hot mess and tiny satan for the meme thing c:
[ Send me a ship and I’ll tell you who… ]
oops I forgot about this before I went on mini-hiatus. Sorry Nat
001. . . . kills the spider: Ling Tong, assuming Xun’s birds don’t get to it first.
002. . . . proposed: I can imagine gongji going on some lengthy nervous spiel about how much he appreciates their relationship and he’ll always be there for xun and such. Then xun sees through it completely and just tells him yes.
003. . . . kissed the other first: Ling Tong is leaving that up to Xun. Gongji’s the type who gets straight into the physical stuff in a relationship - like, the first date or even beforehand - but he knows Xun reeeeeally isn’t, so he’s letting him set the pace. He’d either let Xun make the first move, or only do it himself when he’s absolutely certain.
004. . . . initiates things: See above. This strangely results in xun being the more initiative one. That doesn’t stop gongji from occasionally testing the waters with a benign quip or joke.
005. . . . would leave the other: Gongji is always going to be there for Xun, whether that be as his partner or simply under his command. I mean he already works alongside Gan Ning so. he might get a bit mopey if xun broke up with him though.
006. . . . is more jealous: Gongji is the flirtatious type, with everyone except the people actually interested in him uh but he’d probably tone it down if xun asked him to. I can imagine xun having a (half-joking) word or two for him if he goes too far.
007. . . . is lazier: Gongji, definitely. He works hard when he needs to, but he tends to sleep in or climb up a tree to relax for a bit when he’s got some downtime, while Xun is a workaholic around the clock.
008. . . . sends weird texts at 3 AM: Gongji, but Xun can get in a mood when he’s sleep deprived and / or overworked uh
009. . . . is more experienced: Gongji, but he’s only had casual flings, xun is his first serious relationship.
010. . . . said i love you first: Gongji, he fell fast and hard and probably blurted it out unthinkingly

┆📚┆┇┇ February is approaching its end, but the cold is still as cruel as at its beginning. It is too much for a weak, dying body to handle; fire, heavy blankets, closed rooms with no windows-- every possible way to keep the freezing air out has failed. He can feel the cold eating off his very bones. It is agonizing, and his tired; his pale face stands a witness to it, but he says nothing-- not a word, not a hum, nothing. Everything is just..dull.
Just as he is about to close his eyes again and sink into what he and everyone around him thought a deep sleep, his sight catches something: a woman. She is dressed in red, but she’s not from around here. ❛ Who ar--- ❜ Before he gets the chance to ask, his chest tightens more than ever before, he tries to gasp for air, but the success is less with each attempt. Oh but he knows now. He’s parting this world and joining his ancestors.
Everyone, except a couple of maidens, rush out to call for the physician responsible for the young prince’s health and to inform his father. Not long after, he calms down; it’s easier to let a few words now. ❛ Who are you? ❜ Indeed, he sounds crazy to the people around him, but why a trivial thing would matter to a dead boy anyway.

Today, there was a very unusual guest inside the training camp. Two women were said to be sent from the palace to become a part of the special medical unit. Clad in their beautiful robes and stringed instruments, a tent was set up for them. There were only a few soldiers who qualified enough to be let in that tent and the lucky soldiers soon spread word about the two beauties who ‘healed’ them.
In reality, Yueliang’s teacher stayed with her for a few weeks before leaving. This is a part of her training. “A simple singer can amuse people but an extraordinary one can also calm storms. Can you do that, my precious student?”, was the challenge left to her.
There wasn’t a lot of ‘patients’ assigned to their tent. In terms of patient, it simply means soldiers who have lost their morale. Most of them couldn’t sleep so they’re here to recover from the shock. It wasn’t that physically tiring but her mental state also would have to be strong.
Their tent was a solitary one. No one was allowed to approach it without the necessary papers so she did her job quietly. She knew that there was some sort of birthday party going on but she thought it would be rude to suddenly join without a proper invitation.
The men’s silly singing brought a smile to her lips. Sitting on one of the beds, she hummed softly as she started to take off her hair accessories one by one. To her surprise, the tent flap was raised by a man who was holding a plateful of food.

“Visiting hours are over, sir. I am afraid that you’ll have to come early tomorrow morning if you would like to check on your friend.“

(for the mun's deep questions meme) 1, 7, 14, 24
Mun’s Ask: Deep Questions Edition || @avianflame || Accepting!
1) What’s one thing you would want to change about yourself?
(( I guess…maybe I’d like to trust people a little bit more. It’s difficult, though —– given what I’ve experienced and what I’ve watched happen to other people (both irl and on Tumblr), there’s a lot holding me back. ^^; It’s all too easy for people to manipulate and use each other, or to twist someone’s words to make them sound like the bad guy, or to seem admirable and like leaders on the outside before revealing that they’re really selfish and two-faced inside. So…I feel bad whenever people on here tell me that I can always talk to them about things, because I know that I’m most likely never going to take them up on their offer. ^^; It’s not their fault…it’s just that it’s me who has trouble trusting people. XD And besides —– I wouldn’t really want to burden other people with my problems. ))
7) What’s the best advice you could give to anyone about life?
(( Haha, I don’t think that someone as young and inexperienced as me has any right to give people life advice, but I’ll try my best. XD Hmm…I guess some good advice would be that everything passes eventually. For good things, that means that you should enjoy them while you can. And for bad things, that means that you just have to keep enduring them until they (hopefully) go away, or you’re able to overcome them. ))
14) What does it take for someone to earn your respect?
(( That’s a pretty difficult question to answer, actually. It’s pretty easy to lose respect for someone, but it’s difficult to gain it. Hmm…I guess, if you’re true to yourself and really honest about your feelings and opinions and stuff, that might be one way to earn my respect ? ^^ That’s not really something that I can do myself —– I always find myself trying to please people and agree with everyone and avoid conflict. XD Maybe another thing would be if someone is always nice and welcoming to other people without expecting to get something out of them in return. Also, just displaying basic etiquette can help, too. ^^ You’d be surprised how many people don’t say ‘please’ or ‘thank you’, or ignore hard work and demand to know why you didn’t do even more, or don’t throw away their trash after they’re finished eating, or drive through a crosswalk while someone’s still walking in it…and so on and so forth. Hmm…there’s probably some other things that would earn my respect, but that’s all that I can think of for right now. XD ))
24) Is there anything you love about yourself?
(( I like how I’m a good listener. ^^ I definitely don’t have any talent when it comes to talking to / persuading other people, but I feel like I’m good at hearing other people out. I can recall a couple times in my life when people I hardly even knew confessed a secret to me, so I guess maybe people feel comfortable around me, to some extent ? I’m also happy with how I’m doing in school and with my writing on here so far. I’ve gotten mostly A’s and B’s in college so far, and I’ve been volunteering in a lab for a few months now. And it’s usually a ton of fun writing stuff on Katsuie’s blog, whether it’s threads or asks or headcanons or whatever. XD I guess I’m glad that I’m organized and a hard worker, too —– otherwise, my busy schedule probably would’ve killed me by now. XD ))

❁* ░ Grinding something in a stone bowl, her gaze occasionally lifted from her work and followed people walk by the small backdoor deck before the tearoom. Weather was just fine, not too cold for a late evening. Some of the high spirited talk carried through the complexion to her small spot. Praising the master for tea she prepared the leaves for. Feedback was second handed, but she didn’t reach the stars. Macha was happy to find a purpose in civil life. A nice change for a life style she used to live. While working for her bread, she could help their army to arise.
Remaining in a knelt position, she lifted the bowl for a closer look. The scent, the texture. She turned and shifted it without looking even slightly satisfied about it. Still not the result she wanted. Placing down it down, her set of sad eyes stopped at another pair - almost startling her. Not that she minded company Perhaps there was something about casual work that caught attention. Recalling, this young man was one of the higher ranks, as introduced.
❝ Oh. Interested in tea? Most men seem to be more into wine. ❞ She sounded almost upset about the fact but chuckled herself, sweeping the bangs off her eyes. ❝ Well, once I get this done. It should have vital traits for the injured. Perhaps even the most hardened wine drinkers shall make a change to better. ❞

A bump followed by an abrupt stop was the first indication that something was wrong. Though not entirely forced out of her seat, Jingmian was startled enough to place her hands on the walls to her left and right. It did not take much to piece together that the carriage was spontaneously halted, although the reason was not immediately apparent.
Leaning forward, Jingmian peered out the window to see what was the holdup, but she reeled back with a gasp as she saw what it was – bandits. They had ambushed the carriage, knocking out ( at least she hoped so ) the driver and the guards. This ambush must have been particularly planned if they were able to overcome guards personally selected by the Sun family.
Even so, besides a brief glance or two from each brigand – there must have been seven of them, although she did not look long enough to count – they did not look expectingly at the coach. It did not appear they knew she was there. Did they think they actually highjacked a cache? That must have been the case because, without any clear effort of making an exchange with her, they quietly took reign and drove her away.
Hunched over, Jingmian attempted to keep herself hidden. She focused on trying to take deep, hushed breaths in order to keep herself calm. Impulsively, she wanted to bolt out the door on the back end of the carriage, but logic – and a stronger impulse to stay safe – kept her in place, as she could hear footsteps following the rear as well. At the very least, she was only an hour outside Guangling, so someone might notice the suspicious traversing.
Until then, the vehicle she previously resided in with content became her prison.

Cautious of the uneven ground, Ma Dai would saunter forth - an expression of pure delight painted upon his features, coated with a soft pink glow from the overwhelming cold that surrounded him. He would shift weight from one foot to the next, attempting to retain some form of stealth - yet, the slippery ground beneath his feet teased at giving away his position. Even so, he would press forward - not allowing the blanket of snow to prevent him from this task; or rather, not permitting it to hinder him, twice. The strategist-in-training had been requested to travel beyond the borders of his homeland, deep into the land of the potential allies found within the Wu Kingdom. Upon his arrival, he had sought the favour of those who held the ability to strengthen - or compromise - the rather dubious alliance between Wu and Shu.
In the event the outcome appeared favourable, he were to stay - offering the assistance of himself and the few thousand he had brought with him, within the cold winter months. If the situation appeared unfavourable, he had been instructed to gather intelligence which may assist them in an upcoming battle. As, it had been certain that their alliance would crumble at some point. He wished otherwise, of course - for he had come to be on a friendly basis with a few soldiers. Yet, he remained true to his own Lord, to his Cousin, and to the Chancellor - he would strike against Wu without remorse, should the time come.
However, all had been derailed at the sudden coming of a storm - all had been covered in white, all roadways blocked and he dared not brave the mountain-paths with so few of his own men. Still unknowing his position, or rather, the position of Shu and Wu - he had been uncertain on how to proceed. In addition to this, he knew that Cao Cao lay not too far North. He'd received word within a day of leaving the border, that he had not been the only one marching toward Wu. He had been able to scout the navy-clad troops upon his path, yet knew he was in no position to attack them. Battle, it seemed, loomed. Regardless of what would come of is visit - yet, if he could assist in securing the alliance and help defend Wu, they would owe Shu. Be it against Sun or Cao, Ma Dai would have preferred to be placed at the side of his cousin. Unrest boiled within him, for he knew his cousin would march forth at any chance of defeating Cao Cao. Even so, Ma Dai had been in a place he disliked the most - separated from those he called his friends, and in the territory of one who could become an enemy at the slightest moment. He hadn't known of all military matters within Wu - it had been certain that such matters would be concealed from himself, as an outsider - yet, he feared that with the overwhelming snow that fell upon the realm, that food supply would be cut short for all. It seemed the had not been the only one to be concerned of the matter, for morale had begun to drop - he had noticed it within his own men, and his current allies.
It had lead him to his current situation - several paces from the talented Lu Xun, whom he crept upon, cautiously. He had intended to sound out the strategist and seek to learn from him, sharing their knowledge and perhaps finding himself a friend in the middle of all the gloom. As he had approached, unpleasant thoughts seemed to shift from his mind.
First, he would adjust the morale.
A hand encased within a thick, winter-glove would raise to the hat upon his head to remove such with ease. Hastening his steps toward Lu Xun, a playful hook around his torso would be attempted, to try to pull the young man back toward himself. If able, it would bring him to the perfect angle for Ma Dai to plop his giant hat upon the strategist's head. "Hey there~ You're looking fairly doom-and-gloom! You know, if you don't have anyone special to look after you," he would not-so-subtly hint with a playful bump of his elbow against Lu Xun's side, "Big Brother Ma Dai will have to lend you his hat to keep you warm!"
#avianflame#{{ ok so this could go either really fluffy or really angsty }}#{{ i just wanted cute bro relations but then it got srs }}#{{ he was just suppost to put his hat on xun and this happened im sorry }}#{{ also idk this follows 0 actual canon plotline this was just fun }}#{{ ignore if you want bb }}#{{ also it's 1am and tumblr is acting up so admittedly this is not the best work ;; }}

ooh my url, if you're still doing it? :0
My Opinion on;
Character in general: Lu Xun is pretty neutral with me. I certainly enjoy playing him from time to time but there are other times I don’t really care to play as him. Lu Xun is quite quick on his feet which I like especially if I want to play through a map quickly. The man is smart and cunning just like all the other strategists and I do believe he’s got an edge over Zhou Yu.
How they play them: Who decided to give you Lu Xun’s brain to use? Like wow, it’s like sitting in class trying not to have my brain overload with all the strategies. Sizzling is what use I’ll use because their portrayal of Lu Xun is on fire. If you’re not careful you’ll certainly get burned with how amazing they are with the fiery strategist.
The Mun: I’ve never spoken to the mun really except for small planning here and there but they are really friendly and I’m sure they’d be a great friend. Much respect to you!
Do I:
RP with them: Not recently but of course! Wu for life!
Want to RP with them: Most certainly
What is my;
Overall Opinion: I love your flawless writing and stunning portrayal. Gordon Ramsay can’t even get near this type of fire. Keep up the fantastic work and bring us to victory will you?
**Note: Mun’s answer are all to be completely honest. Don’t send url if you don’t want brutal honesty

@avianflame : start
Lu Xun was dead. It was odd to think about.
Or as Taigong Wang put it, ‘in a state of being both alive and dead, until we either find him or do not,’ whatever that was supposed to mean. But there was a way to save him, and that’s all that mattered. However, it hinged on somebody in the camp having a memory that could be used. More and more of his friends and allies had been rescued, and yet there was a jarring absence where the very last of them should be. All throughout their battles, the thought of Lu Xun had occupied his mind. Every new ally rescued was a potential lead, in every battle of the past he was alive out there, somewhere, and it was infuriating.
His none-too-subtle questioning every new ally was causing people to catch on quick. Yet he knew his fellows in Wu were concerned for the young strategist as well - though among the strategizing and diplomacy there was little time for a full out investigation. Perhaps Lu Xun could not be saved, trapped with whatever fate had befallen him. He’d almost resigned himself to it when he overhears a throwaway comment in camp from Cao Pi of all people. And he’s immediately ready to set out, practically dragging a ragtag team of volunteers (not that they really had a choice) behind him, and Cao Pi is naturally happy enough to pawn the job off to the far more enthusiastic Wu quintet (not that he really had a choice, either).
It is at Hefei - where else. The entire group had less than pleasant memories of the place, but they all refuse to let themselves be daunted - they had a mission to achieve. There, it is a matter of splitting up - and as if by some stroke of fate, Ling Tong is the one to find him, in a supply base packed with enemies. Among the grey scales and dark armour of the snake demons, Ling Tong spies a flutter of bright red coattails that could belong only to one man.
“Lord strategist!” he hops off his horse, hitting the ground at a run. “Lu Xun!”
He fights like a man possessed, anything to break Lu Xun out of that mob. Several demons at Lu Xun’s rear receive skull-crushing blows from Ling Tong’s nunchaku, another gets a kick to the face. Clearing just enough space for him to take a stand, back to Lu Xun and facing his assailants.
“Thought you could use some reinforcements!”
