𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝: 

aether jumped a bit as the garment was placed around his shoulders, the blond smiling as he looked up to see his favorite person. "hi," he says softly, his breath coming out in white puffs in the early morning liyue air. he tugged the wrap tighter around his shoulders, burying his nose into the fabric.

aether took in a deep inhale of xiao's scent, the familiar smell relaxing him immediately, "i just wanted to see the sunrise," he murmurs, voice slightly muffled from where his mouth was covered. still he glances up through his lashes at the other and smiles, reaching a hand out to pat the spot next to him, "want to join me?"

aether was initially surprised at the loud smack that sounded next to his ear. it fades quickly as he tilts his head up to look at his husband hovering over him. the blond bites his bottom lip in amusement as he rests back against the wall, one hand coming up to rest against diluc's chest. "yes?" the traveler lets out, attempting to keep the laugh from his words. he's failing miserably, but aether really can't help it.

the redhaired male looks so serious and aether is impossibly endeared even more. "so serious for such a playful threat i gave," aether murmurs, going up on tiptoes to brush lips against diluc's chin. he hadn't meant it at all, just playfully stating that he would have to search for another husband if his own didn't start paying attention to him immediately. the blond knew how busy diluc was, so they really were empty words. he didn't expect diluc to take him seriously at all.

aether holds his leg, the deep incision causing blood to stain his pants. he winces and hobbles over to the empty treasure hunter's tent. the blond sits heavily down on a little stool found there, gripping his thigh as he tears at his pants. "childe," he says through gritted teeth, "he's already dead... come on, i can do this on my own but it would be easier if i had our help..."

he has gone through worse wounds in the past, the littered scars across his skin a fair testament to that, but with the adrenaline already beginning to fade slowly, it's getting harder for aether to keep his head up. "can you please come over here... gotta wrap this wound tightly. i have healing salves in my bag." aether glances to where his things are, thrown to the side during the midst of the battle. "will you get them... please?"

There are precious pieces of you that have been hidden away, recoiling in fear of more pain and rejection.
