筒井　でも、私は今回のオーディションで歌い方を変えたんですよ。何度もオーディションを受けてるんですけど、私はたぶん、どのグループにも入れない人なんだと思って。

それからお母さんと話して、どこが足りないのかを研究して、今回のオーディションでは歌い方を変えて合格することができたんです。だから、お母さんがいなかったら入れてなかったんじゃないかと思います。

──お母さんからもアドバイスがあったんですね。歌い方はどんな部分を変えたのですか？

筒井　私は声を喉から出していたんですよ。Juice=Juiceの段原瑠々さんがすごく憧れなんですけど、段原さんは力強い声を出しているので、私も同じような歌い方をしていたんです。でも、お母さんが“それを真似して歌うのは澪心らしくないし、聴いているほうもあんまり楽しくならない”と言われて。

自分らしい歌い方ってなんだろう？って考えていたときに、お母さんに“学校の校歌を歌っているときの澪心は、すごくいい声だよ”って言われたんです。学校の校歌を歌っているときに私は力を入れていないなと思って、そういうことかと思いました。

息を吐いているような感じで声を出すことでキレイな歌い方になるので、そういう部分を研究していましたね。

Tsutsui Roko: Actually, I changed my way of singing for the audition. I’d applied for Haropuro auditions many times and failed. I realized I might have been an applicant no group wanted. Then I and my mother talked about what I was lacking for the success and how to make it up. I’ve passed the audition this time by having changed my singing style. So I owe a lot to my mother.

― So you got good advices from your mother. What did you change about your singing?

Tsutsui Roko: I used to strain my throat to sing. I adore Danbara Ruru-san of Juice=Juice so much that I tried to imitate her strong singing voice. But my mother once told me “Imitating someone else’s singing won’t make you and your audience happy.” Then I’d been wondering what’s my own singing style, and my mother gave me another advice “The way you sing the school song sounds very comfortable.” I got the hang of it. Singing as naturally as breathing out makes my voice clearer. I focused on it to improve my singing those days.
