- first aid

| • he'd be worried at first with the amount of coffee you've consumed ,, having learned about humans and other things concerning them incase of an emergency

| • in this case ,, itd seem the knowledge he learned wasnt too helpful

| • bouncing all around the medbay and just hyper in general was quite a pain for first aid to deal with

| • but he didnt want to be too rude to you ,, and gently coaxed you into spending all that energy of yours running laps around the edge of the medlab where you wouldnt get too hurt

| • though when you finally wear it off ,, he'll be quick to scold you ,, holding his digit in front of your face and waving it side to side in a 'no no' motion before taking you to his habsuite and laying you down for a nap

- brainstorm

| • he honestly doesnt know better okay ? you could tell him anything and suddenly he wants to put it to the test

| • so when you said you could drink a bunch of cups of coffee and wouldnt bat an eye ,, he was immediately like bet and then that led to the current situation

| • perceptor is facepalming and immediately making brainstorm take blame for encouraging you to do this ,, because now theres a hyperactive human running around the lab

| • i mean you're practically flying around with how much coffee youve drank ,, hell you could probably beat blurr in a race

| • official you wouldnt say that out loud because lord knows some of his fans to be a bit crazy and would immediately be on your case saying "no you wouldn't !!" and maybe a few death threats involved as well

| • dont mention it in front of brainstorm either because hes already calling blurr to set you up for a race

| • hes no help ,, dont ever tell him your ideas or encourage his crazy ideas unless you wanna end up in magnus's office ,, having him scold you like a dad does to their child who drew on the walls and is trying not to laugh at the situation

- perceptor

| • thanks to brainstorm ,, you chugged too much coffee than your body ever really needed ,, and with perceptor as your not-so-official-but-official-in-his-mind-protector-slash-guardian-slash-alien-robot-boyfriend-slash-fun-killer he just sighs and takes you out the lab

| • he doesnt have the patience to deal with any acidic spills from you bouncing off the walls left and right

| • nor does he really need you getting hurt in any way shape or form

| • lets just say its an awkward trip to the medbay to see if ratchet has anything to help with your situation

| • and when he comes up empty handed ,, percy resorts to scolding you whilst the caffeine starts to wear off

| • it taught you better than to listen to brainstorm again because bro was yapping at 100 words per minute you swore he couldve talked faster than blurr at that point

| • bro was an absolute chatterbox just yapping and yapping that you fell asleep

| • never again would you do that ,, or think about doing that because the headache afterwards when you woke up was so not worth it

- chromedome

| • he also doesnt know any better ,, but he's definitely more responsible than brainstorm is

| • he'd know to at least keep a lot of caffeine or high sugar products out of your reach ,, just hiding it on your top shelves or above your cabinets like parents do with their kids' halloween candy

| • though when you accidentally made too much coffee ,, and didnt really feel like wasting it ,, you drank it all in one go ,, or well multiple big ass gulps

| • and then rewind walks in on the scene and sees how hyper you are and is honestly thinking youre sick with some make-a-person-crazy-illness-virus-disease-thing that he swears is somewhere in his database

| • and now chromedome has to play dad and parent you the whole time

| • bro probably put your ass on a leash ,, locking it in so the rope only goes so far and just stands there as you run around

| • this is what he gets ,, he thinks to himself ,, its the last time hes putting something so low in your reach again

| • at this point ,, hes just gonna store all your unhealthy and junk food away in a desk in his habsuite

| • he'll leave you fruit and vegetables but if you want coffee ever again youre gonna have to behave really good to get it

| • and its only a spoonful ,, as a little treat

- cyclonus

| • so you just trying to show and answer tailgates crazy ass questions that youre not even sure where he got them from

| • he probably got them from his ass at this point ,, asking if the coffee gives you super powers and you have to explain thats not true before he spreads lies around

| • and if that happened ,, you shivered at the thought of magnus banning your coffee aboard the lost light

| • that was pure trauma to even think about right there

| • anyways you made too much ,, and instead of storing it away or pouring it down the drain ,, tailgate dared you to drink it all

| • and well ,, momma aint raise no pussy but she did raise someone who makes bad decisions

| • because the moment you get your spurge of energy tailgate runs to cyclonus and tells him all about it

| • bros going on and on about how youve lost your mind and he thinks youre gonna die and cyclonus had like 600 heart attacks right then and there

| • he busts in like hes the damn swat team ,, door kicked down and pieces of it flying everywhere as you're running around like a wild banshee

| • he's looking for the demon and meanwhile youre out here acting like a damn demon ,, almost frothing at the mouth from how insane you are from the coffee

| • lets just say it makes magnus ban tailgate from ever daring you to do anything ,, bans you from having your coffee ,, and bans cyclonus for ever kicking down a door like that ever again because it was so unnecessary

The GEMS!!!!!

Poorly made doodles but they are variant versions of Jemmes Star, like I did with Paloma. The difference was that I never presented them as LM3 ocs. But thanks to Miitopia, it encouraged me enough to keep them and continue to imagine their designs and backstory.

I think if the team ever saw them have a peaceful internation together, they'd be baffled. Must be a dream if those two are getting along with anything, right..? –🎇

BAHAHA Yes ! Surprisingly, Prowl and Brainstorm are capable of working together without conflict !

I think the team would get concerned if they went on too long without an argument or Brainstorm shouting. I think if Prowl and Brainstorm were a little more friendly towards each other, everyone would wonder if they hit their heads too hard

📖 Planning

Honestly? I used one of Nanowrimo’s brainstorming guides. Pretty sure you can find it as a part of their middle-grade resource packets. It was specifically the page where you write down anything you’re interested in, then pick three and start to draw connections between them.

(My three for TSS were: bards, possession dynamics, and caves! And by possession dynamics, I was specifically thinking of Ling and Greed from FMA:B).

Honestly, I recommend that process if you have vague ideas, but nothing solid enough to work with yet. It’s a pretty low-stakes game to start making new connections between things that already interest you, and could lead to some cool places.

📖 Drafting

I wrote a version of the book for Nano 2020. Felt ‘meh’ about it, and left it hanging until Nano 2021, when I went “eh, I wanna write something, but I don’t have any new ideas. And I keep thinking about Emry Karic and Aspen. what if I just...re-wrote that?”

After that, it was a lot of:

crying on the couch because the book was unfixable and I sucked

you hit the button ,, listening in as rodimus spoke again . the subtitles popped up ,, lighting up with every word he spoke . " lets go then ! i'll introduce you to the crew ." he pointed to himself ,, " firstly ,, i am rodimus prime . the co-captain and original captain of this ship !" he pointed towards one of the mechs beside him . " this is megatron ,, but no need to worry ! he wont hurt you ! and that over there is ultra magnus ,, though hes usually stuck up most the time . dont mind him . next is the rest of the crew ,, come on !" the screen faded out ,, before reappearing in front of a new room .

" this is the medibay ! we have our medics here ,, if you feel unwell theyre your go to !" he winked ,, his servo waving along in the air as he talked . the two of you walked inside ,, taking a glimpse around . there were a few patients in already ,, a few drones flying around and messes on the counters everywhere . must've been quite the busy day .

" here is ratchet ,, our chief medical officer ! he knows the most about you humans so dont be shy to approach him if you don't feel too good . dont worry ,, he doesnt bite !" rodimus had swung his arm around the bot . ratchet groaned ,, pushing rodimus off him . he stood at 7'8 ,, holding his servo out to shake your hand . " its nice to meet you ,, liason (y/n) ." another bot came over ,, datapad in his servo . " this here is first aid ,, he'll soon become the new chief medical officer when im done teaching him ." first aid stood around the same height as rodimus ,, by just an inch shorter .

" hello !" he waved to you before turning to ratchet ,, the two of them walking away and discussing whatever it was they needed to . " that over there ,," rodimus pointed to another bot ,, who was almost exactly 8 foot ,, " is ambulon ! hes also a medic here ." ambulon looked up from the patient he was tending to ,, then looked towards you . he gave a slight smile and wave before going back to work . " that concludes the medibay ,, we'll stop by the lab and see whats going on there ." the screen faded once more before appearing at the lab .

inside were pristine white walls ,, and beakers everywhere . there was a lot of equipment ,, watching where you walked as though it were real and not wanting to trip over any or damage them . a purple bot looked up from her wrench ,, smile on her face when she saw you . " hello ! you must be the new liason . i'm nautica ,, its nice to meet you !" you gave her a small wave ,, before turning to where rodimus was talking to a few other bots . " this here ,," rodimus turned around and began to speak , " is perceptor . hes one of our scientists here . and this is brainstorm ,, hes a weapons engineer ,, dont let him give you anything though ." brainstorm chuckled ,, waving him off .

" dont mind him ,, im quite nice ,, and charming !" brainstorm stood a little taller than rodimus ,, about 7'9 and perceptor looked to be 8'2 . you guessed nautica was about 7'4 ,, as she was the shortest of the group when she stood beside them . " this is nautica ,, shes our quantum mechanic ." rodimus introduced ,, the purple bot raising a servo to her mouth as she laughed a little .

" this is getaway ,, hes not a scientist or engineer ,, hes just loitering around ." rodimus crossed his arms as he gave a harsh look to the bot . getaway stood a little taller than rodimus ,, 7'7 ,, shaking his head at the prime . " it is nice to meet you liason ,," he greeted you . rodimus eyed the two of you before shoving getaway a bit and returning to you . " we'll hit up swerves now ,, and pay a trip rung ." was all he said before the screen faded out and in .

" swerves is a bar on the ship ,, where we all go whenever our shifts are done or whenever in general ." rodimus shrugged ,, walking through the doorway . all around were bots ,, seated and standing ,, leaning against walls and tables as they chatted and slurped at their drinks . they all seem preoccupied ,, not once turning their helms to see who just walked in .

" over there are a few bots ,," rodimus pointed ,, and you both walked over . behind the counter was a tall mech ,, standing at 8'3 and colored with mostly greyish blue metal . " this is bluestreak ,, he helps tend to the bar with swerve ." bluestreak flashed you a wink and a smile as he polished a glass ,, before turning to a bot with an order . " and the minibot right there is swerve . he runs the bar ,," before rodimus could fully introduce the bot he was already rushing over with a wide smile on his face .

" hello ! you must be the new liason ! welcome to swerves !! im ,, uh ,, swerve ,, heh . anyways ,, what can i get ya ? wait ,, nevermind ,, i forgot ,, i dont think i have any human safe drinks for you . im sorry about that ,, ill have to find some for you soon though !" rodimus raised his hand ,, sighing as he stopped the minibot . " thank you for the introduction swerve ,, but we have other bots to meet ." the red minibot shrunk back a bit ,, watching as rodimus turned and looked out on the room .

" hey ,," swerve whispered ,, sliding a paper towards you . " i'm hiring ,, if youre ever free for an extra shift by chance . you can rack up some shanix and stuff ,, yknow ,, if you wanna !" he gave you finger guns before turning to take a bot's order like bluestreak . you took the paper ,, stuffing it away in your inventory . he seemed like a nice guy .

" over here ,, (y/n) ! theres a few bots id like you to meet ." rodimus said before you two walked over to a table . " hey ,," rodimus leaned against the table ,, " (y/n) ,, id like you to meet chromedome and rewind !" said bots waved at you . rewind ,, who you guessed was the shorter of the two ,, started to speak . " well ,, its nice to meet you (y/n) ! im rewind ,, and this is my conjunx chromedome . how are you liking the lost light so far ?" he tilted his head ,, a read glare coming from the side .

" its been great so far ! im excited to start working ,," you answered ,, smiling at the minibot . " thats lovely ,, it'll be nice to work alongside you ." chromedome said . " nice to meet you (y/n) ,," a white minibot raised his servo at you . " i'm tailgate ! you humans are so interesting . this is my first time seeing one ,," he chuckled as he reached over to touch you . you werent able to feel it ,, but it seemed like he was touching your head .

" enough of that tailgate ,," rodimus pushed his servo off you .
