This  whole  trip  around  to  drum  up  hype  for  The  Seven  was  ,  a  big  giant  waste  of  his  fucking  time.   He  didn't  have  time  to  go  wherever  the  hell  they  wanted  him  to  go  ,         (  telling  some  bullshit  lie  about  how  they  were  all  friends  and  loved  eachother.  )   What  a  load  of  horseshit.   Bucky  couldn't  trust  a  sing  one  of  these  assholes  to  come  save  him  from  a  foxhole  ,  because  none  of  them  were  genuine  enough  to  know  how  they  would  react.   The  second  he  got  an  idea  on  someone  when  he  first  got  there  ,  the  table  oh  so  quickly  shifted.   He'd  expected  as  much  ,  this  wasn't  his  first  go  around  with  Vought  ,  but  it  had  complicated  things.   The  opportunity  Edgar  had  offered  him  was  one  he  couldn't  pass  up  in  order  to  find  her  ,  but  this  whole  charade  he  had  to  put  on  was  more  than  a  complication.

At  the  very  least  ,  he  could  be  thankful  it  was  Kara  he  was  being  forced  on  this  sideshow  with  ,  or  rather  …  Supergirl?         (  the  whole  superhero  name  being  your  new  identity  felt  like  a  bit  much.  )   but  a  small  annoyance  he  was  willing  to  put  up  with  ,  if  it  got  him  closer  to  his  end  goal  of  finding  Anya.   He  could  put  up  with  this  stupid  dancing  monkey  act  for  now.   He  had  to  gain  some  trust  at  least  with  some  people.   Kara  was  his  first  objective.   She  was  smart  ,  but  also  kept  very  close  to  Vought.   If  there  was  anyone  who  would  know  where  to  find  her  ,  it  would  be  her.         (  Maybe  this  trip  would  prove  to  be  useful  afterall.  )   He'd  agreed  to  meet  her  in  the  lobby  ,  for  a  little  get  to  know  one  another  breakfast.   It  had  been  a  while  since  Bucky  had  gotten  to  just  let  go  for  a  minute.   Be  normal.   Not  since  he  came  here  to  join  The  Seven.

He  wasn't  in  his  gear  ,  not  yet  anyways.   He'd  wait  to  change  into  those  when  they  were  on  the  train.   He  was  going  to  be  spending  plenty  of  time  in  that  thing  later.   His  metal  arm  however  covered  under  a  jacket  ,  wearing  varying  shades  of  black  and  grey.   His  normal  get  up.         (  something  that  their  fearless  leader  had  so  comically  pointed  out  once  before.  )   Bucky  preferred  to  go  unnnoticed.   Especially  in  places  like  this.   Kara  ,  on  the  other  hand  …  was  nearly  impossible  not  to  notice.   Not  to  him  at  least.   Right  when  he  said  he'd  meet  her  ,  the  elevator  dinged  ,  and  when  the  doors  opened  ,  the  blonde  hero  emerged.   Bucky  smiled  ,  pearly  whites  showing  as  he  lifted  his  metal  arm  to  wave  her  direction  to  get  her  attention.   

❛  Happy  to  report  ,  I  did  in  fact  get  some  sleep.   As  per  the  boss's  orders.  ❜   It  was  a  playful  joke  ,  to  how  he  had  left  their  text  conversation  the  night  before.   ❛  Hey  uh  ,  thanks  for  suggesting  breakfast.   It'll  be  easier  pulling  all  this  off  if  I  actually  get  to  know  a  little  bit  out  ya.  ❜

it's  cradled  and  sleeping  in  her  arms,  the  little  puppy  she'd  found  in  the  alley  way.  it's  dirty,  it's  so  dirty,  but  she  doesn't  mind  because  of  course  she  couldn't  just  leave  the  poor  thing  all  by  itself.  a  little  skip  as  she  crosses  the  threshold  of  the  apartment,  calling  bucky's  name  in  a  sing-song  tone.

Ani  wanting  to  get  out  more  on  her  own  was  a  great  idea.   In  theory.   They  hadn't  really  talked  about  the  rules.   What  to  do  and  more  importantly  ,  what  to  not  bring  home  to  the  apartment.   Not  that  he  didn't  want  her  to  make  this  place  feel  more  at  home  for  her.         (  that  was  exactly  what  he  wanted  her  to  do.  )   His  hope  was  that  he  would  come  to  see  this  place  as  her  home.   But  bringing  home  a  puppy  was  something  they  needed  to  talk  about  before  doing.   Hearing  her  come  in  ,  he  was  in  the  bathroom.   Finishing  up  with  some  cleaning.   Weekends  were  usually  days  when  he  tried  to  get  that  done  if  he  wasn't  on  a  mission.

Coming  out  of  the  bathroom  ,  eyes  went  wide  at  the  puppy  covered  in  dirt  and  grime.   His  expression  softened  from  the  surprise  ,  his  shoulders  falling  some  as  he  smiled  and  looked  at  Ani.   ❛  Well  isn't  this  a  cutie.   Where'd  ya  find  this  one?  ❜   Mostly  questions  to  figure  out  if  he  needed  to  take  this  dog  back  anywhere.         (  though  he  seriously  doubted  it  would  be  well  off  where  it  came  from.  )   He  looked  over  the  puppy  as  he  approached  them  casually  ,  a  soft  smile  when  he  seem  happy  to  see  Bucky  ,  only  for  Alpine  to  hiss  loudly  before  running  off  to  Bucky's  room.

❛  I  thought  that  might  happen  ,  ❜   He  scoffed  as  he  watched  the  cat  slink  off  ,  before  looking  back  to  Ani  and  the  puppy.  ❛  Did  uh  …  Did  we  talk  about  getting  a  puppy?  ❜   He  knew  it  had  come  up.   That  he  said  they  would  talk  about  it.   But  he  had  been  hoping  for  a  little  bit  more  time  for  them  to  talk  about  it.   The  puppy  was  pretty  cute  though.

Running  from  the  gang  they  had  been  part  of  was  going  to  be  no  easy  task.   He  tried  to  be  frank  with  her  from  the  start  ,  and  he  and  Steve's  call  had  still  caused  friction.   Enough  that  she  had  suggested  maybe  he  stay  at  the  clubhouse  instead  of  coming  back  to  Steve  and  Nat's  place  ,         (  to  which  said  friend  had  convinced  him  to  go  talk  to  her  about  it.  )   Talking  had  only  happened  for  so  long  ,  before  they  were  in  one  another's  arms.   The  plans  of  him  staying  the  night  at  the  clubhouse  long  since  forgotten  as  he  kicked  the  door  to  the  guestroom  they  had  been  staying  in  closed.

Laying  her  on  the  bed  ,  there  was  a  hungry  look  in  hiss  eyes.   All  of  this  was  because  they  needed  one  another  more  than  they  felt  the  need  to  stay  alive  without  one  another.   Already  ,         (  she  was  being  braver  than  he  would  have  ever  given  her  credit  for.  )   and  he  wasn't  planning  on  being  that  fool  again.   Worry  would  still  always  be  there  for  her.   Which  had  been  the  main  source  of  why  he  had  been  so  stubborn  before.   He  was  always  willing  to  adjust  where  needed.   He  loved  her  ,  and  only  wanted  to  see  her  safe  an  happy.

Even  at  the  expense  of  him  looking  like  a  complete  idiot.

Looking  down  at  her  ,  a  hand  reached  to  tuck  some  blonde  locks  behind  her  ear.   Taking  a  moment  to  marvel  at  her  some.         (  how  lucky  he  had  gotten  to  be  the  one  that  she  fell  for.  )   He'd  never  understand  what  she  saw  in  him.   But  never  stop  counting  his  blessings  either.   He  smiled  ,  white  teeth  flashing  in  the  dark  of  the  room.   ❛  God  you're  beautiful.   How'd  I  get  so  lucky.  ❜
