Manga-ish art style practice 1/?

But she could see how Bellara might like it. Presumably, while danger followed her clan, there were softer moments, too. Happy nights, spent around campfires, playing games with her brother...

Jealousy shot through her, but she clamped it down, grinning at the elf instead. Wasn't like it was Bellara's fault Carolina's life had been terrible.

Someone asked me a while ago how I think KFS will handle Devi's ending, specifically when it comes to her descendants due to the differences in routes. This wouldn't really be a big deal, but KCD already establishes the presence of a Sharma heir (Avur Sharma) meaning that she has to find a way to continue her bloodline one way or another. It's buried in my inbox somewhere, but I can try sharing two of my guesses!

To start off, I really don't think Avur is Anil's descendent since he marries Radha Basu. The Basus are a matriarchal family so Anil and his children wouldn't be considered Sharmas anymore. Indira also doesn't have any siblings as far as I remember either

This isn't my theory, but someone on Reddit said that the book went out of its way to mention Kairas was a "womanizer" and therefore theorized that he has a secret child out there who could become the next Sharma heir? Idk how to feel about that one tbh

Maybe it's a route-based thing? So, if Devi is on the Legacy route, she has to have her own heir but on the Freedom route she has more leeway? On the Saraswati route, this could be surrogacy of some kind depending on which male LI she has the strongest friendship with?? I'm assuming there will also be a Freedom route option where she is less present among the Dozen or cuts herself off entirely since it's a Remy book (which would negate this entire question ofc)

EXTREMELY unlikely but the lineage continues through Leela if Devi legally and officially declares her to be the next Sharma heir. It's unconventional and a bit of a stretch but it fits in line with Devi's story (I just want to adopt Leela and spoil her in riches ok let me be). I don't know how this would work if she does choose to have her own children, but this would be so cute on the SaraswatiDevi route
