[N2] ミステリと言う勿れ（なかれ）

It's been a few years since I started this manga series about a student who is accused of murder and brought to the station where he instead turns the investigation around and becomes involved into more mysteries against his will.

It has full furigana but complex vocabulary. I would recommend it primarily to readers with abilities about JLPT N2.

I'm reblogging my own review from when I read the first volume because there's currently a promotion on Bookwalker Japan and you can read the first five volumes of the series for free! HOWEVER the deal is only valid until tomorrow... But if you like the mystery/detective genre, a tight deadline and free manga definitely check it out!

冬が本領発揮しだしましたね〜⛄️極寒！

寒いと体調崩したりメンタル落ち込んだりヤル気失ったり冬眠モード入ったりするので体を万全の状態に戻すのが大変ですよね…(いつも万全じゃない気がするが←

先日パネルヒーターを購入して大正解だったかもしれません！！想像以上にでかくて存在感めちゃくちゃあるんですが←

コタツみたいにとっても温かくてもうそこから動けそうにないくらいの包容力を感じました〜笑

すぐに壊れない事を祈るばかりです。

ネトフリでまた色々観たので備忘録残しておきます〜

「ザファーストスラムダンク」

色々と話題になっていた劇場版スラムダンク。今回りょーちんが主人公だったんですね。私は子供の頃にアニメ見てて、スーファミでスラムダンクのゲームを遊んだり中2で流川楓に本気で恋をしたり←、大人になってコミック読んだりとスラムダンクの知識は少しありましたが、まーーー泣けましたね←

りょーちんのお兄ちゃんの事もお母さんの喪失感も見てて悲しくて辛くて、りょーちんの寂しさとか悔しさとか努力を見て勇気もらったよねー。

一つだけ、やっぱり声優さん問題が…アニメを見て育った世代としては違和感ありまくりで最後まで馴染めなかったですね…

「シティーハンター」

シティーハンター世代ではないので内容については全く知らなかったのですが、鈴木亮平と安藤政信見たさで鑑賞しました。

安藤政信さんが序盤で退場してしまって悲しみにくれ、今回の鈴木亮平は役柄なのか何なのかナルシズムMAXな感じでしたね。

でもやっぱり体型とか筋肉とか声が好きなんだよねぇ。精霊の守人でもかっこよかったけど、シティーハンターもかっこよかったです。

(ただちょっとお下品なキャラが…残念

「三体」

世界を救う系のSFで面白そう！！と思ったんだけど、1話目からちんぷんかんぷん。我慢して4話くらいまで見たけど、ギブアップしました。

元は中国の小説らしいですね。

VRみたいなのを装着してゲーム世界へ行って答えを見つけられたら世界も救えるって話も少しも理解できず。

原作が私の心の師匠、田村由美さんの漫画なのですが。ドラマも面白かったけど映画も面白かったです！

田村由美さんの漫画は、人生における自分とは異なる視点や多角的な考え方をいつも教えてくれる気付きの多い作品だなと感じて大好きなのですが。

ついに世の中にみつかってしまったか😏って感じですよね

ヤンキーものは避けていた人間なのですが、何となく見る気になって一気に観ましたw

コミックを少しかじった程度だったのだけど、実写は面白くて最後どうなるんだ！？ってかなり気になりました。

(つまり実写3本あっても問題は未解決のまま途中で終わりました

原作では中学生の話なんだよね。まずそこ無理ありすぎるよね。ほんで声がもう中学生じゃない笑

そしてよくよく考えると何故40代の私が中学生にさん付けしてるんだろう…と冷静になると少しわろてまうわ←

アニメ一期はどこのサブスクでも見れるのですが、2〜3期はDisney+じゃないと見れないらしいのでネトフリが終わったら次はDisney+に入ろうかなと思っております

(話題のSYOUGUN将軍とガンニバルが観たい

あとはスカイハイ・ちゃんみなプロデュースのガールズグループオーディション番組「ノーノーガールズ」をちょこちょこ見てました。

ちゃんみなさんの事ほぼ知らなくて、ギャルってイメージしかなかったのですがこの番組を見てイメージがガラッと変わりました。なんならこの番組はちゃんみなさんを見る為に見てたくらいです←

トリリンガルで歌も上手くて話す言葉とか人間力みたいなものが26歳とは思えないほどかなりしっかりと自分を持ってて、苦労してきたこその他者への思い遣りとかオーディションの子達への深い愛情が見ててすごい人だな…と感じていました。

一言で言うなら人生2周目の人なんだろうな←

くらいの尊敬の眼差しです。

あとはちゃんみなさんの声の出し方が気持ちよくていいなと思います

私が合格して欲しかった子は残念ながらいなかったけど…

NiziUの時みたいに、オーディション番組でファンになった人達はこれからもどんどん成長して色んな顔を見せていくこのHANAの子達を見守っていくのでしょうね。

東リべもそうだけど、色んな作品、色んな人を知る事で自分の価値観、世界を広げる事ができると思います。

2025年は自分の偏見や制限をなるべく無くして、新しい価値観を見つけていきたいです。

これは自分には難しいかも、向いてないかも、似合わないかも、今の自分には無理かも、そういった頭の中の制限をな���して、したいこと、楽しみたいこと、ワクワクすることを考える前に行動していいきたいです。そんな一年にしていきたいと思います

Context: this is a hostage situation. One of the guys is asking everyone what their worst way to die would be (to pass the time). Ippei (light hair glasses guy) is like: I'd hate to die drowning. One time I was dropped into water as a kid. Ugh, horrible.

Guy with knife: I see-

Totonou (curly hair guy): When you're drowning you're not supposed to lift your arms. Or so they say. The reason for this is that when you're floating in water, only 2% of your body sticks out. Basically, if you lift arms, your hands will be that 2% and your face won't come out the surface. So the secret is to float in such a way that your face forms part of the 2%.

Ippei: wow... really? 😳 👉👈 WITH THE FREAKING SPARKLES. I love this manga. It has amazing faces. The lines are so scrumbly or something. The main character figuratively never stops talking. He goes off on long tirades and looks super cool for it.

Don't Call It Mystery Volume 3-4: Family Affairs

A little late to the party, but I recently read the latest volume of Don't Call It Mystery. Remaining such a unique concept, it continues to deliver on the promise of its name, and of Tamura's writing style as we get into full swing with the mystery of a family's fight for inheritance. Oddly enough, not a world of stuff I want to discuss, but more than a bit that I think can sway potential readers.

First and foremost, it's deliverance on the concept implied by the title. It's, simply put, wonderfully executed upon. In the very first panel where a mystery "starts", you are already clued into who the perpetrator is. There is no attempts to "mask" the mystery or mislead the reader as to who or what could be behind the scenes.

Instead, the focus remains on the character arcs of those involved. Casting a wide net, Tamura delves into the hearts of all the characters through the mystery. Rather than the mystery unraveling, it's the exterior of the cast as layer upon layer is peeled back to expose the deeper inner workings of each individual and how it relates to the mystery.

A girl frustrated with the death of her father and how her cousins treated it, the son that despised his absent mother, the daughter bearing the weight of family upon her shoulders. Each of the cast has their own past, their own troubles that exist and are expressed through their actions and personality, and it's beyond excellent. The characters are explained so succinctly yet explored so deeply it almost feels paradoxical.

Perhaps the best of all the points however, is how the characters continue to be a vehicle for the self-projection of Totonou. Not every moment is a callback to his character, but there are very much moments where he begins to speak and it's understood that he's overlapping his trauma and past with that of the characters involved. It's honestly such a clever way to create depth for his character while allowing the focus to remain on the rotating cast in front of him. Tamura drip feeds readers bits and pieces of his past through the characters that appear in front of him. How he views his father, the struggles that existed with his mother, his experience in school and with people. It's incredibly well written.

Speaking of well written, the mysteries themselves. They're not really mysteries but with how deeply they're written and expressed, surely a great deal of it goes over the heads of readers at times. Tamura writes these stories with 2,3, even 4 layers of information and references before you can catch onto the first. Thankfully, Totonou explains all these layers rather effectively, but nonetheless it creates truly impressive re-read potential to see just how these snippets of references and information relate to the characters surrounding them.

At the end of it all, Don't Call It Mystery is an incredibly therapeutic work, thanks to a pair of promises that Tamura makes with readers: that it's not a mystery, and that the characters will be thoughtfully explored and opened up through the process. It creates something devoid of the typical tension and weight of a mystery, and instead replaces it with the thoughtfulness of a passionate conversation, of which Totonou engages in many throughout this volume. An endlessly satisfying and oddly relaxing read, I'm quite looking forward to the next volume(s).

I'm not very familiar with recent jdramas or young jp actors, but I recognize the veteran cast of Mystery to Iunakare! I've seen them from 2000-2015 dramas and they are great! I love their guest/special appearances in all the Mystery live adaptations so far.

僕には大正琴が聞こえる映画「ミステリと言う勿れ」を観た❣️ かなり素晴らしかった♫テレビシリーズとの繋がりはしっかりと保ちつつ。横溝正史の「犬神家の一族」ばりに田舎にある謎の多い裕福な「狩集（かりあつまり）」一族の遺産相続の場に連れ込まれるモジャモジャ天然パーマの久能整（菅田将暉）。 柴咲コウ、滝藤賢一、松坂慶子、野間口徹、松下洸平、でんでん、鈴木保奈美、角野卓造、段田安則、原菜乃華、など豪華なキャストにテレビシリーズでの伊藤沙莉、尾上松也、筒井道隆、永山瑛太も登場。 更に「犬神家の一族」ばりに終盤に松嶋菜々子も！ あとは大正琴のテーマ曲でも出てくればサイコーのリスペクトだね。 いつも通りストーリーに捻りがあり楽しい。 いつも通り久能整くんの話は考えさせられる。 いつも通り人の心、子どもへの温かい視線、が良かった。 オススメします❣️ #犬神家の一族 #大正琴 #ミステリと言う勿れ
