Mikey trudged through the halls of Bonten, wanting nothing more than to have a peaceful lunch with you. The meeting that he had just attended was nothing but draining and boring, him almost falling asleep multiple times during it. The only thing that got him through the whole, painsaking meeting, was you.

The both of you had made plans to have lunch at Bonten HQ's despite you working somewhere else. Mikey was also looking forward to the bento that you had prepared for him. Ever since the both of you had dated, you had made sure that he was eating proper meals and getting the nutrients he needed for the day.

Yeah, he had watched you from the kitchen island make his bento for the next day. But had that made him less excited? Not one bit. Finally, he had arrived at the front of his office's door. Relief rushed over him as he was finally able to relax and possibly get some sleep in. He hears music coming from the other side of the door, confirming that it was you.

He opened the door, a small smile spreading on his lips at the sight. There you were, sitting at his desk. The morning light was overflowing the room, shining through the massive glass window behind you. In all Mikey's honesty, he thought that you looked ethereal with the sun shining on you.

Your expression was full of concentration as your full attention was on nothing but the card tower stacked on Mikey's desk. Your tongue poked out as you tried to add another two cards leaning on each other, making an upside down V. Mikey walked slowly, not wanting to knock over all of your hard work.

The closer Mikey got, the more you noticed him. He came behind the chair you were sitting in, wrapping his arms around your shoulder as his face snuggled his way into your neck. He sighed, happy that he was out of that sleep inducing meeting. You on the other hand were trying to make the two cards balance on top of the tower.

"Shit."

Mikey looked up from the place in your neck, to now see the tower of cards disappear. Now that sat on the desk was a pile of cards some flipped over to see their suits, others with the back facing up. He then glanced at your expression, your eyebrows furrowed as you glared at the pile of cards.

"Sorry."

You looked over at Mikey, only to already see him looking at you. Why would he be saying sorry? It's not like it was his fault that the cards decided to fall like domino's. Patting your lap you gave Mikey an option to sit on it, just like you did every time the two of you had these lunch dates. Mikey happily climbed on as you leaned over to grab the two of your bentos.

"It wasn't your fault, hun. I was expecting it to fall any moment anyway."

The two of you had begun eating while chatting about how the morning of each other's work had gone. Every so often you would feed Mikey, then Mikey would feed you.

"Yeah."

"Where did you learn to do that?"

"Stack cards?"

You asked, humming in satisfaction of how delicious the piece of cake that you had just popped into your mouth.

"Yeah."

Now that both of you were done eating, the bento boxes are now being disregarded on Mikey's desk. You hummed, thinking about the question, swaying the chair left and right as Mikey clung to you like a koala. It took a minute for you to think, having to dig deep into your memories.

"Boredom I guess. I was never really that good but I used to do it all the time when I was younger. It kinda was a comfort in a way when I felt overwhelmed."

Mikey only hummed, the both of you being thrown into a comfortable silence, with nothing but your playlist playing softly in the back. Mikey could only be lulled further and further into sleep as you rubbed circles on his back. You kissed the top of his head, there being a 'chu' sound.

"Go to sleep Manjiro, you deserve it. I'll wake you up when lunch is over."

Still in the "polishing up" phase, but I'm thinking about incorporating more of my own island into Skye's portrayal for inspiration's sake. For example, I have Audie on my island too, and the idea of the two of them being good friends is real cute to me so I'll be adding that to Skye's canon here (among some other trivia-esque things like it).

I know in-game the villager limit per island is 10, but this is RP so let's just ignore that and go with the assumption the island Skye's on is massive with 20+ villagers on it. Breathing more realism into the life stim game because it does kinda need it.

Funnily enough, I still have some muse for Skye, but my dashboard and 95% of my followers are siiiiilent. If I return here, I’ll have to make a big effort to extend out and follow blogs of multiple fandoms (probably sticking more to Nintendo ones for obvious reasons), but that sounds super tedious and I can’t be bothered to deal with it rn.

So...I’ll probably revive this blog someday. We’ll see.

Thought I’d pop on here to say that I finally got Skye on my island! Nookazon came in clutch big time.

Can’t lie, her muse is starting to stir a bit, but...pretty much all of the blogs I’m following have been inactive for over a year or close to it. Not sure how to get this blog off of the ground if I decide on it :/

I’m so happy to see more Animal Crossing blogs popping up! I remember back when I rped Skye around 2015-16, the AC RP comm died and never made a resurgence until now. Thank you New Horizons.

I hate to say it but, my desire to make more icons before really being here is........keeping me from being here. I’m on a grind right now to kick out some of my villagers and hunt for Skye, so maybe I can get some nice screencaps together soon.

I also really really want that fanartist to get back to me, I adore how they draw Skye.
