Kötü bir diziydi diyebilirim. Biraz karamsar yaklaşacağım ama basit bir diziydi. Bu daha doğru bir tabir oldu. Kötüden ziyade basit bir diziydi. No Ae-Jung( Song Ji-Hyo) genç yaşlarda kızı olan bekar bir annedir. Bir film şirketinde yapımcı olarak çalışır. Ajans sahibi kaçıp gidince alacaklılar imza sahibi olduğu için Ae-Jung ‘un peşine düşer. Alacaklılardan biri de mafyatik Koo Pa-Do(Kim Min-Jun)’dur. Bu korkutucu yakuza kılıklı adam tepesine çökünce Ae-Jung durumu kurtarmak için ünlü bir yazarın kitabını senaryolaştıracağını ve buradan gelen para ile borcunu kapatacağını söyler. Enteresan bir tesadüf ile de Ae-Jung’un kızı ile mafyatik Pa-Do’nun oğlu aynı sınıftadırlar. Veli toplantısında ortaya çıkar ki ikili çok yakın arkadaş olmuşlardır. Oğlu zorbalığa uğrarken kız onu korumuştur. Mafyanın oğluna da zorbalık yapılması bir tık manasız gelmedi değil. Neyse..

Bir şekilde çekilmesi istenen kitaba karar verilir. “Aşk yok” adlı kitap için yazarı Oh Dae-O(Son Ho-Jun) ile iletişime geçilir. Dae-O bu kitabı üniversitede neden bittiğini bilmediği ilişkisi üzerine yazmıştır. O zamanlar çok yakın arkadaşı olan Ryu Jin(Song Jong-Ho) ise ünlü bir oyuncudur. Yıldızı parlak, önü açıktır. Ve efendime söyleyeyim; yazar bey yapımcımızın eski sevgilidir. Üç arkadaş bu ayrılıktan sonra hiç görüşmemişler. Yaşanan bu mafyatik olaylardan sonra mecburen yazarı ikna etmesi gerekir. Ve bunun çözümünü de neden ayrıldıklarını söyleyeceğine söz vermekte bulur.

No Ha-Nee(Um Chae-Young),  Ae-Jung’un kızıdır. Galiba ortaokul ayarında bir yaştaydı. Okula kızını almaya geldiği bir gün sınıf öğretmeni ile tanışır. Birde bakarlar ki öğretmen Oh Yeon-Woo(Koo Ja-Sung)’da aynı üniversiteden ama bir alt sınıftan çıkmasın mı? Annesi ile öğretmeninin isminin yazılı olduğu bir defter bulan Ha-Nee’de bu durumdan şüphelenmeye başlayınca “benim babam kim” sorusunu kazık kadar olduktan sonra sormak aklına geliyor.

Ve sonrası… mafyatik adam, yazar, öğretmen ve oyuncu potansiyel baba adayı oluyorlar. Dizide üç farklı hikaye ilerliyor. Biri Ha-Nee’nin babasının hangi adam olduğunu bulma planları. İkincisi erkeklerin Ae-Jung’u elde etme çabaları. Üçüncüsü ise, Ae-Jung’un kitabı filme çekmeye çalışmasıydı. Ve bonus hikaye de geçmiş ilişkileri neydi sorusu diyebiliriz.

Kısaca özetlersek dizi bu kadar. Couple on The backtrack dizisinde sevemediğim Son Ho-Jun’ı burada sevdim. Song Ji-Hyo ise ilk kez izlediğim bir isim oldu. Hwang Jung-Eum’a çok benzettim. Sanki Jung-Eum bağırmayınca Ji-Hyo’a dönüşüyormuş gibiydi benim gözümde.

I’d say it was a bad drama. Actually, to put it more accurately—it was a simple one. That’s a better word. Not necessarily bad, but definitely basic. No Ae-Jung (Song Ji-Hyo) is a single mother who had her daughter at a young age. She works as a film producer, but when the head of her agency suddenly disappears, she’s left to deal with the creditors since she’s the legal signee. One of those creditors turns out to be the intimidating, yakuza-like Koo Pa-Do (Kim Min-Jun). When he comes down on her, Ae-Jung tries to talk her way out by claiming she’s about to adapt a famous author’s novel into a screenplay, and she’ll use the earnings to pay him back.

A funny coincidence: Ae-Jung’s daughter ends up being in the same class as Pa-Do’s son. Turns out they’re actually best friends, and Ae-Jung’s daughter has even protected him from school bullies. (Honestly, it felt a bit off that the scary mafia guy’s son was getting bullied at school, but let’s go with it.)

Eventually, the book that’s going to be adapted is chosen: Love Doesn’t Exist. The author, Oh Dae-O (Son Ho-Jun), wrote it based on a mysterious college breakup. Back then, he was close friends with Ryu Jin (Song Jong-Ho), now a top actor. And yes—Dae-O is Ae-Jung’s ex. The trio hasn’t spoken since that fallout, but the recent events force them back together. Ae-Jung has to convince him to adapt the book, and the only way is to promise she’ll finally tell him why they broke up.

Meanwhile, No Ha-Nee (Um Chae-Young), Ae-Jung’s daughter—probably in middle school—starts asking “Who’s my dad?” after stumbling upon a notebook with her mom’s name next to her teacher’s, Oh Yeon-Woo (Koo Ja-Sung). Turns out he also went to the same university and was a year below Ae-Jung. Naturally, he becomes a suspect too.

So now we’ve got four potential fathers: the mafia guy, the writer, the teacher, and the actor. The drama splits into three main storylines: Ha-Nee trying to figure out who her dad is, the men all competing to win Ae-Jung over, and Ae-Jung trying to get the movie made. And of course, there’s a bonus mystery: what really happened in their past relationships?

That’s pretty much the whole show. I actually liked Son Ho-Jun here, even though I didn’t care for him in Couple on the Backtrack. Song Ji-Hyo was a first-time watch for me, and she reminded me a lot of Hwang Jung-Eum. It was like, when Jung-Eum stops shouting, she becomes Ji-Hyo—that’s how it felt.

Was it watchable? Sure. But you’re not missing much if you skip it.

So im watching todays episode of Was It Love and Ae Jeong is really starting to get on my nerves. Its really unfair to everyone for her to keep letting Ha Nee believe that Dae Oh left them and abandoned them. I understand she loves her daughter but Dae Oh gets the short end of the stick for everything.

Don't get me wrong he definitely has an annoying personality sometimes but he didnt even know he had a child because nobody ever told him and Jin was the one who deleted the message. Now that he does know Ae Jeong won't tell Ha Nee that he didnt even know and while she doesn't need to say it in those terms she won't say that is all a misunderstanding. Before Dae Oh fessed up Ae Jeong was 100% fine with Ha Nee never even knowing.

Did We Love Each Other? : An Introduce

This one drama give me its best impression for the teaser from her daughter perspective. At the beginning, I think it would be comedy one drama for hunting the daughter’s father, but after watching for several episodes, yes, it would be a warm-hearted drama with a comedy inside. What I was telling is a drama named Was It Love? or  우리, 사랑했을까?

I give my adore to the one No Aejeong for her struggle to be the best mother and the best father for Hanee, her daughter. Hanee such a strong girl with no fear inside her but in fact, she really wanna know about her father. From a 14 years old Hanee, we learn about to be strong despite of thing that we never had but almost everyone have. 

The one that I like also about how Aejeong still have big willingness to pursue her dream. She do it from the first step and reach her goal. To be accountant first, and to be production director then.

Of course it will not only tell about Aejeong and Hanee, but also about past Aejeong, 14 years ago, and her love story. From this 14 number, we know it would be related Hanee and who’s actually her father? This question really frustrating.
