上体を後ろに伸ばす体操 ①基本体位から両すねを開いてお尻を床につけ、割り坐で坐ります。 ②肘を片方ずつ床につきます。肘に体重をかけながら、ゆっくり上体を後ろに傾けていきます。後頭部が床についたら背中を徐々に床におろし、両腕は体に沿って伸ばします（図８）。手はお腹の上で組んでもよいです。 ③目を閉じて意識を眉間か体の一部に置いて、この体位を保ちます。 ④腰を痛めないように片足ずつそっと膝を立てて腰をゆるめます。緊張をほぐすために、腰を左右にゆらしたり、両膝を両腕で抱えるのもよいでしょう。その後、シャバ・アーサナ（屍の体位）で全身をゆるめます。
