omg me n my friend were like talking about this...so why are mc and caleb (speculative but likely) optimal for destroying each other?

so maybe josephine (and the people w jo who were testing on mc's aether core) wanted a more reliable weapon to kill mc. every time they needed her to reincarnate i think they needed a natural disaster to kill her to get her to reincarnate.

but the question is....did caleb volunteer for this? and did he do it knowingly? because it seems like caleb did not have the arm (which would likely be what made him a weapon) until after the explosion.

maybe he agreed to it before hand? before he really knew what he was going (maybe when he was a child)?

maybe he agreed to it because if anyone was going to hurt mc he needed it to be him?
