“  i've  gotten  a  couple  already,  but  the  night's  still  young,  so  i'm  sure  there'll  be  more.  ”  after  all,  the  mayor's  house  has  always  been  a  hotspot;  all  the  kids  in  town  know  how  generous  he  can  be,  none  of  that  please  take  one  bullshit  here.  “  everyone's  definitely  stepped  their  game  up  from  last  year,  makes  me  feel  like  i've  won  a  game  every  time  i  guess  one  right.  ”

"Have you been getting a lot of trick or treaters tonight?" Savannah asked. Despite them living in a small town, she could only hope that people would want to keep the magic of the holiday alive and well. "I gotta say, I have been seeing a lot of creative costumes tonight, so it can be hard to pinpoint who they exactly are."

“  well,  i  can't  blame  you.  free  candy  is  free  candy,  ”  the  excitement  of  trick  or  treating  never  really  goes  away,  even  now  as  an  adult  nathan  misses  donning  a  costume  and  going  door  to  door  on  halloween  night  like  he  did  as  a  child.  “  well,  i  do  see  it  now  that  you  mention  it  —  though  that's  entirely  on  me.  i've  been  really  bad  at  recognizing  costumes  this  year.  maybe  i'm  just getting  too  old,  ”  he  jokes.

"More than likely," Savannah lets out an awkward giggle as she holds out her Halloween tote bag that she had personally decorated for the holiday. This time of year was the girl's favorite, Halloween through Christmas. It brought her so much joy and she was trying to feel like a little kid again, even just for a few hours. "I was trying to go for a zombie cheerleader? Is it not that obvious?"
