The return of the spidery font, and one of my favorite kanji! The surname 稲葉 is read Inaba, and it belongs to about 73,500 people.

稲, a kanji that I love, means rice plant. It's read いね, いな, トウ, or テ. The major radicals are 禾 two-branch tree, and 旧 former/old.

葉 means leaf. It can also refer to a blade/spear, needle, plane, lobe, fragment, or piece. It’s read は or ヨウ.

Also, 葉 【よう】 is sometimes used as a counter for flat objects. Generally, it's more common to use 枚 【まい】 for flat things of any size (stamps, T-shirts, boards, whatever), but you might see 葉 used for flat objects that are small and thin, especially if they have sentimental value. For example, it's standard to count a postcard or a photo as 一枚 【いちま���】 , but you can also use 一葉 【いちよう】 to convey a sense of nostalgia or attachment to the object or the person it's associated with.
