Hungry Ghost Festival, one of the most happening events in Penang, and particularly this one in Bukit Mertajam is very popular among the locals. I forgot since which year onwards, I would come all the way to pay my respect during this month. (at 大山脚伯公埕大士爷)

One of the largest Hungry Ghost festivals celebrate in Bukit Mertajam, Malaysia. It was a 100-year-old tradition for the community to start the 15-day festival on the third day untill the 15th day of the seventh lunar month. The devotees will worship the "Tai Su Yeah" (King of Hades) in the form of paper effigies, built by experienced craftsman without the help from the machine. 【大山脚伯公埕粿什】 大山脚伯公埕百年老字号粿什，清晨还未亮就已有顾客上门光顾，在大山脚可说是无人不晓！顾名思义，这里卖的汤面以粿条为主，用大猪骨熬汤，配料有猪肝，猪皮，猪肚等等。而粿什汤跟大山脚其他档口不同的是，，这里的汤底没那么浓稠，比较清爽，不过却散发着浓浓的古早味。 地址：大山脚伯公埕 Jalan Pasar, 14000 Bukit Mertajam penang 营业时间：每天5am – 11am， 6pm – 11pm 槟城 吃喝玩乐！
