Once arriving to Mondstandt after finishing one of the requests tasked by one of the lovely residents in the city, Chrom swung by the city to report back when he spotted a familiar figure gliding around. “Traveler?” he called the other as he made his way towards them. They landed with a basket in their arm which was filled with something--an oh escaped Chrom’s lips accompanied by a shudder. The cursed plant thing--mistletoe ... Back in Ylisse, his sister made it her mission to decorate the castle hallways with this cursed plant to prank everyone. Now, he’s coming face to face with this plant. “Why ...?” an exasperated sigh. 

Apparently, there was a request to decorate--not as bothersome, the city with this plant to add some ‘spice’ to this season in Mondstandt. “Er, spicing yeah. More like causing forthtold problems because of this .. do you really have to?” the fairy (?) companion of the traveler appeared to comment on how a certain cryo guy was excited for this--kaeya, yes. “Guess I have to be careful around the city until my job is done here ... Traveler, please. Don’t decorate more of this.” with another heaved sigh, he kept on the lookout for this plant, trying his best to avoid walking alongside people. 

Quick on his feet, he reported back to the person of interest and turned to leave the city but he had to swing back the Angel’s share to meet up with Diluc for an information he was hoping the Ragnvindr’s heir to know about. If anything, that place should be the safest place, yes? There is no way traveler had set more embarrassing traps there. Who dares to decorate--vandalize the pyro swordsman establishment? 

Again, Chrom made sure to walk around fully on his guard until he reached the tavern. Ah, safety. He opened the door and walked in, eyes looking for one particular figure. Spotted. “Diluc,” Chrom nodded to the other and walked towards him. He made himself comfortable on one of the chairs across the counter, he was about to ask the other a few questions when his eyes noticed something moving up. “Hm? . . . . D ... Diluc ...did ... did traveler came here?” Diluc eyed him then scoffed asking in return if he had done something to them. Chrom shook his head and decided to not draw attention to the plant dangling right on top of their heads. Of all places .. of all places!! It’s not like he had that of a good relationship with the Ragnvindr’s heir to begin with! 

“Er, uh, so, what’s that?” he pointed to the side and quickly pushed himself up to swat that plant with the butt of his sword but as he was doing so, Diluc turned to see him fighting with the plant and asked what the hell was he doing.

“I ...sigh.. saving us from this,” another tug to bring it down to the counter. “I saw traveler hanging these outside but never thought they had the guts to hang one here too ...” nope. no kissing. unless he wants his ass to be set on fire. plus, kissing is .. only meant for people who are close to each other on a special level.

A soft chuckle escaped his lips but followed by coughing fit, “G-gosh--cough--cough...oof...I think I underestimated cleaning.” clapping his hands together, a puff of dust came out. “I just hope I am not adding to the mess.. I know basic cleaning but wow.. looking at you, you already got your side cleaned so quickly.”

Chrom looked around for something else to do, “Is there something else I can help with?”

[[someday im going to write a proper verse backstory for chrom for gen/shin but yeah. until i get my ass to play the story and not just goof around the world haha. but so far notes to keep in mind. dont burn on me on a stake genshin homies. im trying my best. with my snail speed. 

ylisse is a country. ylisstol the capital. idk how can i bring light archon (?) to this but naga archon when? the exalt is the closets or the highest vision holder?

emmeryn is the exalt in there--thus the highest and strongest vision holder.

follows chrom but ...because i can do whatever i want i want chrom to use blue flames boya. flames blessed by the light archon thats why they are blue. i cant explain further. remember the awakening ritual. i just want blue flames sobs...they would look cool for him. it seems there is no canon that one can wield two visions so i cant ...or can i say that chrom got mix of light (that does not exists in the game ehehehehe) and pyro...man. dreams can come true huh. its the rp world. unless someone who will start sending hate messages to about how i frick things up ...yeah. sue me.

hes the prince. but since ylisse is practically ..semi-peaceful after his dad screwed things up 15 years ago, it was time to go on an adventure to know other nations and their uh culture and history. sister’s order. 

boom. *insert fe7 disguise meme*  but yes he disguise as a normal adventurer and goes around to help whenever he can. he keeps his vision ...hidden-ish? cuz he does not need it most of the time. he got pure strength to cover up lmao. so nobody should know that is a prince unless they know ylisse/ his vision / or he tell them himself ...or insert that situation where someone oho prince krumb. and chrom just for the love of god why. maybe a few in mondstandt knows who is he hmm...maybe jean and diluc (keaya too i guess?) cuz diplomatic matters and such. idk. or not. haha ...

hmhm what else. still has a cool ass cape.

im all ears for thoughts. yes. he still breaks training dolls. noelle(???) training for the knight girl could use a tip or two from him lmao.

Looks at him. "I suppose you look not bad for a prince." Was he calling Chrom handsome? Maybe.

Sheathing his sword back in its place, he wiped some sweat off his forehead when he noticed the other giving him a weird scrutinizing look. “Er, is something wrong, Diluc?” what was this about now? Becoming conscious of himself, he looked around first, then eyes scanned himself to look for any strange object. Last time, there was a grass leaf tucked his blue locks and everyone kept quiet about it because it looked goofy on him. Hand ruffled through his hair as a reflex but nothing came out. 

“Okay, what is going on?” eyebrows furrowed at the silent treatment the other was giving him before he finally opened his mouth to drop that realization on him. “Huh . . . ??” his tensed shoulders slowly loosened up. Was this another jab of his? He really can’t tell when Diluc is being serious and when he is joking with him. 

Chrom crossed his arms, shifting the weight of his body on the other leg before letting out a sigh, “Why, thank you? Should I take this as a compliment or another one of your witty jokes on me? --you know, it does not matter.” waving his hand at him. Better not ask for explanation or he would use this chance to showcase his verbal prowess on him.

Sometimes, it get brushed over his head that someone is flirting with him. “Yeah, I’m strong enough to carry you if you want. Do you want? Though you can climb that tree on your own, can’t you?”

“I’m fine...” he gestured for the knight that he is alright, rubbing with his free hand the side of his head where he hit the ground. He didn’t expect the gust of winds by that monster to be this powerful to send him flying and land against the tree behind them like that. He’d usually toughen up and stand still but damn, not this time.

“Sorry, you had to cover up for me there...” shaking his head for a bit. “Are you okay?” now looking at his ally to see if he sustained any injuries in the previous battle or not.

"Chrom, this is going to sound off but, did you want to grab some dinner with me? As friends, I mean, I do not think I ever see you taking a break from wandering around, so I figured I would ask." ((Have a Cam being a caring nerd woman))

“Hm? Dinner?--” he tilted his head to her explanation. Why does she need to add that they are friends--they are friends. 

“E-eh--ah...that. Sorry to have you worried. I’m fine, Camilla. I do take naps whenever I can.” the last thing he said, his voice trailed off because it is a problem to nap anywhere he can lay down and take five. “Heh, thank you. I’d love to go have dinner with you. We’re going to Good Hunter, or somewhere else?”

“ . . . I don’t know what to feel about that.” he was supposed to get them to talk and reconcile but not like that--plotting against him together.

Promise, huh . . .  There was no immediate response to Kaeya’s request, instead Chrom darted his sight to the ground, right foot kicking one pebble to the side. He was thinking about turning the other’s request but in the end, there is nothing else to do.

“Fine . . . I promise. I promise I won’t tell Diluc that you switched his grape juice with whatever you had just poured into his cup. But I’ll have you know, if I was going down, you will go down with me. This drink you put won’t harm him, right?”

( From Kaeya! ) “Ah, you’re still up at this hour?” A voice calls out, quieter than normal given how most were asleep by this time within the city. There’s a smile on the captain’s lips as he joins Chrom’s side, and he eyes the other in a subtle sort of curiosity. “If you can’t sleep, why not join me on a stroll around Mondstadt?”

The wind in Mondstadt is truly different--it feels fresher and tastier if he can say that. He found himself occasionally sitting in the fountain area to enjoy the said wind and if there were people going about, to observe their interactions. In a way, Mondstadt is no different to Ylisstol; the two towns have a couple of similarities so he does not feel that out of place. 

A low voice caught him off guard, whipping his head to who spoke to him. “Ah, Kaeya...” he watched the other circle around to stand beside him, gesturing to follow him if he is willing. “It felt such a waste not to admire this serenity” a crime some other might see it. “A stroll? That sounds good. Lead the way.” hands clapped over his knees as he got up. “On patrol?” he asked, assuming that the captain was still up at this hour because of work. “Don’t let me disturb your work if so.”

Nyanluc purrs, rubbing his velvet fur against Chrom's legs as he looks up at him with wide and big kitty eyes. "Mao?" He wants to eat strawberries.

“Hm?” Chrom looked down to spot the red cat rubbing against his legs. The cat kind of does not show affection unless he wants something out of Chrom and bullseye. Despite how it sounds, Chrom finds it endearing in its own way. “Yes, Nyanluc? How can I help you today? Do you want to nap?” Chrom crouched down reaching to softly scratch the cat’s head. “Ahh, you want to eat?...hmm... more fruits I guess?”

The young man got up and walked towards the kitchen, looking for the fruit basket. He picked a mandarin and showed it to Nyanluc, “Want this?” but the cat hissed at it. “No it is. This?” showing an apple but the cat hissed again. “Ah, you want a strawberry if you don’t want neither of these.” then Nyanluc purred louder rubbing against his head more. “Got it.” Chrom picked some strawberries, washed them properly and went to sit down to cut the strawberries into small pieces for his feline friend over here. “Happy?” he placed the strawberries down for the cat to eat. “Enjoy.”

Little did he know that he will be dragged into this party. Chrom would rather spend his time on something more practical than be crammed in a room full of people, drinking and eating. Having fun is nice and all but not when he barely know anyone in the room. Yes, he helped taking down some baddies and suddenly he found himself part of this organization. It is not bad on its own, its just... there are a lot of blank dots to be filled but for now, he is satisfied with helping others.

Across the room, he noticed a familiar face--probably the only one so far, Diluc’s. Chrom was about to wave for the other and perhaps find a spot to stand near him to not be awkward standing on his own when suddenly Diluc blow a kiss to Chrom which made him FREEZE in his place. Eyes shifted quickly left and right, before turning his head to the back to check if the recipient just happen to be behind him--that would be so awkward if he reacted to something not meant to him! But nope. There was no one, well there were but none were looking directly at Diluc. Chrom slowly, like a rusted robot, turned his head back to the red head, index pointed at him in confusion and mouthed, ‘me?’  

Now he feels extremely out of the place. What is he supposed to do now? Brush it off? ignore Diluc? walk away? what? His mind drawing blank on what he was supposed to do so he did the first thing felt...right. He blow a kiss back to Diluc. Safe to say, he was panicking in the inside. Was this a tradition here?

Well, that was certainly impressive push from that monster. He let his guard for just for a second to get pushed violently by a Mitachurls. Good thing his built can withstand such a force but it certainly was a surprise nonetheless.

Up on his feet, he staggered for a moment trying to regain his balance when a voice rang then a soft aura surrounded him, healing the scratches and wounds on him. Chrom looked to the source of the healing magic to see a tall man coming to his aid. Another adventure? That’s a relief. 

“Thank you, my friend. It could have gotten a little bit dicey here. Can I ask you to watch over that merchant while I take care of our friend over there?” fighting and protecting someone is not easy. “Chrom,” he nodded to him. “Thanks again.”
