     Indeed this was a strange world Orochi had made, and Fuxi had not yet worked out its twists and turns, its pushes and pulls. He had descended here to right the wrongs he had committed against these humans. With the release of Da Ji, he had unwittingly made himself a major accessory to the demons’ crimes - and crimes against humanity were inexcusable offences.

     Though he travelled with the mystic army, Susano’o and he had their disagreements. The man was too stubborn, viewing the humans as fragile and stupid, swatting them aside even as he tried to save them. However, Fuxi wished to see how the humans were handling the situation - what they were capable of. Perhaps it was his sentiment for the creatures he had helped create, but there had to be something going on here that he was unaware of. 

     That is how he found himself alone when he chanced upon a troupe of demons - they had not spied him yet, but it seemed they were preoccupied. A flash of colour among them reveals the presence of a mortal, seemingly captured and being transported by the surrounding group.

     A troupe that size would be no trouble for him, and so Fuxi reveals himself with a shout, charging the group. Ready to punish these demons as fit.

The two mystics had gotten themselves into something of a situation. Fuxi occupied by one of Gyūki’s doubles, and Nüwa managing to barely keep the snake demons off them, when help comes from above. What appears to be a dart of fire hits the boar demon’s back, exploding in a shower of liquid flame that drizzles all about them. The behemoth goes down screaming, but what hits the two mystics is not quite strong enough to seriously harm them.     Fuxi, grateful for the help and stunned for only a moment, laughs it off and (after putting out a small fire on his cloak) continues slashing his way through the horde. 

   “Not bad! So you mortals can use sorcery!”

   Nüwa is less impressed, “enough fooling around, true magic is not so sloppy. Cast those things away from us!”
