying to  eavesdrop.  But  really,  who  talked  to  themselves  out  loud  like  that?  Also,  why  was  he  creeping  by  the  window.  The  door  was  over  here!  So  Ash  stared  at  him  for  a  moment  before  stepping  back,  hands  in  front  of  him  sheepishly.  

                                  ❝  Well, I couldn’t help but notice you were kind of just staring in the window. It was pretty hard to miss, actually. I wasn’t tryin’ to be rude or anything. The door is right here - were you wanting to come in?  ❞

▬▬▬ ◓      Today, Ash && Goh  had  made  their  way  to  the  Galar  region  to  spend  some  time  in  the  Wild Area.  Goh  wanted  to  catch  some  new  pokemon  &&  Ash  would  take  this  opportunity  to  train  his  team  a  little  more.  He  knew  that  Sirfetch’d  would  want  to  practice  more  especially!  It  wasn’t  long  before  Ash  lost  sight  of  Goh,  who  had  yelled  something  about  chasing  a  pokemon  he’d  seen  that  he  didn’t  have.  They  weren’t  very  far  out  just  yet,  so  Ash  decided  he’d  head  back  toward  the  train  station  &&  grab  a  snack.  He  wanted  more  scones  for  himself  &&  Pikachu.

            It was after he  purchased  the  scones  that  he  noticed  a  kid  sitting  down.  He  looked  upset.  Like,  really  upset.  Ash  didn’t  like  that  one  bit,  so  he  slowly  made  his  way  over  &&  sat  beside  him,  offering  a  sympathetic  look.

▬▬▬ ◓      Ash has read the  letter  several  times  by  now.  His  father  saw  his  match?  He  was  so  excited  by  this!  He  just  kinda  wished  that  his  father  had  been  there,  or  come  &&  said  hi!  He  would’ve  really  loved  to  see  him  again!  It’d  been  awhile  since  he  saw  his  dad,  but  it  made  him  happy  to  know  that  he  was  watching.  So  with  a  smile,  Ash  folded  up  the  letter  &&  placed  it  in  a  pocket  of  his  backpack,  to  carry  with  him  always.

"Battle me right now." Sure, Nemona's only met the guy two minutes ago, but a world champion is a world champion. How often does she have this chance? "And don't you dare go easy on me." / @tumblestones​ 

▬▬▬ ◓      Ash couldn’t have asked  for  a  better  way  to  start  his  adventure  through  the  Paldea  region.  Nemona  seemed  really  cool.  He  could  immediately  tell  that  she  had  a  passion  for  battling  --  just  like  he  did!  This  battle  was  going  to  be  fun,  how  could  he  say  no?  He  could  feel  Pikachu’s  excitement  too,  the  pokémon  already  jumping  off  of  his  shoulder,  cheeks  sparking  with  excitement.

                             ❝  Wouldn’t dream of it! Me && Pikachu always go all out, so give it your best too, ‘kay?  ❞

"Ash." It's Blue, waiting just outside the field entrance. He had shown up for the match, but also to keep an eye on messages from his sources in Project Mew. The expression on his face is more serious than he's ever been with him. He hated to kill Ash's victory high, but they needed to move. "It's about Project Mew. We need to go." / @tumblestones​ 

▬▬▬ ◓      Ash was fresh off  his  win,  feeling  on  top  of  the  world.  He’d  been  kinda  bummed  that  Goh  wasn’t  able  to  be  here,  but  he  knew  that  his  Project  Mew  mission  was  important.  He  wouldn’t  be  mad  at  him  for  that.  He’d  just  have  good  news  for  his  friend  later!  When  he  spotted  Blue,  Ash  waved,  excited  to  see  a  friendly  face!  

            That didn’t last long  though.  The  look  on  Blue’s  face  instantly  concerned  him.  What  had  happened?  Ash’s  smile  faded  &&  he  could  feel  Pikachu’s  concern  too.  From  the  moment  Project  Mew  was  mentioned.  He  had  been  hoping  that  this  organization  wasn’t  bad,  though  he’d  had  a  little  bit  of  an  inkling.  He  didn’t  really  like  to  trust  these  kinds  of  things,  but  he  really  wanted  to  be  wrong.  For  the  sake  of  his  friends.  

                              ❝  Right. Okay, I’m ready.  ❞

"ASH! THE EGG! IT'S HATCHING!" Goh is absolutely beside himself. / @tumblestones​ 

▬▬▬ ◓      Ash was feeding some  of  the  pokémon  by  the  water  when  Goh  approached,  shouting.  Pikachu  had  already  gone  off  to  do  it’s  own  thing  &&  Ash�� guessed  that’s  where  it  was.  He  jumped  up  in  a  flash  &&  grabbed  Goh’s  hand,  dragging  him  along.  

                              ❝  Well, what are we waiting for?! Let’s go! I don’t wanna miss it!!  ❞

            He was too excited  about  this!  Pikachu  &&  Raichu’s  egg  was  something  everyone  had  been  looking  forward  to  ever  since  they’d  found  it!

'  alola  !  '  kukui  can't  help  the  grin  crossing  over  his  face  when  ash  answered  the  phone.  burnet  and  lio  were  out  for  an  appointment  ,  but  he  has  some  well  wishes  that  burnet  had  promised  him  to  share.  '  from  all  of  us  here  ,  congrats  on  making  it  to  the  masters  8  tournament  !  ' / @yoakkemae​ 

▬▬▬ ◓      Ash couldn’t help the  excitement  when  he  saw  that  Professor  Kukui  was  calling.  He  answered  the  phone  with  a  loud  &&  excited  ‘Alola!’  in  response  to  Kukui.  Ash  felt  so  touched  that  the  professor  called  to  congratulate  him;  he  knew  they  were  all  busy  there.  But  he  supposed  that  was  family.  Always  lookin’  out  for  one  another  even  when  they  weren’t  there.  

                                  ❝  Thanks so much, Professor! I’m real excited! I’m gonna win it all!  ❞
